IMHO Automation should be introduced briefly in UPT and be formally taught during IQT of the MWS and seasoning at the first assignment. It's a short year to learn the basics- building a solid foundation of hand flying and a strong ability to interpret raw instrumentation should be the primary objective of the UPT cadre.2 points

Based on what? That was his stated day one agenda. Your original assertion is still invalid. The woman had two candidates to choose from - one clearly in favor of the ACA, and one clearly against. Romneycare (which was not passed as written) is not relevant to the hypothetical of what Romney would've done.1 point

Close, but not exactly. After the Challenger disaster NASA was looking for shuttle launch pictures from another view aspect. When they started flying again, we loaded up a U-2 with a camera (the old "H" cam) and flew over the Cape at about 70K when they launched. The objective was to get high res pictures of the shuttle/booster interaction from above. I still have a blowup of one of the shots in my basement. Fun sortie!1 point

False. The AC platforms are models of CRM, and although the CSO's may play a larger role than some airframes, the Aircraft Commander still hold the "A" code for a reason. Anyone that tells you any different is trying to sell you a load of goods. P. S. It is not good policy to talk out your ass about things you don't know about.1 point

I like that my hours are mostly my hours, not George's hours. I got into this pilot business because I really like controlling the plane with the hands and feet. Even when doing long-haul, I encourage everyone hand fly up to cruise and on the way back down. Out1 point

Easy dude, most of us were forced to be here. Anyone who tries to stay in manned aircraft and then bitches about the job needs to check themselves. Most of us would love to be back out there, but this is what we've been told to do.
