  1. Good on you brother. Admitting it is the first step to recovery or so I hear. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums

  2. Irrelevant. The President can issue a preemptive blanket pardon which bars future prosecution for crimes previously committed, alleged or otherwise. Like I said, precedence has already been set, ref Ford/Nixon. There were no charges pending and no prosecution underway when Ford signed off on Nixon's pardon.

  3. The rest of the story; Yep, the top dog (Nixon) received a pardon but this act of clemency didn't flow down the chain of command. In typical fashion, most of the Watergate co-conspirators/worker bees were hung out to dry without any hope of a pardon. The Watergate 7 (none received a pardon); four of the seven were convicted, fined, and did jail time. One had charges dropped prior to trial, one had his conviction overturned on appeal, and one was acquitted at trial. Here's a few more that didn't receive a pardon for their Watergate involvement; These three were convicted and did jail time; Jeb Magruder, Dwight Chapin, and Ed Reinecke. Note; If history repeats itself then Hillary's staff may meet the same end.

  4. Losing the WH is just the tip of the iceberg for the Democratic Party. In 2009, Dems controlled the WH, the Senate, the House, 27 state legislatures, and 28 governorships. Since then, they have lost the WH, the Senate, the House, and now control only 12 state legislatures and 13 governorships. The Democratic message of the today doesn't resonate anywhere in America, outside of major cities and college campuses. They have been lost in their world. They have focused on things like transgender bathrooms, race-baiting, cop-hating, and fretting over ocean levels. Meanwhile, back in the real world, folks are trying to figure out how to get by with lower wages, higher food costs, skyrocketing healthcare costs, and a government that doesn't notice or care about them. The only time they hear from a Democratic politician, they are told they are racist, sexist, homophobic, bigoted deplorables. Dems have only themselves to blame for their electoral decimation. Obama came into office with more political capital and goodwill than any POTUS in modern history. He and the Dems chose to spend it on an unpopular and failing healthcare plan, enflaming racial tensions and divide, and of course transgender bathrooms. The funny thing is they have no clue how out of touch they are.

  5. I still think the only reason I did so well in college is because I knew if my dad said "How's school going?!" and I said something to the effect of "Bro C's get degrees, don't worry they won't drop my full ride until my cumulative GPA is below a 3.5" he would break the land speed record, drag me to the middle of a 'safe-space', and beat my ass senseless in front of the "we don't spank our children" crowd during parent weekend...

  6. I went though survival school 100 years ago and we had a Lt Col flyer in our class...he had just returned to fly from a staff tour and was about to take command...curing the "audit" they discovered his record did not reflect attending Survival School so they made him go back and do it again. He was MISERABLE and made each once of us promise we would make a hundred copies of the grad cert and mail one to everyone we knew for safe keeping.

  7. This is why the old ideology needs to change. The new retirement means people no longer care about getting to 20 as they can get some kind of retirement at the end of their commitment. So how many people would pop ninja smoke at the end of their commitment and move on? Probably enough that it will make a big impact to the force structure and leadership.

  9. Also on the short list for AG is US Representative Trey Gowdy. Whoooo boy...those in the Clinton circles should be feeling a bit worried, methinks.

  10. I'll be a data point. I would have gladly served until 20 as a Captain with a 1:1 dwell if I was actually flying. Instead, someone at AFPC decided I should go to drones because I was on the wrong VML. Now, instead of the Air Force getting another 10 years on their investment, I'll be a contractor in 3 weeks. Deuces.

  11. I blame their parents; they raised this lot. You get exactly what you tolerate. Where are the news stories about dads showing up at college campuses to violently apply boot leather to hindquarters?

  12. This is such a f.ucking embarrassment. Cry-ins with hot chocolate, play doh and coloring books...these are f.ucking college students. It's no wonder why we are a joke to the rest of the world https://www.rt.com/usa/366577-colleges-students-stress-exams/ Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums

  13. And there's your fucking problem right there. When this guy stands up to offer a simple solution, he is shot down in front of his mentors and peers. How the fuck do they expect to retain talent when this happens on a regular basis? As a FY14 VSP recipient, traditional Guardsman and airline pilot, I look forward to the upcoming MAF retention crisis. Leadership built this house of cards. I expect to watch it fall while sipping my coffee at FL380 enroute to Fort Lauderdale.

  14. If Trump really wanted to be clever and spiteful, he'd pardon her. That would tag her as a criminal while avoiding the media firestorm that would ensue from prosecuting her.

  17. It has been a while since I posted anything - but if you guys don't mind helping me out with a project I'm working on with some guys from the CAF. Help me out and feel free to complain and tell me to pound sand. I have 2217 days left on my commitment, I think you know where I stand. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/pilotshortage
