  1. Of course, I know what taciturnity means, but for those who don’t: - the state or quality of being reserved or reticent in conversation. - Scots Law. the relinquishing of a legal right through an unduly long delay, as by the silence of the creditor. So yeah, you know, being reticent dude. Totally. Which for the dummies out there means: - disposed to be silent or not to speak freely; reserved. - reluctant or restrained. So like when you’re disposed. Which means: - having a certain inclination or disposition; inclined (usually followed by to or an infinitive) Ok fuck I’m lost.

  2. MARSRADIO, ex-phone patch net, provides Official / Morale phone patches, radio checks and METAR / TAF information for DoD units. Operators of the net are volunteer. For those that may be flying tomorrow, 24 February (1500z - 1800z), I'm asking you to considering calling in on our net and wish Ray AFZ5RS a happy 99th birthday. Ray has dedicated his life to the military in one form or the other. He was a pilot in World War II and has been an active member of the MARS phone patch net since before the Vietnam War. We would like to left him know he is appreciated for his service. Here is a flyer about the "operation". If possible, post in your operations area for others to see. I cannot say enough about Ray, his dedication and his professionalism. Thanks, Richard Duncan Commander, 1st AFMARS Special Operations Group Air Force MARS. 16th Air Force 11AFMS AFZ5RS Birthday.pdf

  3. My wife was a stud there about a year ago. Hunt housing is the cancer center of the whole on base housing mold and failure to comply issues. The issue is, living in Del Rio is easily 20 minutes to the gate. Take that as you will. Plenty of people do live in town, but it can be a drive for some folks. Internet is fine, it is what it is. It's spectrum AFAIK and they just try and nickel and dime you for everything after awhile. So I worked in Del Rio and Uvalde before I went AD and lived there with my wife. Their HS is okay, a lot of my coworkers went there. It's not the best school system, but it's okay. The Bracketville ISD is where a lot of people apparently try to send their kids, but I don't know if they have a HS or not as they're a super small town. Feel free to shoot me anything else. I was there for ~6 months when I lived there.

  4. There’s a reason why Trident keeps coming up in a lot of this forum! After reading some of the reviews, I thought I’d submit an app to see what they could offer. Happy to say that it was worth it! I put in the request on a Sunday and had a text back that same day from Jon saying he’d lock me in at my requested rate, have everything set up the next day, and have his team reach out to me for additional details and loan tailoring. The team knocked out my IRRRL refi quickly and with ease, and got me a great 3.25% rate in CO. The whole process was super painless, and they even tracked down some documents on my behalf that I seemed to have misplaced. 6/5 stars — highly recommend!

  5. Apparently our finance was to busy to answer any one of the 4 or 5 numbers I called numerous times throughout the day, but out OG says the additional pay cards are still a thing. Could it be that local finance means they're not actually processing them and they mean you need to go through the CMS case process? Right now the process is that I input an AFTP into AROWS, then I send an e-mail to our ARMS NCOIC, and (ONLY on the 1st or 15th of the month) can he input a CMS case for each pay card. Then sometime in the next 3 or 4 months I get paid. Don't forget they'll fuck up the withholdings and you'll be taxed anywhere from 30-40%. But this is a non-issue "because you'll just get it back when you do your taxes..." Love me some free loans to uncle sam. I was paid out for all of mine last FY. Great waste of man hours but the only way to get paid these additional pay cards. This year, I plan on just doing all the additional AFTPs in one quarter and submitting them all at once. This seems to be about the least amount of ass pain for our ARMS guy. Reference above (plus another sad incident I found out about today)...I take back the nice things I said about finance.
