  1. Cancelled my NFL Ticket today. ATT/Directv are granting waivers if you cite the player protest as a reason. The agent asked me why I wanted to cancel and I told him I was a veteran and opposed to the players protesting during the National Anthem, he actually replied "Sir we are not allowed to talk politics on the phone but WE AGREE WITH YOU, your NFL Ticket is cancelled and we are processing a refund, thank you for your service!"

  3. "In 2015, a police officer was 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black male than an unarmed black male was to be killed by a police officer. Black males have made up 42 percent of all cop-killers over the last decade, though they are only 6 percent of the population." https://www.city-journal.org/html/hard-data-hollow-protests-15458.html I promise you, if the left keeps up these straw man protests, The Donald gets 8 years. And what comes after him is going to make liberals dream of the days when Ted Cruz was their biggest fear. On the plus side, NFL started are about the worst possible role models for American youth, so I hope they keep it up long enough to really sink the NFL for good. They won't, of course. Kaepernick got very quiet as soon as his career seemed imperiled, the others will declare "mission accomplished" and stand when they see their sponsorship deals dry up.

  5. Just a voice vote...I’d guess this week—perhaps today or tomorrow—but probably not later than next week since the senate goes out of session for Columbus Day week.

  6. Fuck that, I'll watch hockey. Those guys stand for the national anthem and until recently most of them were Canadian. Plus, this way I still get to watch paid professionals get decleated (de-skated?) and square off like boxers from the early 1900s.

  8. Pretty much anything in the defense industry, they seem to value past mil experience the most. My company employs a ton of prior mil people in our defense sector. This is for a couple reasons, 1.)They understand how the military works and how to deal with them, doing business with a gov will make a civ (non prior) pull their hair out due to the fact that none of how the mil deals with things makes a lick of sense. 2.) Companies see 20 years as an officer essentially as 20 years com of leadership (management) experience, which is awesome when they are deciding a salary. 3.) 1 and 2 combined with technical knowledge is a huge benefit as well. Aircraft manufactures also like prior mil, I've even see some gigs where you can still fly occasionally while holding a management role.
