  1. 10 year old in trouble for waving gun shaped pizza slice: https://www.wkrn.com/story/16325409/gun-shaped-pizza-slice My fovorite quote from article "Taylor said the school system has made it clear that if her son eats his pizza into the shape of a gun again and there is a similar occurrence, he will be suspended." What a herd of pussies.

  3. Go look in the mirror? Go fuck yourself. I was with you and your quest up until this point. This is an internet forum, not the place to find real, accurate answers for your staff work. Go do some real Magnum P.I. detective work by coordinating with real fighter/bomber/airlift/tanker/etc wings and get your real answers the old fashioned way. Are you really going to try and change an AFI and the way the AF does business based on what you learned from anonymous dudes on the internet? The truth is you don't even know what you're asking for, therefore you aren't getting the answers you need. You talked about accurate fuel totals, which we all said was challenging at best and gave specific reasons why. Then you said stuff about 1/4 tank or 1/2 tank, which means absolutely nothing in terms of accurately accounting for fuel. You also talked about just basically verifying that a certain unit did AR on a certain day to send the bill to the right place and so no one can contest it. That's a totally different animal and does not require anyone to do extra paperwork since that information already exists on paper. You just need to figure out how to find it. So which is it? Do you really need to just verify that AR occurred or do you need accurate numbers? Until you can understand and accurately communicate the problem and what your goals are, then you aren't going to get any real answers. Right now, you're all over the place. I know you are trying to solve a problem that is outside of your expertise. Sucks to be you. But don't come into an internet forum looking for the real answers (wrong strategy) then throw spears when you don't like the answers (wrong tactic).

  4. ThreeHoler, this might be a dumb question, but what exactly do you guys use it for, other than "hey, this is really cool!" Is it just the better SA that comes with having a moving map? Or do you use it for more than that? Considering they're not officially approved for use in the cockpit....I'm just imagining a pilot standing in front of an accident investigation board saying "well, my ipad told me the localizer frequncy was 123.69, but it turns out they updated it to 169.23 and I didn't have my charts out cause the ipad is always right..."

  7. And...your thoughts on the accident posted above, NEFlyer? Narrative: While on a proficiency check flight both pilots attempted to perform a barrel roll (a prohibited aerobatics manoeuvre). The Beech struck the ground shortly before completion of the roll. PROBABLE CAUSE: "The deliberate disregard for Federal Aviation Regulations, GP Express procedures, and prudent concern for safety by the two pilots in their decision to execute an aerobatic manoeuvre during a scheduled check ride flight, and the failure of GP Express management to establish and maintain a commitment to instill professionalism in their pilots consistent with the highest levels of safety necessary for an airline operating scheduled passenger service."

  8. If the General leading the AIB had found Lockheed at fault, it probably would have jeopardized his high paying defense industry job when he retires.

  10. So there isn't religious intolerance in the Air Force? Gabe2Surf, your post summed it up nicely, but not in the way you intended, I think. Your diatribe seems to imply that if someone doesn't agree with being preached to by a Christian then they are a gay, communist, spineless yellow belly who doesn't believe in the war in Iraq and desires a sex change. In one post you managed to bash a religion, a sexual orientation, the constitution, and a political system. Congrats.

  11. I personally don't see a problem with it. Don't know how other services are, but the USAF is unbelievably overtly-Christian, and has been since the day I enlisted. If we're going to practice religious tolerance, then it's time to start practicing it instead of just paying it lip service.
