  1. The same Huffington Post which gave Hillary a 98% chance in winning the election? Oh ok...

  2. My latest acquisition, a Webley Mk I still in .455... I believe it has been re-arsenaled, but not updated to a Mk I* (a dovetailed hardened backplate installed and in some cases the hammer is replaced, essentially turning it into a Mk II). The Mk I was approved in 1890 and approximately 40,000 were made. The vast majority have been re-arsenaled. The holster, a 1943 Canadian canvas one for a Mk VI variant, was included. It's my fourth Webley. I have a 1918 Mk VI also in .455, and two Mk IVs in .38/200. Cheers! M2

  3. This thread has been extremely amusing. I'll throw my 2 cents in. Listen to what is being said here. Some of it you may agree with, some of it you may disagree with. But understand there is a lot of years of experience floating around on these forums. Grow some thicker skin and never miss an opportunity to STFU, whether it's here or in the squadron bar. You'd be surprised at the amount of good will you garner from just listening and not highlighting yourself. If you are going to rebut anything (and this goes for this forum and in life/your future flying career) be humble about it. Being an arrogant little $hit will get you no where, so work on your approach. Now when it comes to travelling, buy a vehicle and cruise the country. Hell if I could do it all over again I would have left 2-3 weeks early and gone camping all around the US on my to UPT. CA-MS is an awesome trip if done right. Take your time, avoid free ways and go see America, it's a big country with lots of amazing places and people in it. You can't take money to the grave, but you can enjoy the hell out of life while you're young. Also, good luck trying to pick up any girl, anywhere with some lame beater you got off the lemon lot.

  4. Can confirm, studying the AFOQT study guides (Barron’s/Peterson’s or AFPCs) for a week and absolutely hammering the 4 sections that matter can create a huge jump in scores. Pilot score went from 49 to 98, resulting in a PCSM of 99. Looks like AFOQT retake improvement drives higher scores than TBAS. Just hope it’s enough for the AD board!

  5. I can confirm it is happening in the reserves. Travis got 5 deployments and lost 6 dudes because of it who turned paperwork in...WP just got one as well.... Here's the even better thing about them...they are calling them "emergent" taskings which means they can drop them on wings/squadrons whenever they want.....Meaning the deployments don't even have to fall during the wing/squadrons deployment window....Makes life planning fantastic....Already heard multiple guys discussing dropping paperwork before hitting 20 yrs because of this....

  6. Not all that new, but like Evil said, it's not made it's way to Ops or MX yet. This is in the Guard...I've heard it's already made it to OPS in the AF Reserve. Yup, and they think they have a pilot shortage problem now! Just wait until they start telling guys they're going to take a $100k paycut to go build powerpoint slides/fight off being cheifed at the Deid. I'm guessing we'd lose ~25% (minimum) of the squadron over night, if this shit started.

  7. Here’s my answer by proxy to your 3 sentence challenge above: 1. I’m a pilot. 2. You’re not and want to be. 3. We’ve offered advice and you’ve argued about it’s merits so fuck you. That succinct enough?

  9. I'm okay with this. If you get to the point where you legitimately challenge Mardon's income, then we'll charge for advertising, but for now I'm happy to support the little guy.

  10. Hmm...I think I'll poke my head into the politics thread... LMAO that's enough, I'm leaving now.

  11. brick, I understand your anger, and I get your post, but ONLY in the context of why you voted for Trump. I was in the "wait and see" camp when Trump got elected, and was excited to see what he and the GOP would do with a unified house, senate, white house, and supreme court. I've been horrified by the last six months. I understand that you are a true believer, and that nothing I say (and nothing Trump does) is going to change your mind. Just please understand that there are people like me, who consider themselves conservative (think WSJ, not Breitbart), who believe that Trump's contempt for things like the rule of law concern me as much as anything that happened during the Obama era. He seems to believe that he is the King of America, and his consistently erratic behavior is not something I value in the person who controls our nuclear arsenal.
