  1. Well getting off my ass and finishing my lightweight built. I'd say I am 80% done now, just missing a lightweight BCG, lightweight buffer, gas tube, gas block, and pinning the muzzle device. I'll gain .8 oz with the V7 gas block and maybe .1 oz with the tube but then plan to lose a bunch with a high end BCG. The barrel and hand guard are not torqued down. I only put them on hand tight to check and make sure everything fits. So that's why there is an egregious hole between the upper and handguard. For reference, an unloaded milspec M-4 weights 6.36 lbs.

  2. What if you get pregnant? I have a better idea, delete the useless job altogether. We've all been there and seen or played the wasted job and know what it looks like. Delete! There, now give me my 10% of the savings so i can retire a multi millionaire. Out

  3. Well, my personal opinion was already pretty low, so... No change here.

  4. Be careful what you wish for. Alot uf us were excited about Norton Schwartz because he represented a break with the fighter mafia ... I'm happy with good leadership and am mostly indifferent to AFSC.

  5. Agreed. As someone who could have applied to VSP last year and turned down the bonus this year to separate, I did my part to let them know it's not about the money or size of the bonus. I did find interesting all the questions regarding the 15 year pilot training commitment. Personally, I think it's BS, but I probably would have signed it in ROTC not knowing what I know now.

  6. Not sure if I'm following your question, but it's kind of like your company commander turning to you and saying: "Buck up, Soldier. It will work this time, I'm sure of it!" ...oh, and he's telling you that while you're getting off the boat at Gallipoli.

  8. So to summarize...you're a cadet and you have not yet been to field training, yet you feel confident enough in your vast experience to comment on what it takes to succeed at field training, the purpose of field training, how to prepare appropriately for field training, the appropriate length of field training, who should apply to field training, the true purpose of the GMC program, and what constitutes a "high stress" environment. Did I miss anything?
