Why would you seek accommodation to remain part of an organization that is actively sanctioning and promoting use of something that spits in the face of god? Even if they accommodate your individual objections, they are pushing it on the masses that don't share your enlightenment, and that is the work of the devil. Seeking individual religious accommodation does nothing to redeem the organization that you would continue to be a part of. Seems you're pursuing exemption for the sake of money/safety/comfort at the expense of your righteousness. Wouldn't the righteous thing be to resign rather than seek accommodation? I'm sad that I'll never live to see it, but it gives me great comfort to know that religious delusion is gradually losing out to the true enlightenment of reason, and though it will never disappear altogether, my great-great-great grandchildren will live in a world where it is so utterly insignificant as to be meaningless. Praise god.3 points

Jesus, I don’t agree with those refusing the vaccine but good lord, I hope you aren’t in a position of command or power in the Air Force.2 points

At least the pilot retention problem will be offset by the massive increase in military readiness we will obtain, thanks to the vaccine mandate/purge along with mandatory mask wear.2 points
-
Right, except for the fact the vaccinated are less likely to be hospitalized. I’m gonna make a guess that if there are long term effects from the virus, they are going to present far more seriously in someone admitted to the hospital compared to someone who needed a bottle of NyQuil and a box of tissues to recover. Everyone’s getting covid. Even the vaccinated. So they’ll have both unknown long term risks to deal with.2 points

Yours truly flying #381 in 1979 (leading a verboten formation landing in today's AF), the aircraft shot down by Dorsey. I flew in the same Med exercise against the same carrier, Saratoga, but was intercepted by a Navy F-4 albeit 10 years earlier. The A&P that annuals my private plane was on the Saratoga the day the recce F-4 was shot down. Small world.2 points

They definitely have more career options than a senior major with zero TPIC who is barely a year removed from initial aircraft qualification. That decade of RPA experience doesn't buy you much in the private sector, and no ARC unit is going to touch someone who has been separated for vaccine refusal. Sucks that you're being separated with nothing to show for your time. Be careful where you throw those spears, a passed over nav is in a vastly better position with respect to career progression, both in the service and out, than you are about to be.1 point

No doubt. The pilot crisis and retention issues also bode really well for passed over navs and other terrible officers who had no shot at O-5 or leadership positions in the old AF. You really aren't reading, seeing, or hearing. Admittedly, I've unknowingly taken vaccines grown or developed with fetal stem cells derived from abortions (discussed in detail in my RA). I sure as hell didn't know it was in them or used in development. I've also grown in my knowledge, understanding, and commitment to my faith, and it won't be happening in my body every again. I still don't understand why that offends you so much or you act like people like me are a threat. I've flown in the same airspace, been in the stack, probably bumped into you somewhere stateside...I literally can't fathom the vitriol and fear you have, it's kind of sad. Approving an RA for me would be the same situation as we were in for the first 1.5 years of the COVID outbreak before we had vaccines. I still haven't caught COVID (verified by T cell and antibody tests), and my honest observation is the military did really well overall (the huge impacts I observed were due to ROM & precautionary quarantine). My opposition is to both fetal stem cell use and RNA/DNA....both or either are a no-go for me. Whether you agree or like it, RNA/DNA/viral vector technology is brand new (logically consistent that this is different) in humans and also brand new as in never been used or injected into my body. Your argument that people can't change, grow, or do better in any type of belief or practice is also false and stupid. I'm not arguing or disputing whether or not it works or if it is healthy (even if it cured death and prevented all sickness I wouldn't be touching it). I'm 100% convinced through prayer and study of scripture that the method for how this technology works is abhorrent and wrong before my God (reference Genesis chapters 6 & 11...topic being humanity thinking it can ignore and do better then their creator). Every one of us will stand before God the creator in judgement and accountability for what we do in this life...your feelings and opinion don't change that. Good luck chasing wealth/health/pleasure in this world and thinking you can live however you want without accountability; I truly hope people like you will wake up to the truth.1 point

Look man, your argument has all sorts of holes in it & things are not going to work out well for you. Your argument seems to be solely based on the novelty of mRNA vaccines. While I could point out that the process you described is similar to what traditional vaccines already do, or that it is not "gene therapy", or that pretty much every advance in medical history has been opposed by people with "religious convictions", I don't have to. You have the option to take the J&J vaccine, which is not an mRNA product. So I'm really having trouble understanding your objection.1 point

Careful with stats. Every year 4% of that demographic dies. And it's a mathematical certainty that there is significant overlap of the 4% and the 1%.1 point

Don't confuse "death" with "effect". You don't have to die to be rendered ineffective by Covid. Not to mention every base has a boatload of DoD civilians who ARE in the high-risk demographics.1 point

I addressed that in my RA with a whole page. The Religious Freedom Restoration Act and supreme court case Frazee v. Illinois clearly establish legally that there is no denominational or previous track record metric for establishing that someone has a sincerely held religious belief. Like alot of people, I had no idea that vaccines were routinely developed, researched, tested, and grown/produced using aborted fetal stem cells. I can't go back in time, just apply my beliefs now and in the future. I won't be taking any vaccines in the future involved with aborted fetal stem cells, but the RNA/DNA is also a no-go for me. I wouldn't say it is a "weak" argument. The real question for the air force is the whether or not the opportunity cost of approving my RA and keeping the leadership/aviation/mission benefit I have outweighs the benefit for health/readiness afforded by a 100% vaccination rate. We all know how it is going. I don't expect the DOD or AF to make a critical decision here when careers and perceptions are involved...the slim chance for a win will come in Federal courts or from congress. Hence...delay/degrade/deny as long as I can. Dude...people acting like you (and others on here) make it much easier for me to walk away and hold true to my own personal integrity and faith. This isn't just my loss, it's a mission capability and leadership loss. Fellow officers, pilots, Airmen, and American's are ripping each other apart as things decay around us. I may be in the 1% asking for an RA, but my personal observation is around 30-50% aren't happy with any of this. I've served pretty dam successfully and well as an officer and pilot for 13+ years now. Instead of anything substantial, you attack me to make me sound like a quaker or flat earth retard because of my faith. I would say no....all of modern medicine doesn't do this to you. Humans have never been injected with synthetic ribonucleic acid (RNA) before these COVID-19 vaccines....most modern medicines puts chemicals directly into your blood stream, they've never hijacked and replaced cellular protein production at the individual cell level (you don't seem to have even an elementary understanding of how it works comparing it to "modern medicine"). **Cue the "RNA" vaccines have been tested for 30 years, they are amazing!!! Guess you didn't read about ADE or all of the animals that died with the RNA vaccines they tested on animals only (the reason they never went to human trials).** And guess what, based on my secular health opinions and faith I (and my family) avoid pharmaceutical medical options unless they are the last/required option. We minimize x-rays, minimize processed food, and try to use hygiene/health products that are naturally derived without chemicals. Guess what....I've been a successful pilot and military aviator hacking the mish for 13 years even if you would rule me out for not being born with wings. I'd encourage you to review how ribosomes work with cellular protein production...you would see that no other modern medical process or product has ever messed with this or used synthetic RNA. That specifically is my objection. The cool part about the constitution and religious freedom is your opinion doesn't matter as long as my belief is sincere according to the law of the land. 100% bro...probably the first post I've agreed with you on and I appreciate the respectful comment. I considered MLCOA/MDCOA/threats heavily before going down this road, I'm aware of where it will likely lead. It's worth it for me.1 point

Whatever your religious objections are, you can’t honestly believe that fetal cell development is a reason that anyone chooses to have an abortion. Your religious beliefs also shouldn’t dictate ethics to a world where a majority of the population doesn’t share your religion. Abortion exists, it will never go away. Banning fetal cell research will not stop abortions, but it will hinder potentially life-saving research. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Honorable = Normal General Under Honorable Conditions = You had honorable service, but you fucked up in a severe way (e.g., guilty at a courts martial with no punitive discharge given). Other Than Honorable Discharge = Normally only given at a administrative discharge board where discharge is given, which for officers is known as a Board of Inquiry. Dismissal (officer version of a dishonorable) = Only given at a General Court Martial Note: Officers don’t receive Bad Conduct Discharges. For VA benefit purposes, the entire period of service is determined by the VA. For example, I got court martialed in 2017. My enlistment during that court martial started in 2013. I joined in 2001 and had multiple enlistments before then of “honorable” service before 2013. The VA gave me all benefits because of my multiple honorable enlistments due to my General Under Honorable discharge. I don’t know how they would do that with officers with periods of ADSCs? The only show stopper with VA benefits is getting a dismissal, which would prevent you from getting any VA benefits. The VA does their own determination of character of service if you were to get a General Under Honorable or in some extreme cases, an Other Than Honorable discharge. Two boom operator Chief friends of mine are retiring in the next few months and they got Art 15s as TSgts. My brother has one as well and he made TSgt pretty early. As an officer if they don’t kick you out after one, you’re probably not going to go anywhere, career wise, and they’re just waiting for you to separate on your own.1 point

When I’m teleworking I forward my office phone to my cell phone. When it rings it has a six digit number that is obviously from base which I don’t answer if it’s after 1600. The answer here may be to have the support agencies have on call phones that are forwarded from the desk phone in the same way. The problem here is that aren’t able to ask for their supervisor if they are incompetent.1 point

Don't be too hard on Gen Z, they may save this country: ‘Right’ thinking Gen Z will save America: Devine (nypost.com) Remember when Jane Fonda, the octogenarian actress, triumphantly declared last year that COVID-19 is “God’s gift to the left,” because it would help Joe Biden beat Donald Trump and transform America into a socialist paradise? Well, be careful what you wish for, lefties. There are generational consequences for the repressive lockdowns, the vaccine and mask mandates, the disruption of school and college and the savage curtailing of the social lives of young people for a virus that basically doesn’t affect them. When old people in power scold children and young people for “selfishness” if they don’t get triple-vaxxed, or if they let their mask slip below their nose occasionally, or try to have some fun in the sun, it’s obvious who actually is being selfish. It’s not the generation that has pretty uncomplainingly borne the brunt of the pandemic emergency measures in order to keep older and obese people safe. Generation Z, aged 9 to 25, have a minuscule risk of death or hospitalization from COVID-19 but they have missed out on school and sports, and lost jobs and opportunities. At an age when socializing with their peers is crucial, they have suffered the isolation of curfews and closures that have taken a savage toll on their mental health. “We have been locked down for the best years of our life, and high school and college has been ruined,” says 16-year-old Tim Korshunov. Now they are rebelling against the liberal establishment that betrayed them. In what will be a great shock to the Boomers, Gen Z’ers are becoming conservative — or at least rejecting the woke cultural soup into which they were born. You can see the trends on their preferred social-media platform, TikTok. It was TikTokers who helped make the anti-establishment, anti-Biden “Let’s Go Brandon” chant at college games go viral. “It’s the slogan of our generation,” says Korshunov. “Let’s Go Brandon” has become a rallying cry for young conservatives calling out President Joe Biden’s socialist state. Getty Images The first generation not to know life before cellphones, last year they became the largest generation on Earth. And by 2024, Gen Z and millennials will be the largest voting bloc. But unlike millennials, many of whom have gullibly accepted the leftist indoctrination of their elders, Gen Z is skeptical and less trusting of authority. They verify reality with their own research, and they trust their peers on social media more than established sources of information. The top influencers on TikTok — youngsters who produce 10-to-15 second videos — are refreshingly scathing about the dishonest meta-narratives pumped out by establishment media, whether it is the lionizing of Marxist organization BLM or the false branding of 18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse as a white supremacist. Tapping into the TikTok-influencer market is the future for the right, and so far, so good. The largest conservative network for young people on the platform is “Today is America,” which caters to 55 million users under the age of 33, with a network of 260 young “content creators” from all over the US, who make short videos on their phones with pro-America, pro-conservative, pro-capitalist themes, often delivered with wry humor. “We don’t care if you’re libertarian or conservative . . . or all forms of the ideological spectrum . . . as long as we are on the right side and we’re all promoting America,” says TIA co-founder Cam Rafizadeh, a 25-year-old entrepreneur. One of TIA’s TikTok videos, titled “Liberals after watching the mainstream media and blindly believing it,” features a CNBC freeze frame claiming double masking has “Efficiency: 75%” and “Triple Mask. Efficiency: 90%.” A young man stands in front of the screen and silently puts on multiple masks over his face and eyes. Another video begins with a young woman sipping a cup of coffee when the words “Since when did girls star preferring . . .” flashes onto the screen over images of boys in drag. The words “. . . to this” then appear, over images of Leo DiCaprio, Prince William, Tom Brady and assorted masculine types. Popular Manhattan influencer “thedebralea” promotes traditional family values. “Motherhood is the biggest blessing in life,” she says in one of her posts. Cam and younger brother Liam, 21, got into the ideas business by accident. The North Carolinians found themselves with time on their hands in the pandemic and launched an online store to sell Trump gear and patriotic merchandise. They used social-media influencers to market their T-shirts but, says Cam, “these people were brutally attacked, harassed and threatened.” One of their young TikTokers was sent a bloody box of animal guts to his family home. Others were doxxed, their families threatened, and they were bullied at school, including from teachers who didn’t approve of their conservative output. A lot of their creators decided to quit TikTok. “My brother and I thought it’s terrifying this is going on in our country,” says Cam. So they quit their jobs and turned from a merchandising company into a nonprofit pro-America community of Gen Z influencers, protecting them, helping them expand their brands and providing them with cameras to make more professional videos for YouTube or Rumble. “I felt a serious calling,” says Cam. “I felt this is it. If we don’t, we will lose our country.” The brothers recruited smart Gen Zers into the organization. Korshunov, for instance, has quit school and become TIA’s head of development. Their director of strategy, 25-year-old Ben Geller, was just elected a legislator in Dutchess County District 4. He points to the untapped electoral power of Gen Z, of whom the 70 percent who were eligible to vote last year stayed home. Geller says a lot of younger conservatives are “cautious or apprehensive about being judged or losing their jobs. They don’t talk on social media for fear of retribution from their employer or being lashed at by family members so they stayed home or stayed silent because of fear something would happen.” That’s where TIA comes in, helping make conservatism cool. Of course, their creators come in for the usual social-media censorship. Every day, someone is deleted or deplatformed. As many as three quarters are on their third or fourth accounts, but TikTok’s algorithms allow them to regain their audience within a week or two, says Cam. And he says the more suppression they face, the more Gen Z seeks out forbidden ideas. “I always tell people Gen Z will save America.” It will be up the Gen Z to rebuild the institutions and replenish the moral capital squandered by their forbears. Eat your heart out, Hanoi Jane!-1 points
