  1. Looks like the approval/extension to offer ACP was included in the 2013 National Defense Authorization Act, now to wait and see what the Air Force decides. Anyone have any insider info? SEC. 614. ONE-YEAR EXTENSION OF AUTHORITIES RELATING TO TITLE 37 CONSOLIDATED SPECIAL PAY, INCENTIVE PAY, AND BONUS AUTHORITIES. The following sections of title 37, United States Code, are amended by striking ‘‘December 31, 2012’’ and inserting ‘‘December 31, 2013’’: (1) Section 331(h), relating to general bonus authority for enlisted members. (2) Section 332(g), relating to general bonus authority for officers. (3) Section 333(i), relating to special bonus and incentive pay authorities for nuclear officers. (4) Section 334(i), relating to special aviation incentive pay and bonus authorities for officers. (5) Section 335(k), relating to special bonus and incentive pay authorities for officers in health professions. (6) Section 351(h), relating to hazardous duty pay. (7) Section 352(g), relating to assignment pay or special duty pay. (8) Section 353(i), relating to skill incentive pay or proficiency bonus. (9) Section 355(h), relating to retention incentives for members qualified in critical military skills or assigned to high priority units.

  2. Thought this was interesting from the CSAF latest letter: "In a couple of weeks, I’ll send you a CSAF Vector for 2013. In it, I’ll let you know where I think we’re headed in some key areas and also lay out a few things I think I owe you over the next year. Things like what the AF values for promotion (hint--the list starts with Job Performance!); my thoughts on performance reports and any required adjustments; etc." AADs masked for Major's boards? Rated and Non-Rated promotions separated? Rooting for Welsh to un-fuck this organization...

  4. This is why we need tougher airplane control laws. Why was that guy allowed to own a "double-engine" airplane, in the first place? Everyone knows one engine is enough to sustain flight. If that guy had not owned that airplane that kid could not have used it legally. Enough is enough, we have to stop airplane violence.
