the track surface at COTA looked atrocious on TV. Hopefully they started the resurfacing effort about an hour after the F1 race ended... Hamilton's my boy, I think Ferrari are idiots with how the run their drivers and suck at strategy, I hope Albon does well at Red Bull, I feel sorry for Ricciardo and hope Renault make a good show next year, and WTF happened to Williams in the last few years? Oh, and I don't think Nico Rosberg is a great driver - he only won because of the superior Merc equipment and some unluckiness on Lewis' part. I also think Haas made a mistake in keeping Grosjean in a seat. He needs to go.

Some gouge for those selected, I was picked up on last years board for UPT and am sitting at Columbus still waiting to start. All the bases are backed up, so expect to chill on casual for a few months.

And my previous post related to the current outlook for the 2020 Presidential election is not denigrating one side. If I'm one side, I'm feeling pretty optimistic. If I'm on the other, perhaps not. Except for the comment about the undead Hillary. That was meant literally. I abhor censorship.

If the timeline is anything similar to what it was last year, we should begin to hear about IFS/MFS/UFT class dates starting tomorrow, in-line with the public release, at the earliest. All the assignments and TDYs have to be manually hand-jammed by AFPC, so we will probably start to see a slow trickle of dates/RIPs hitting our inboxes. Keep an eye on your 'Career Data Brief', under vMPF; it will list IFS/MFS under 'Projected Training' with a start and end date. Concerning class start dates, your unit's loss roster (controlled by the CSS) is the first place to indicate any pending assignment, even before CC advance notification or the auto-generated AFPC assignment e-mail.

Reminded me of a recent trip with a former Soviet fighter pilot. The commander showed up one day and told everyone "Go home and don't come back." They were shocked. "What do we do?" "Whatever you want." There's zero chance of that happening here. Just an interesting story about pilots who didn't expect it to happen.

Indeed, the only tiny bit of bipartisanship was against proceeding. John Dean, convicted felon and disbarred attorney again saying something is worse than Watergate (only in America can you make a career off that). Philosophical wondering of if Trump's 'crime' was seeking political dirt against a rival, then how can political rivals be allowed to sit in judgement in the Senate? Second wave of Democrat presidential candidates ashore, wading past the rhetorical bodies of Swallwell, O'Rourke, and whoever else quit thus far. Seems a defensive position. But they did have the threesome gal there for a bit, so some sexiness. And Hillary, who is still not President, squawking about running again. It just won't die...
