I’ll answer your last question: because the GOP is not united. Some GOP senators / reps prefer to look cool by obstructing the President as opposed to working with him to move the agenda forward (I.e Flake, McCain, Collins). We call them RINOs, republican in name only. Oh and don’t forget the failure Mitt Romney and his desperate yet fact-less swing at the President. Political beliefs aside, establishment politicians on both sides are terrified of Trump because he is challenging the status quo. These establishment politicians have remained in power for so long that any changes in the status quo threaten their power and job security. Trump’s personal style/tweets/gaffes aside, at least he is an honest pragmatist.

I especially like the ANG’s approach of offering $35K to permanent AGRs, but only offering $15K to anyone else on full time orders. AGRs need to be retained, sure, but you’re going to convince a bunch of DSGs to take multi-year orders to be the exact same as a perm AGR for al intents and purposes, with $20K less? Yep, makes sense.

Yep. If TMO is the bottle neck, don't berate the airmen behind the counter. Just say "thank you for your time. I'd like to speak to the first officer in your chain of command". Works even better if you show up in ABUs/OCPs instead of a flight suit.
