  1. 8 years of being called a racist because I wasn't a fan of all of Obama's policies. 8 years of being called an Islamophobe. 8 years of the POTUS lecturing me on how to be a good Christian. 8 years of being called a homophobe. The last 2 years of being called misogynistic because I didn't like Hillary. Being called "privileged" because I have a good job and can support my family without anyone knowing how hard I've had to work to get where I am. i didn't vote for Trump or Hillary, but I'm a satisfied man today.

  3. Whoever he is, he's probably full of shit. I've been through border patrol internal checkpoints about 50 times and never been asked to show ID. I get asked "Are you a US citizen?" and reply "Yes." Then I'm on my way. I offered my ID the first time and they didn't want to see it. I'd like to see this sort of thing go away. So I comply with the law and support political candidates who want to change it. This "AM I BEING DETAINED?!" nonsense helps no-one and solves nothing.

  4. You can tell how racist all these liberals are... all of them promising to move to Canada. Not one of them promising to move to Mexico. What privilege they have to lie about moving to a country that is 90% white while being closer to another country full of Hispanics. They are dog-whistling racist messages, or something. i think I need to go back to college diversity class or maybe watch some more AFN commercials to regain my grasp on this racism and privilege talk. I'm rusty.

  5. Mr. Trump as president: Good or bad, we don't know yet (like any new president). Secretary Clinton permanently out of politics: We KNOW this is a VERY GOOD THING. I'll call that a win so far. I'd personally like to see an indictment against HRC on 21 January by our new Attorney General (supposedly Mayor Giuliani). I doubt we will see it. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums

  7. All I know is that in an evil sort of way, I'd love to see Trump say "Hillary, you're fired" during his inauguration speech.

  8. I suspect we'll see a Proclamation 4311-type announcement from Mr. Obama before he departs Pennsylvania Avenue. Inasmuch as I would love to see Hillary held accountable for mishandling classified information, I doubt it will happen. It's a small sacrifice, but as long as we don't have to endure "Madam President" for the next four years (or longer), it's one I'd happily make. She is done politically, Obama's "legacy" will be greatly diminished (plus, Trump gets to blame him for all the nation's problems for the next four years, isn't that the protocol?), the GOP has to figure out how to unfuck itself after this major message from the people, the Democrats are going to be hard-pressed to recover from this (although they didn't lose the House and Senate by that much), and most of all, people are no longer swallowing the media bullshit that's been crammed down their throats over the past few months/years. All that's left is to cue The Who...

  9. To all the celebs who said they'd leave America if Trump won... and especially Ruth Bader Ginsberg who said she would go to New Zealand... please keep your promise. I'll gladly take hard working Latino immigrants and well-vetted Syrian Christians to take your place.

  10. When MSNBC announced Trump's win in Iowa, there was an audible grunt from Rachel Madow. By the sound of it, she apparently sat on her sack wrong. Happens to the best of us.

  15. I'm all about DT making liberals cry, but it's tough to equate that with burning down terrorists. That said, now we can do both!

  17. Watching all my ultra left college friends on Facebook heads explode has been somewhat enjoyable. It's like karma finally decided to hit them in the mouth for the months on end of smug and conceited dictation they've been doing to everybody about how racist/sexist/unintelligent they are for supporting anyone they didn't. 18. What I normally hear is that no one today gives a shit and doesn't provide mentoring to junior officers. That seems to be what I initially thought you were saying... However, what I think I hear you saying is that you only want to be mentored on those things that you ask about. Never mind any blind spots that you may have or any other wisdom someone may be able to share with you. Here's some more unsolicited advice, aka mentoring. If you don't want advice, don't ask. True mentoring provides the good, the bad and the ugly. Obviously a conversation is better than an anonymous post on the interwebs, where there is too much opportunity for misunderstanding. 20. Sounds like any normal office job. You want to be home more but you go to the airlines. You don't want to be an ART or AGR because you can make more money at an airline. Nothing makes you guys happy. That's the thing you don't seem to understand. If I were at an airline with 18 days off a month, I would be home more. I don't count the time I'm sleeping in my own bed as being home, because I get home from my office job at 1800 every night, go to bed at 2200 and I'm up at 0500 to do it all over again. I get about 4 hrs each night to spend with the family, do whatever household chores I need to do and go right back to it the next day. With the airlines, when you're not flying, you're off for 3 or 4 days straight. I have a few buds who sit reserve with Brand X and work anywhere from 0 to 8 days a month.
