  1. Call China, this is normal ops for them.

  2. That is the last thing I expected him to say. It's nice to see the pre-2008 Chris Matthews return, even if only for a minute. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

  3. The Air Force just needs to come to grips with the fact that our adversary's can develop sensors capable of detecting just about anything that has mass, emits electrons, reflects visible light, or has an IR signature faster than we can weaponize systems that are invisible to their sensors. A fighter aircraft based arms race may not be the best defense strategy for the pacific, but ACC and the people holding the purse strings will never accept that answer. Maybe just maybe we need to look at ways other than fighters to kick the door down before conducting full scale air operations. We overplayed the stealth card these last few decades and China and Russia are fully prepared to counter that threat so now we need a new ace up our sleeve.

  4. Been awhile since I posted, enough my account was deactivated apparently. I'll start off with my .02 on this place. I've been out here for almost 2 years now, 7th PCS, prior E married with kids, with the U28s. It's definitely not where I'll call home forever but it's tolerable for a tour. Having said that: 1) I live in Portales and don't enter Clovis unless need drives me. I live on the south side of town and my commute is usually 25 min. From what I can tell the commute is comparable from the much sought after NE quadrant of Clovis. 2) Portales has ENMU, and 2 clubs. One is more college oriented and the other is more western oriented and has a package store. There's a local grocery and an Ace hardware. There's a microbrewery and another in the works 3 storefronts down in addition to the smattering of locally owned restaurants . I understand 90% of your bros live in Clovis which will not be conducive for after work house parties, but Portales to me seems like it has a bit more diversity due to ENMU with its international program. 3) The house gouging situation is the same. I'm sure there's crime here, but I've never seen it or been a victim of it. There aren't multiple schools to choose from down here. System seems fine, but I know some people are picky as hell. 4) Housing on base is expanding rapidly. Most of the new stuff is still under construction. Consider that when buying in the community with the intent to sell. 5) Yes, you need to plan your day if you choose to leave the local area. This is what I call a 'get shit done' base. There's not many distractions if you have some PME or a hobby you want to take on seriously. Not many professional opportunities for the spouses though.

  6. DOD: "Stitch, can we pay you $6.9 billion dollars to be the middle man who brokers this deal? Also, it's cool if post-contract signing you fuck us over and require millions more to fix a contract breach you're 100% responsible for. Also, have you by chance seen the S&M Man, we're kind of into that sort of thing."

  7. I have no problem with the U.S. taking in 10,000 Syrian refugees but there's a catch. They must all be single, breeding age females, 18 to 30 years old, no FGM modifications, and if their hot then they move to the front of the line. Note; This would probably piss off the Muslim world because they would consider it discriminatory since the Islamic Standard for breeding age females is 8 to "unknown for upper age limit". The vetting process would look something like this; Here's a few approved "Syria-Sly" hot refugees. https://dailycaller.com/2015/11/18/13-syrian-refugees-wed-take-immediately-photos/
