If Christie is the GOP nominee in '16 than I am finding another party to vote for. There are so many better candidates, Ted Cruz or Rand Paul are two that come to mind...5 points

In no way, shape, or form do I like the current CINC, or his administration, but this is so beyond stupid. It's crap like this that makes the GOP look like they're searching for any reason to belittle the President, thus hurting their own cause. There could be any number of reasons for the way people were in there. Pure speculation that hits no nail or even the board the nail was going in to. Talk about pandering to crazy old white men... Keep this crap up, and you might as well hand the dems a third term in the WH. ETA: there's about a thousand legit reasons to critique the guy. Why go after a made up one? I don't care where Obama was during the bin laden raid, I'm still going to vote for him in 2016.4 points

Surprises or Wonders Never Cease... About a month ago, my wife surprised the absolute sh1t out of me by saying she wanted to get her CCW. This is after some years of practically calling me paranoid or a freudian gun nut for carrying, collecting, and shooting. So, who am I to argue? Set her up with a state-mandated CCW class which she took today. From what she described it was very much like the lowest-common denominator class that I took with another place when I got mine in Nebraska last year. Academics, test, basic qual on the range (essentially able to pull the trigger and make a hole appear on the paper target...) But, to add to this turn of events was her choice of handguns. We went shooting/shopping/trying different ones on Friday. From .22LR, .380, 9mm, we went through numerous guns trying to find what she liked and would actually shoot and carry. Naturally, my challenge was/is to not overwhelm with advice or even talking (since I'm only the husband), but eventually she came to the realization of a snub-nosed revolver due to ease of manual of arms. She did listen when I encouraged something larger than the .22 which she liked because of the no recoil. Being retired USAF, she had shot the Beretta M9 but hated it. Too big/heavy, too intimidating in the mass class that Big Blue runs, etc, etc, etc. And she went with a .38 special. I am not unhappy. So, I will be welcoming a S&W Model 642 Airweight into the family by next weekend after doing the on-line purchase and FFL transfer dance. Range report to follow.2 points

They have the right to assembly on a public sidewalk. They offered to relocate and were told to go home. If 2 people with signs were really a traffic hazard, don't you think 6 police cars only exacerbated the supposed hazard? And labeling behavior "SOP" doesn't make it right. Do you really think that is an appropriate way for cops to deal with citizens? And what law did they break?1 point

Okay, here's my final volley, then I'll surrender to overpowering stubbornness to not read what is actually written. Not you specifically, you as in everyone who reads only what they want to see in order to have a super snappy comeback. He does enough crap worthy of legitimate criticism on his own. Don't go searching BS reasons that only make you look like a bitter old white guy that's mad because a "colored fella got voted in." If people only focused on the real screw-ups, it wouldn't be so easy for the media to dismiss them. Instead, the crap people, like Beck, throw out there makes it easy for the left to say, "aw, it's just another right wing attack in a poor attempt to pick the pres apart." Okay, I'm done. Feel free to have the final word and "win" the Internet argument. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD1 point

These people are just idiots. All they had to do was clear the overpass b/c they were causing a traffic hazard to other people and nothing would have happened but instead they decided to push their limits with the police and were arrested for it. As for the throat choke takedown at the end, he was refusing to cooperate and that is a standard takedown when the police are dealing with a person refusing to cooperate. I am agree with the police in this aspect and I would hope nothing comes from this.1 point

Christie is DOA at the national level because of his demonstrated lack of support for RKBA. These latest bills he vetoed does absolutely nothing to change his long track record, which will be a big problem for him in actual red states.1 point

Might as well get it in .357. She can still carry .38 to start, but it's "upgrade able" bullet-wise in the future for free1 point

Hopefully somebody took note of everyone in the audience who laughed at the offensive jokes. Because one day it's jokes, the next day it's rape. Sent from my KFTT using Tapatalk HD1 point

Live in Fairfield/Vacaville if you don't like nightlife, or you're a sober, responsible, and boring 23 year old who loves that his neighbors are ALL members of the extended Air Force family. Vallejo/Suisun if having bars on your windows helps you sleep at night. (Go anywhere else) Live in Davis if you regret having graduated college so soon. Cool place, but the scene gets old. Fast. Live in SAC if you want quiet in the week and a decent party on the weekend. Closer to the snow, and lots of outdoor activities nearby. Same for Walnut Creek, but much closer to all the to-dos of the Bay area. Live in SF when it dawns on you that gorgeous women come here from all over the world!!! Easy pickings, especially if you're straight, not-a-hipster, and you don't regale everyone with your pilot training anecdotes. Different vibes in every district, and no matter your tastes there's a place here you can call home. For the sober moments the culture is amazing, the sights are unbelievable, and the chances of you ever living in as cosmopolitan of a city as this (with no responsibilities) are slim-to-none. If that doesn't sound good to you, or if you're really itching to get through that long netflix/hulu queue... Enjoy Fairfield/Vacaville.1 point

just got back from a month-long vacation flying Space A (mostly)...a few tidbits for those looking to do it in the future... - As others have said, sign up for SMS. Seriously. The comm between TACC/the crew/the pax terminal is lacking, and it saved my ass a couple times. - As soon as you get leave, send a shotgun email to every pax terminal you can think of (google it for the list). The earlier, the better. - Get an AF lodging account to reserve rooms online; there were a couple instances where a phone call yielded no results but online did - Cross-check Pax terminal facebook pages and SMS, and set bingo dates. Your hotel/food/car costs may eventually exceed commercial air tickets. Good luck...you get what you pay for1 point

What a strange place we're in. The POC for processing bonuses is forced to take a work/pay cut. Odd.1 point

Whoa whoa whoa... who put this E-4 in for this. My little chart here says an E-4 can only be awarded a AFAM. I'll work an AFCM for you, but it's going to need a serious push note.1 point

So what medal do you award for playing Tic-Tac-Toe with a 80's supercomputer hell bent on launching a world ending nuke attack? Cheers ATIS1 point
