Not BS. I remember hearing that story when I came through the C130 FTU. In fact, I'm pretty sure that tail is on static display at little rock. Front gate maybe?

Worked at a MRO that did a PDM on one of their C-130's, it was it amazing that it made across the Pacific with one working altimeter and a hand held GPS plus feathering a engine for high EGT and just using it for takeoff. They loved what they got back but hated what we charged them so it was a one and done. I can only wonder what the rest of the fleet was like.

Has anyone put together a C130J design for a Bremont? I know someone was talking about it but I never saw that design or know if it got done

Well getting off my ass and finishing my lightweight built. I'd say I am 80% done now, just missing a lightweight BCG, lightweight buffer, gas tube, gas block, and pinning the muzzle device. I'll gain .8 oz with the V7 gas block and maybe .1 oz with the tube but then plan to lose a bunch with a high end BCG. The barrel and hand guard are not torqued down. I only put them on hand tight to check and make sure everything fits. So that's why there is an egregious hole between the upper and handguard. For reference, an unloaded milspec M-4 weights 6.36 lbs.

How you guys keep talking about Cobra Kai without Karate Kid references is beyond me.
