Doesn't the gigantic list of things in this thread that people on both sides would disagree with kinda completely blow what you're saying out of the water. It is a shame they don't do more 2nd amendment cases, but honestly, I'll take them defending all the other amendments and then I'll drop a buck on the NRA, too. Covered.

ACLU....defended your right to use a swear word or put up your middle finger without being arrested for disorderly. ACLU....argued, won, and overturned the states ban on interracial marriages. ACLU....assisted in the Brown vs Board of Education case which led to a ban on racial segregation. ACLU....defended Rush Limbaugh during his drug trial stating law enforcement should have no right to look at his private medical records. ACLU....defended Christian students' right to preach in public parks. ACLU....defended Christian students wearing anti-Islam shirts to Florida public school. ACLU....Intervenes on behalf of Christian valedictorian, Michigan high schools agrees to stop censoring religious yearbook entries. Just sayin... You have to take the bad with the good.
