Whatever Nav... I kid...I kid...😁 I've got no beef with WSO/CSOs getting extra compensation, I just don't think it's a very efficient use of funds that really help total force retention numbers. WSOs/CSOs are leaving for the Reserve/Guard, so they are still serving in some capacity. Pilots are leaving for the airlines, completely leaving the total force. As I mentioned at the end of my post you quoted, I think they AF should get rid of bonuses and increase flight pay or offer pro pay like doctors. The AF is offering chump change in bonus money. If you're offering chump change and trying to retain people on the cheap, it would be more efficient to just eliminate bonuses altogether and institute aircrew professional pay or just up the flight pay. Make flight pay at 10 years to $3K-4K for all aircrew or offer $2K-3K a month in pro pay at 10 years. It would send a solid message that aircrew are valued, that leadership is attempting to actually retain people, and not really cost the AF much more than they currently have allocated.3 points

Imagine if we had had a specialized school where the focus was on things like flying and teaching about mission sets and good flying habits were taught early in classes. We could call it the Air Force Academy or something.2 points

What’s worse? That TSA didn’t close them up correctly or the fact that he put his mother in checked luggage?2 points

I assumed you weren't being sarcastic, guess the tone was lost in translation. Excellent data on an old post!1 point

Because they'll learn bad habits that need to be broken in UPT. Even in UPT, IPs fight bad gouge and the occasional group of weak swimmers that chair fly together and make each other worse.1 point

Easy. Don’t join spouse. Sucks to be you but you both did sign up for the shitshow of the AF managing your combined living togetherness. Newsflash: most people in join spouse families don’t live together a lot.1 point

Group exec submits two CGO packages for the Group. Other squadrons submit one package per unit. Group gets called out by awards board personnel. Group exec is triggered by my email. Email is fired off by Group exec saying the Gp/CC ultimately determines the winner for each category of packages. He said, "It's not fair these individuals at the Group have not been considered for any awards for a year. They don't have a squadron." Why the hell are you wasting my time grading these packages if the Gp/CC can do whatever he wants? I got other crap I could be doing.1 point

You think they care about convenience of proletariat, or anything even approaching common sense? Much have you to learn, young padawan.1 point

Excess time on my hands...so cut and paste from the PSDM... Tier 9 bubbas... - AvB agreement of 3-years minimum which extends member to 22 YAS, 23 YAS, or 24 YAS; annual payments of $35,000 for Tier 1 community; $30,000 for Tier 3 community; or $28,000 for Tier 4 community - Aviators with greater than 21 YAS and less than or equal to 23 YAS at the time of contract signing may sign a new AvB contract that extends the aviator to 24 YAS. Aviators with greater than 23 YAS are not eligible for a new AvB contract in FY18 - In no case can contracts extend past 24 years YAS Cheers!1 point

Airline pilots should be able to carry a bazooka through security if they want...why the F does it matter? It's not like we don't immediately have access to a crash axe, ability to put everyone to sleep in flight, and the biggest weapon of all the airplane itself! Yet the Smurfs get all excited when they catch you with a big bottle of water or nail clippers. It's a bunch of barely functioning individuals who have been given the authority to be assholes all they want with no recourse, but watch out if you as much roll your eyes at them. I have lost count how many times I have seen them giving some mom holding her small child or elderly individual in a wheelchair the full monty. Meanwhile weapons (real weapons not nail clippers) still get through which I figure has something to do with them focusing on their social life with the other Smurfs as bags are going through the X-ray machine while they aren't even looking at the computer...1 point

I’ve never strapped into one of these VR contraptions, but so far, my experience has been that nothing replaces your ass in the seat of a real airplane.1 point

Stiff-arming ADSCs for MWS instructor is a clean kill. It's always been PIT (Tweet babies going to teach the T-6, or T-38 guys going to teach the T-1) that AFPC dicks people down with. I've successfully dodged ADSCs both for B-52 CFIC and WIC. Can't argue with you about spending time in Altus though.1 point

I don’t think IP qual in your MWS adds commitment. Whats the point of note 1b? Specifically says advanced flying training WILL NOT incur additional ADSC1 point
