  1. Well that was one for the books. BG McGee honored, his 13 year old grandson wants to go to the academy and join the Space Force, 10 year old impoverished girl gets to pick her school, deployed family reunion, and stage 4 cancer patient Rush Limbaugh given the presidential medal of freedom. Of course there was a great deal of showmanship but last night Trump delivered a message of optimism and positivity for this country. The economic, foreign policy and military successes cannot be denied. On the other hand, you saw a career politician; that has run California into the ground, rip up the speech like a petulant child, and most of the rest of her colleagues sitting there pouting like children. It was a look of defeat. I even saw some Democrats, like AZ senator Simek, stand up and applaud only to be given the stink eye from Pelosi. I think it is safe to say we will see 4 more years of Trump.

  2. Bizarre double-down. I must have missed where he asked for advice from “ U2/United pilots who love name-dropping their astronaut buddies and humble-bragging their air show experience” in addition to folks from NK, JB, and F9. He must have edited that out at some point after your silly nitpicking. And yet, even after your holier-than-thou nitpicking, and all the inside knowledge you have from your single-digit seniority friends and friends in hiring, you didn’t offer any actual advice (other than the weird IATA thing). Enjoy your last word to follow. Whether you accept my feedback is of no ultimate consequence to me, but I certainly found the exchange insightful and mildly amusing. Cheers. SPAWNmaster: I’ll be transparent that the only real advice I can provide is to seek out this information on APC. Good luck, I think you’ll have no problem getting hired by any of the three you mentioned!

  3. Do you like anal? Not giving, but receiving. With no lube. And kind of like a hate screw kind of way. Not tenderly and sensual, but like a step below rape. But in all seriousness active duty is not all bad. Some of it was actually pretty fun and I met the best people that I could ever meet. But if I had the option of doing active duty are going to the air National Guard or reserves, I would pick the air National Guard or reserves any day. Being on a 12 year prison sentence and unable to say no or leave is about the worst feeling you can have. Especially if your family situation changes between now and then. You just never know what your life is going to be like 12 years down the road. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app

  6. Thought I’d give everyone a heads up. It sounds like the 107th at Selfridge will likely have a board in April with a meet and greet during our March drill (07/08 March 2020). Nothings 100% confirmed yet but I’ll keep you guys posted. I’ve heard this from the new OG, FS commander, and several others higher up in the chain of command. So get your applications ready! 7. A strange criticism. The guy asked for feedback from folks at three specific airlines- those who could provide said feedback would certainly know what their respective IATA code was. Critiquing him for asking for feedback on this website in the first place makes more sense. Probably not going to get much out of this place. Better off going to APC.

  10. Ya, there are some dudes doing some pretty drastic things just to fatten up their W2s. That said, many of the "strategies, gimmicks and premium flying" can often make you way more money while working the same, if not less...maybe not your bro-in-law money though lol. My "gimmick" has me working the same number of days (12), 2 fewer nights away from home (8) and makes me $4-6k/month more than if I just accepted my originally assigned schedule. Some months I don't feel like working as much, so I'll knock off one of those trips, work 3 fewer days and only take a $1,500 hit in pay from my originally assigned schedule. Some guys in my category go to the other extreme and instead of work 2 x 6-day trips (originally assigned schedule), will try to pick up additional trips and try to get as close to 100 hours as possible. Those dudes are working an additional 6 days and only making an additional $2-3k over my strategy. They will likely end up in an early grave. They won't employ my strategy of dropping my entire schedule and pickup up more efficient trips because they're too scared of coming up short. Better for me since they're usually senior to me.

  11. Sad cause it was only the honest truth being spoken there by the masses. Guess the Bobs didn’t like it.
