  2. Paid ~2K for mine about 2 years ago. You dudes need to cut out the middleman and deal with Breitling directly like everyone else does. That jeweler is ripping you off.

  5. Wait, what? All of them are of limited value since it is an evaluation over a short period of time. C-130 FTU is for example is 4-6 months long...why should a DG there catapult you to the top of the heap versus a guy out hacking the mission everyday. Primary duty performance is evaluated 24/7, 365 through your OPR. Eliminating all DGs would take out short periods of performance "surge" graded against only those in your class versus the larger pool of CGOs in your unit. Why not eliminate them all and only allow duty performance evaluation by your supervisor, Sq/CC and Wg/CC documented through your OPR? Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!

  6. What kills me is the fact that PYB's entire site is dedicated to harassing Tony Carr. Tony Carr, a retired family man, studying at Harvard, who hosts a blog which he has admitted is primarily a vehicle with which to hone his writing and argumentative skills. The secondary effects of his writings have rallied a good number of folks who care about the state of the Air Force to comment thus furthering his primary cause. This whole thing resembles a 4th grade playground rivalry that has lingered on for a few decades too long in the small mind of this PYB character. In any case, it makes for good reading on BODN. I look forward to M2 reposting the post statistics chart to include October.

  7. I don't think anyone is saying that all non bag-wearers are "shoe cerks." There are some kick ass nonners and some big shoe pilots out there...

  8. Really? You wan't to judge workload and responsibility by OPR bullets? There are exaggerations, lies, damn lies, exaggerated damn lies and if you keep going a ways you'll get to OPR bullets. Led 50 troops in intense combat environment = put together shoeclerk sports day. Worked with multi billion dollar asset = stocked snack bar for satellite technicians Top junior officer in my sq = only officer in sq Etc etc etc Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!

  9. I actually started this off by wondering what we could do to fix the problems on Baseops.net. Now I see the solution is simple! Another classic thread of running a deranged internet nut job out of town on a rail. Well done, Gents. I declare Baseops officially fixed. We are a team of gnarly, nasty, Tobbacco chewing, women lovin Air Force fly boys who love having a place to vent, a place to not be politically correct, and a place to give advice. A place to remember the force Hap Arnold worked so hard to build, and attempt to keep it going in the right direction. We have always tried to do that here and we continue to do so. Carry on!

  11. I do truly look forward to PYBs annual unmasking & eventual frothing-at-the-mouth shit hemmorhages. There isn't enough popcorn in the world. My wife just asked me what I was so intently reading & I didn't even know where to start. "Well honey, there's this guy who is in the Air Force by day, but at night he gets in his armored Mitsubishi Eclipse and combats imaginary Constitutional slights & talks to himself online a lot. He's basically a schizophrenic batman."

  12. Wow- I can't believe I'm going to say this, but imo the moderation here has gotten BETTER than in years past. At least from my perspective. I think the mods know they weren't correct when they changed people's posts, etc. If someone feels they were chased off then that's on them for not sticking up. Hell I've had multiple attempts of someone(s) try to chase me out of here, but guess what... I'm still here making people roll their eyes. Because I believe when a mod crosses a line, the other mods hold that person accountable. That said I do have warnings that are over 5 years old now, but whatever. Has the content been a bit stale lately? Sure. But maybe that's because that's what these "new Air Force" users are bringing to the table. Don't like the content? Then post the shit you do like, or don't and keep bitching about it. I can agree that you should need to be a registered user here to view the info, but requiring a .mil address:? GTFO.

  13. I just lurk here but I like JQPublic's content enough that I just subscribed to his Facebook feed and get my fix that way. Just because JQP is getting many direct referrals from here doesn't mean we aren't getting his message. Just my 2c

  14. I don't know if it's just our squadron that does it but we walk out the door home station in MC flight suits...so no...you couldn't do that. We've also got about 5 policy letters from the CC's at KAF about proper wear of the MC flight suit hanging around. I'll try to get a digital copy and post it.
