  1. Today
  2. The fight against the Houthis is getting ugly. Today the Truman came under fire and had to take evasive action. In doing so An F-18 that was under tow fell overboard taking the tow vehicle with it. US Navy loses $60 million jet at sea after it fell overboard from aircraft carrier Maneuver kill?
  3. That day was today for that piece of trash. He was found guilty of multiple charges. His sentencing is 3 July. https://kdvr.com/news/local/man-found-guilty-of-murder-in-dui-crash-that-killed-us-air-force-lieutenant-colonel
  4. Would be pretty wild to watch if they release any video. Glad no one got hurt!
  5. Related to the theme of this thread, posted as I thought Farage described the issue very well: https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2025/04/28/farages-reform-set-to-spark-biggest-british-political-realignment-in-a-century-says-top-pollster/ “Capitalism is dead, it doesn’t exist, we’re living in corporatism. An unholy alliance of big business, big banks, and big government… I genuinely think we won’t get economic growth if the country is dominated by six giant multinationals, none of whom pay tax on-shore.”
  6. Not to my knowledge.
  7. Yesterday
  8. Bill Oreilly still exists? And people listen to his guesses about economics? Jesus.
  9. People went to college to do things besides chase ass?
  10. Got it...my high-order opener may have been a bit much...it's just sleepy San Angelo rarely gets attention. I still think the "intel nerd furry" theory may end up being the right one, too.
  11. I have no idea what the majors were of people I flew with. Didn’t matter to us. As long as you knew/did your job. As long as you were someone I wanted to have a beer with afterwards. Sent from my iPhone
  12. No correlation. I'm the best pilot I've ever flown with and I majored in engineering. But I've known fuzzy majors who weren't half bad too.
  13. He is not a pilot...
  14. Meme came form the Airman and NCO group which has been fairly good at sniffing things out early.
  15. So you are saying you have a business major?
  16. Tracking the resemblance...just nothing popping up on the ol' googleizer as far as DEI or other toxic leadership controversies go. I've never been stationed there, just grew up there, and the old man hasn't sent me any local news reporting on it either...I'll wait and see if there's something over the next few days to bubbles up.
  17. I've unfortunately had pretty much a uniformly negative experience with SEAL leadership at the FGO and GO/FO level. The guys at the team level were usually pretty good but even there they usually weren't my favorite organization to work with. After looking at all the evidence I honestly don't understand how they thought stonewalling Chapman's MOH was going to work out/be a good idea. Pretty atrocious behavior from the SEALs all around, and it's continuing.
  18. What the absolute fuck...why is San Angelo (Goodfellow AFB) the model for toxic Wing Commanders? Seems like a lot of Intel nerd trainees are mad they can't wear their furry suits like the Keesler kids do. It can't be the fire dawgs...they kind of behavior is handled internally for course correction. Granted, GAFB had a fairly well-known Sq/CC and DO toxic combo, but that was in the '08 (?) timeframe.
  19. The best pilots I flew with were business majors, the worst were STEM.
  20. This guy has some interesting videos. What got my attention was the 30mm pointer
  21. Last week
  22. Looking forward to seeing what the experts discover. NOT looking forward to what the YouTube aircraft ambulance chasers will speculate on, to get their ratings up.
  23. Fuck the SEALs. Plenty of good ones but an above average amount of shitbags for a Tiered organization. I worked at the Beach; they have a massive ego issue within the command. How anyone could see this account and not be excited to celebrate Chapman is beyond me but they’ve drawn it out for years. Disgusting.
  24. The SEALs involved with this incident are simply disgusting. The gunship was from my squadron the situation is still a sore point. Rob Harrison, now a retired CMSgt, was the DSO on board Grim that night and he fought hard to get Chappy recognized. Greta interview with Rob here.
  25. Funny I was an Aero major but philosophy was one of the most interesting classes to me.
