Losing the WH is just the tip of the iceberg for the Democratic Party. In 2009, Dems controlled the WH, the Senate, the House, 27 state legislatures, and 28 governorships. Since then, they have lost the WH, the Senate, the House, and now control only 12 state legislatures and 13 governorships. The Democratic message of the today doesn't resonate anywhere in America, outside of major cities and college campuses. They have been lost in their world. They have focused on things like transgender bathrooms, race-baiting, cop-hating, and fretting over ocean levels. Meanwhile, back in the real world, folks are trying to figure out how to get by with lower wages, higher food costs, skyrocketing healthcare costs, and a government that doesn't notice or care about them. The only time they hear from a Democratic politician, they are told they are racist, sexist, homophobic, bigoted deplorables. Dems have only themselves to blame for their electoral decimation. Obama came into office with more political capital and goodwill than any POTUS in modern history. He and the Dems chose to spend it on an unpopular and failing healthcare plan, enflaming racial tensions and divide, and of course transgender bathrooms. The funny thing is they have no clue how out of touch they are.2 points

Yep. Our leadership is disgustingly piss poor at adapting to the needs of the fight and could probably give 2 sh-ts about fuel use when we need to justify every jet community getting into the fight in order to build those school resumes and groom community leaders. But I'm just jaded. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums1 point

Logic and reason supported by data to argue for a LAAR therefore this will be ignored... https://warontherocks.com/2016/11/logistical-fratricide-the-cost-of-fast-jet-tacair-measured-in-purple-hearts/1 point

I heard from a 2-star that the USAF knows stop loss would be a catastrophe. Reasoning, they'd temporarily retain some pilots but overall it would cause more to leave in the long run. I highly doubt we see it. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums1 point

True words from a wise man. Convention wisdom says trump will fvck up at some point, but convention wisdom said HRC would be president. We now have to rewrite the playbook on convention wisdom which should include a chapter of trump grabbing the world by the pu$$y and winning big. I kid. Sorry liberal friends. I'll eat crow just like you in 2, 4 or 8 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Good thing my commitment is up in 2022! Did they have anything else interesting to say about this projected shortage, or was that it?1 point

But really, compared to current POTUS, Trump has actual job/work experience to draw from. I think Obama's total work record included 3 or 4 years as a community organizer and 3 years of his first Senate term. He had no business even being a Senator much less POTUS, as far as experience is concerned. Trump is a knucklehead with regard to his comments and presentation style where as Reagan was a god when it came to communicating. I hope Trump does a good job and doesn't drift back to the left where he was previously, but only time will tell. I hoped Obama would do a good job too, and look where that took us.1 point

History always repeats itself. The Northeast press and intelligentsia said the same thing about Abraham Lincoln. Pinkerton men had to get him to D.C. in disguise so southern sympathizer's would not assassinate him before he took the oath. He grew a beard. How many of you have been unfriended on social media because of your pro Trump support by liberal long time friends?1 point

I still think the only reason I did so well in college is because I knew if my dad said "How's school going?!" and I said something to the effect of "Bro C's get degrees, don't worry they won't drop my full ride until my cumulative GPA is below a 3.5" he would break the land speed record, drag me to the middle of a 'safe-space', and beat my ass senseless in front of the "we don't spank our children" crowd during parent weekend...1 point

I went though survival school 100 years ago and we had a Lt Col flyer in our class...he had just returned to fly from a staff tour and was about to take command...curing the "audit" they discovered his record did not reflect attending Survival School so they made him go back and do it again. He was MISERABLE and made each once of us promise we would make a hundred copies of the grad cert and mail one to everyone we knew for safe keeping.1 point

A pardon would help Trump as well, then he doesn't have to deal with it and the optics of a president going after the opponent would be terrible.1 point

There's plenty of good dudes who haven't deployed- luck and timing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Agree, but as in all things, timing also matters. I flew with a couple of dudes who never flew in combat up until 2012, in part, because they came from AK where their squadron only did PACOM rotations. Their lack of combat time was only exacerbated by then being assigned to the FTU. Sent from my iPad using Baseops Network Forums1 point

When a general says they are "accepting risk" for under training B coursers, what that really means is that line flight leads will be forced to "accept risk" as they get unfinished products on their wing here in the new future. The generals are accepting risk to their careers; the flight leads are accepting risk to their lives. Guess which risk the Generals are concerned about?1 point

And there's your fucking problem right there. When this guy stands up to offer a simple solution, he is shot down in front of his mentors and peers. How the fuck do they expect to retain talent when this happens on a regular basis? As a FY14 VSP recipient, traditional Guardsman and airline pilot, I look forward to the upcoming MAF retention crisis. Leadership built this house of cards. I expect to watch it fall while sipping my coffee at FL380 enroute to Fort Lauderdale.1 point

Well, to throw some good vibes Hillary's way... Nelson Mandela served 27 years in prison before he became President. But I put my outlook about the future of our President-elect right around "ignorantly optimistic"... And FVCK YES I'm happy Pence is the VP instead of Kaine due to the VP debate. If any of you missed it, it looked something like this:1 point
