I have no idea what the majors were of people I flew with. Didn’t matter to us. As long as you knew/did your job. As long as you were someone I wanted to have a beer with afterwards. No correlation. I'm the best pilot I've ever flown with and I majored in engineering. But I've known fuzzy majors who weren't half bad too.

He is not a pilot...

Meme came form the Airman and NCO group which has been fairly good at sniffing things out early.
-
So you are saying you have a business major?

Tracking the resemblance...just nothing popping up on the ol' googleizer as far as DEI or other toxic leadership controversies go. I've never been stationed there, just grew up there, and the old man hasn't sent me any local news reporting on it either...I'll wait and see if there's something over the next few days to bubbles up.

I've unfortunately had pretty much a uniformly negative experience with SEAL leadership at the FGO and GO/FO level. The guys at the team level were usually pretty good but even there they usually weren't my favorite organization to work with. After looking at all the evidence I honestly don't understand how they thought stonewalling Chapman's MOH was going to work out/be a good idea. Pretty atrocious behavior from the SEALs all around, and it's continuing.

What the absolute fuck...why is San Angelo (Goodfellow AFB) the model for toxic Wing Commanders? Seems like a lot of Intel nerd trainees are mad they can't wear their furry suits like the Keesler kids do. It can't be the fire dawgs...they kind of behavior is handled internally for course correction. Granted, GAFB had a fairly well-known Sq/CC and DO toxic combo, but that was in the '08 (?) timeframe.

The best pilots I flew with were business majors, the worst were STEM.

Looking forward to seeing what the experts discover. NOT looking forward to what the YouTube aircraft ambulance chasers will speculate on, to get their ratings up.

Fuck the SEALs. Plenty of good ones but an above average amount of shitbags for a Tiered organization. I worked at the Beach; they have a massive ego issue within the command. How anyone could see this account and not be excited to celebrate Chapman is beyond me but they’ve drawn it out for years. Disgusting.

The SEALs involved with this incident are simply disgusting. The gunship was from my squadron the situation is still a sore point. Rob Harrison, now a retired CMSgt, was the DSO on board Grim that night and he fought hard to get Chappy recognized. Greta interview with Rob here.

Funny I was an Aero major but philosophy was one of the most interesting classes to me.
-
Have heard from two people his aircraft had a structural (Aileron), failure.

Was on a trip and didn't get to post but Thursday April 24th was the 45th anniversary of Operation Eagle Claw, the failed mission to rescue the American hostages in Iran. The mission failure led to a Joint Chiefs of Staff commission to which was established to investigate the planning, organization, and execution of the Iranian hostage rescue mission. This commission, known as the Special Operations Review Group aimed to identify areas for improvement in future special operations. The mission's failure highlighted the need for better coordination, planning, and training, ultimately leading to the creation of the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). Much of the wreckage from the mission is sitting in the same place in the desert near Tabas Iran. Following the failure the survivors exfiled to Oman, when they landed they were greeted by cases of beer and a simple note from some British Civilians at the field. The note is below and is in AFSOC HQ today.

Huge difference in a kid that is a zero star recruit who moves up from a JUCO. The portal gave him one extra move which he took after pulling back from the NFL. But you believe what you want, you always do.

Idk, classical philosophy really helped me out as a pilot and officer. 😶
