I don’t think you can go wrong with either. My point of view as a biased career tanker guy: The KC-135 is truly from a different era when it comes to hand flying it. It’s 1950s vintage through-and-through, so you actually have to FLY THE AIRPLANE. Or it will fly you, I promise. Perhaps not the most exciting missions some days, but flying a 60 year old airplane that has trim tabs, cable flight controls, and a shitload of power takes skill and constant attention. Not much fancy automation, hydraulic flight controls, auto-trim and HUDs to make everyone look like a hero. Never boring to flying that jet.3 points

Florida is a terrible place for any man to get divorced. If you ever have to deal with child support good luck. 50/50 is going to difficult unless she is very agreeable to your airline schedule and you live in the same school district. Make sure you get joint legal so it makes it harder to take off with the kids. Don’t pay for her house, she can go to the bank and get her own mortgage. Doesnt sound like she makes too much so that might hurt you in child support. I pay $1000 for 1 and I know she’s just sitting back and waiting for me to hit my 1 year with the Airlines to recalculate, probably has the paychart as her iPhone home screen. As for visitation, there’s something called airline pilot possession order, I’ve read through it once and it was helpful but never had to use it. Better for you if your close location stays close to your kid,2 points

This, we should have stuck to blue thread like the BDU and ABU. Looks different, has some heritage, etc... but leave it on an OCP background.2 points

The unit commander can’t order a specific individual to undergo a ‘random’ test. If the commander has reason to suspect a service member is/has used drugs, the commander can order a test but the individual must be informed of his rights and why the test is being administered. What usually happens, the ‘random’ test is generated via a computer and the person in charge of the program doesn’t change any variables from the previous text. For your specific case, what likely happened was that when you were in a flight status your name popped up on a list and the administrator marked you unavailable due to flight schedule, etc. When you went DNIF that no longer applied.1 point

Yup. Or be an MC guy and do both. Edit - I know there's not much guard/reserve opportunity for that unless you like the rescue gig. My .02 Tac airlift > AAR (tanker or receiver)1 point

2. Day vis formation through the Ozarks, some NVG assaults and a combat offload got me hooked on the Herk when I was a butter bar. It can be a challenging mission some days but it’s not too demanding from your average joe. Tac airlift is usually a sideshow to the main war effort, but there are times when all of the stacks and orbits are closed and you feel like the only one in the AOR that night moving pallets and pax to some LZ. Also, you get to see a lot of the AOR up close. Most AF dudes haven’t been to a FOB, yet you are the Army’s lifeline to the outside. Or at least the ticket home. Advantages: variety, hand flying, low level, drops, random LZs Disadvantages: slow I don’t think you’ll find another mobility MDS that can offer a brand new copilot the amount of mission sets and variety that a Herk does.1 point

It’ll never happen, and this is why... Every student pilot starts off in an ejection seat aircraft, so every student pilot will continue to get regular flight suits and wear them at their first duty station. Plus, the fighter mafia runs the Air Force, so they will never let the one piece leave the normal rotation. It’s all about the supply chain. Ejection seat bubbas across the US military all need to wear one piece flight suits, which means they’ll always be in the supply system. They may become a little more difficult to procure at a helo or AFSOC base, but they’ll never ever go away. Mark my words, once they're authorized for ejection seat aircraft, we'll all be wearing them in due time. Scooter, I think they'll use your reasoning in reverse and say it's a cost savings issue and make bags go away. But it's just another move in the direction of everyone is the same.1 point

I think I would vote for just about ANYONE on the right to keep illegals, slavery reparations talk, and child voters to be non-issues.1 point

I think I know who your talking about. I used to work with that dude. Great pilot, could have been a wing commander, but lacked ethics. Heard he left his ART job as the DO to go FedEx when the investigation started, anticipating the shitcan was he?1 point

Pres T is good at flipping the script, the oppositions reponses are predictable at this point and show no signs of changing. Dumping the illegals in sanctuary cities is a good example, of course they fight it, those cities already vote democrat, no use for them there. I wonder if the illegals care they are being used or just OK with the promise of free shit, nothing like buying an election.1 point
