  1. You forgot vaccinated can’t get covid, won’t transmit it if they do get it, don’t have to wear masks, vaccines are way more effective than natural immunity, vaccines have a 97% efficacy, and last a long time. Those are up there with alien DNA.

  2. Using the weather example above, if a PIC says no to flying with 300 & 3/4 when the mins are 200 & 1/2, I’ll back up his decision and he doesn’t fly that day. I’d also recommend he lose his PIC designation and needs to go through requal.

  3. Its actually worse than that (hard to believe). Danchenko (Who has ties to Russian and did PR work for them previous to this), was used as a source and he himself fabricated information. He lied to the FBI (one of the reasons he was indited on five charges), about meetings, phone calls and a trip to Russia to get the "Pee tape"...that trip was a fabrication. In reality he was a pawn. Charles Dolan, A Clinton Advisor met with Danchecnko multiple times and fed him more false information knowing it was going into the dossier, that Hillary was paying for. They still needed a way to get the information to the FBI (and the press). Enter Fiona Hill, a member of the NSC. She is now linked to the Steele Dossier and bringing it to light. WORST OF ALL...The Democrats called her as a witness in the impeachment trial. If you are upset about January 6th (as am I), you should be equally OUTRAGED by what happened here. The Clinton Campaign and the NCS were knee deep in fake information that was used to impeach a sitting president and overturn an election. By the way, that's Charles Dolan in the picture with Biden. I used to laugh when people said the phrase "deep state", I am not laughing now. I can't believe anyone would think this is alright.

  5. Air Force pilot: I don’t feel comfortable flying a mission I was told to fly because I perceive risks that could possibly jeopardize my safety and it doesn’t matter that my leadership thinks it’s totally safe to go fly. Air Force pilot: I don’t feel comfortable getting a new vaccine that I was told to take because I perceive risks that could possibly jeopardize my safety and it doesn’t matter that my leadership thinks it’s totally safe to take. Either we trust our people to be able to make their own call when it comes to their safety and how it affects the mission or we don’t. Full disclosure—I think if you’re in the military and are ordered to get the covid shot then that’s part of the job, whether I personally like it or not, and if you refuse when the leadership thinks it’s safe, then there should be consequences. Likewise if you’re ordered to fly a mission you’re qualified to fly and you refuse, and leadership thinks it’s safe, then there should be adverse consequences.

  6. I agree, but I think the real tragedy is that, for the overwhelming majority of people, it's a perceived, not actual, dichotomy. The media want us to believe it has to be one or the other: Everyone who's outraged by Jan 6th are totally supportive of BLM riots. And everyone outraged by BLM riots are Trump cultists that are a-okay with Jan 6th. It's bull$hit. It's designed to make people pissed off and/or afraid, since those are the two emotions most easily exploited for viewership/ratings. In my experience, there's a LOT of common ground when regular people actually talk to each other. Much, much less so when they watch mainstream media and build corresponding echo chambers out of their phone. **The same faulty dualistic thinking applies to the candidates themselves. We're led to believe that if you support Trump, you must despise Biden. And vis versa. Totally false. You said you consider Biden a bumbling embarrassment. Totally agree. ...But I also think Trump was a bumbling embarrassment. Imagine if we had two decent, competent humans running. Hard for most Americans to picture at this point, but yes, it is also possible to genuinely like both candidates.

  7. Technique I heard at RTAG: A lot of them were using DoD Skills bridge to get employed at an FBO as a flight school instructor for 6 months. They were using this to pad some fixed wing time and hours. This may be harder with the new skills bridge rules but something to look into.

  8. "There are in fact two things, science and opinion; the former begets knowledge, the latter ignorance."Hippocrates, Law, 460-377 BCE There are new cases of new patterns, new vaccines and new statistics on them, changing daily sometimes. - There is not enough information for healthcare decisions. - There is not enough time for statistics. - New findings cannot instantly come to general vaccination. But restrictions and new rules come so quickly. Unfortunately, we are left with opinions, restrictions and tolls.

  10. "...professional men and women argue that the vaccines cause AIDS, that they contain alien DNA, that Pfizer is not actually approved, that the vaccines have directly caused tens of millions of deaths, that the “mainstream” media along with every world government have conspired in some sort of massive coverup, that there are thousands of tiny microchips in each vaccine dose, that it will magnetize you….." You threw in some crazy shite with a couple of reasonable thoughts/issues (1. pfizer vaccine not FDA approved - and - 2. conspiring to coverup all of the shenanigans surrounding covid root cause and the vaccines). pfizer's COMIRNATY,is now approved (as of Aug 21, 2021) but it wasn't official until recently. The lack of trust issue is valid and isn't a conspiracy issue at all. Who knows how deep and how widespread the lies spread. I don't believe such a wide spread conspiracy would work for long, but no doubt lots of people were covering their respective asses as well as lying to financially benefit themselves through all of this (and still are). My comment was about the actual crazy stuff ... causes aids, extra terrestrial dna, 10's of millions of deaths, etc. I haven't seen or heard anyone make those claims, here or elsewhere. 11. The back and forth here highlights one of the top problems in this country : the two party system. It’s always either-or, for or against, black and white (or in this case blue and red). It’s 2021, yet we decide the most important office in the world in a dichotomy. I don’t agree with a lot of what you said (Trump had a big mouth but to blame him for the 06 Jan riots is simplistic at best. There were thousands of peaceful protestors that day, a few idiots decided to take it too far…almost kind of like to Floyd protests, weird)..but I don’t blame you for feeling that way considering we are only given two choices. While I voted for Trump twice no question, and think Biden is a bumbling embarrassment, I don’t blame Biden voters. I blame this corrupt two party system that only serves itself. To that end, that is why I think Trump was so important to the average American, and to the same token - why I’m a big Tulsi fan.

  14. I like how they keep suggesting they might go after the operators in the future… Like any person in a cockpit or box is the one accepting and granting clearance of fires in this situation. Somebody with a Star gave the word to execute. If we want heads on a spike start with that one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. Mins in UPT (AETC) are ceiling and vis. Mins in ACC are ceiling and vis. Mins in AMC are vis only for straight ins (but most AMC pilots never figure that out and keep spewing this 200-1/2 bullshit). What are the mins to fly this approach in AMC? https://aeronav.faa.gov/d-tpp/2111/00150IL6.PDF

  16. Not flying related, but Air Force related... Command and Control will scare the shit out of you regarding nuclear weapons. He traces the USAF relationship with nukes from Hiroshima to modern times, interspersed with a minute-by-minute account of a Titan missile explosion just outside Damascus, Arkansas. Apparently our leadership valued reliability over safety so much that, at one point, they told the president it would be better to lose an American city to an accidental detonation than a weapon malfunction if we dropped them on Russia.

  17. I was one of the first in the USAF to get the vaccine. I primarily got it because I'm OCONUS and was hoping it would open up travel again. (Which it hasn't as much as I would have liked). Anyway, I am generally pro-vaccine, but could personally care less if other people get it. There decision to get or not get a vaccine has absolutely zero impact on my life or future. None what-so-ever. Zilch. Remember, more than 10X more AD personnel committed suicide last year than died of COVID. That is an eyebrow raise to me considering we still continue to downplay mental health importance in the DoD. But I guess we don't have a political party jamming suicide problems down our throat to make us care.

  20. 1. Decent men and women, typically dig their heels in when more and more coercive authoritarian measures are pushed harder and harder down their throats. It makes them question the motives of those doing the mandating. 2. mRNA tech has not been used in humans long term. 3. Natural immunity/previous infection has not been acknowledged in policy. 4. In my experience, there have been two reactions I get when talking about the vaccine: 1 : the agreeable person- often saying to me “yeah man those are good points” they proceed to live there life, not look into any concerning parts of the vaccine and go with the flow. and 2: then I talk to people who are like Prozac they call most contrary data or critical questions of the vaccine, misinformation or insane conspiracy theories. They cannot comprehend such a thing as valid dissent. 🤯And usually end up demeaning your points via ad hominem or moral superiority arguments. In my experience they also treat all vaccines the same because they are all vaccines! Humans like analogies! Cv19 vaxs are like seatbelt for your body that you can never take off😎 5. public officials like Fauci, have lied, not admitted they lied or said it was a noble lie. Smashing trust. 6. It doesn’t stop the transmission of the disease. 7. it doesn’t prevent you from getting the disease. 8. it was designed for the original wild type variant. Not delta. so ya my BS meter is pretty much pegged at 100. Id also love to hear about these insane theories. Sounds fun, are they turning the frogs gay again?

  21. i’ll kind of buy that. There are tons of possible applicants for rated yet Big blue handcuffs itself with dated requirements and in particular idiotic medical standards that they believe are necessary. There are tons if people who could do the rated job but can’t because of trivial hiccups. They do it to themselves. And i personally dont care about the AF eyes...i’m a big believer in finding something you love doing and you’ll never work another day in your life. If that comes at Big blues expensense so be it. I also believe if you align your workforce according to the above the organization will succeed.

  22. I don’t understand not wanting to release a 12 series due to manning. If someone doesn’t have the foresight to realize you’d have an aviator for 10 more years rather than just a couple more until their ADSC is up and they either go guard or get out altogether and try to go airlines on their own dime at that point, then they deserve the shortage.
