  1. The next question is, did he at least key the mic and say, "Lead, you're on fire." If not, then he broke the second rule, too. God help him if he didn't take the fat chick, either.

  2. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-24823846 Saudi Arabia saying they are ready and could buy nukes from Pakistan to counter an Iranian threat. With such a successful leading from behind policy in the Middle East, I do not understand why they would be worried.

  3. The problem wasn't with the messaging, the problem is with the piece of crap, over-reaching legislation that was passed 100% on a party line vote. The Dems barely got it through, and that was with having to lie about what it would do...if they had told the truth then it very well might have not gotten through the way it did, or even at all. And if you think Obamacare is just going to negatively affect 4-5% of people then you're just as wrong as you were 4 years ago when you bought into all the other lies. Rates are going to continue to rise because of what the law has deemed plans must cover...and when the employee mandate kicks in next year, you'll see the next wave of shit hitting the fan. I can't understand why people believed that this bill was going to reduce costs for most people--it covers more in the new mandated plans and gives subsidies to people who don't make enough money. So either other people's premiums must go up, employers must pay more, and/or taxes must go up. The Dems didn't reduce any costs, they just shifted who pays for these costs. The insurance companies will make more money because it's more business for them, but at an increased cost in premiums and higher deductibles for the people. Part of me thinks this will blow up so bad that the Dems will pay severely for it...but the other part of me thinks that they will spin it in such a way to blame the GOP, the insurance companies, etc and will take very little of a hit (if at all) because the American public is too stupid enough to see what is going on here. It's just another several nails into the coffin of the Republic.

  5. All the talk about what's appropriate for the "workplace" highlight, for me, the true trajectory of the Air Force specifically and perhaps the military in general: today's military man is just working in another corporate job. It seems to me that the most resistance to the elimination of heritage, nose art, dirty song traditions, etc come from those who are most involved with the business of killing (the modern fighter pilot, and sarcasm that RPA guy with 1,000 kills /sarcasm). Most Air Force functions can be contracted to civilians, but the actual killing has to stay in house. These communities are understandably upset that they're being forced into a corporate business mold of behavior. I personally didn't want anything to do with the fighter traditions, so I joined a different community. Also I sucked flying the Tweet. I also agree with Liquid in that sexual assault and harassment have no place in the military where we uphold a more stringent code of honor than the rest of the country. But the Air Force is clearly moving toward a more blended type of corporate identity, one that sets aside a month out of the year to honor the homosexual lifestyle, so don't be surprised when the notion of giving your life for your "wingman" goes away.

  6. I personally don't have a problem with this. If you read the article they are actually targeting the demographic (first-term Airmen) where the highest likelihood of this behavior is taking place.

  7. Bullshit. Your second sentence is baseless and without context. I told you to off for saying am a company man, try to jump higher and implying I am a cheerleader. Don't confuse professional disagreement, challenges and talking to your bosses about serious leadership issues with the anonymous and frequently whiskey influenced garbage dialogue on this blog. I get the broad generalizations about senior leadership, even when they are lacking specific details and context. I'm fine with being insulted by people who know me. You don't. Stick to the argument.

  8. I don't understand what's so damn hard about this. If a crewmember walks into the safety office and asks to see the results of a SIB, the FSO should bring it up on their computer, let the member read/watch/listen to EVERYTHING, remind them that it is privileged information, then let them get back to their job a little wiser than before. Nothing leaves the safety office, or gets uploaded to youtube, and no privileged info gets compromised. How fucking difficult is that? We are all professionals and we constantly complain about not being treated that way by our senior leaders whenever we're battling the latest nanny policy pushed out by big blue. If my example above isn't happening, well, now we've managed to fail at treating EACH OTHER like professionals, too. We need to pull our collective heads out of our asses and fix this ASAP.

  9. Who are you to decide what I need to correctly ascertain the lesson? What if 7 day history is part of the problem? The system is terrible and doesn't work at all. TS is required for my job; somehow I'm professional enough to keep those secrets; why do you think I would go post on YouTube if I saw the recreation?

  10. Take pics, put in a file and if you get passed over/career not where you want it, scream harassment and blame it on fighter culture racism.

  11. Ok- just to clear the air, AGAIN, I am not a fan of Obama. Yes I defend him when absolute bullshit is thrown his way. He has enough bad policies out there that there's no need to make shit up- which happens a lot. I appear to be an ardent supporter of him on this forum because most everyone on here is so far anti-obama that anyone who calls BS on BS gets labeled a supporter. And because I don't dogpile on with everyone else on every little thread that has to do with him. So if you want to know my actual view on a particular subject- ask me. I'd be more than willing to give you an answer.
