Nah, AFPC would have showed up a week late and missed the concert.

It's been covered before, but there is a big difference between TIB and the Air Force band. The Air Force band exists because military bands have existed for thousands of years and are necessary for ceremonial purposes and formal functions. They are all excellent musicians and do a great job IMHO. TIB on the other hand is a cluster of counter-productive jazz-handing sissies that contribute nothing to our service. Also, EAA chapter 79 also has a large KC-135 model, in Fairchild colors, with the boom deployed hanging in the "lounge". Tyler, and the whole crew, will be missed.

I got the assignment-even though my circumstances fell under the "normally not approved" portion of their guidance. However, a free trip out of the northern tier 3 years early was on the line; and one does not pass up that kind of opportunity. The blindfolded monkey throwing darts at afpc worked in my favor...I wonder if it's the same one that's working on the VSP apps.

Small sense of entitlement.
