Here’s my issue with Kinzinger: I don’t have a problem if you’re anti-Trump, even if you’re a Republican. I also don’t have a problem if you believe that 6 Jan was an “insurrection to overturn the election” (lamest insurrection ever if it actually was one lol, so I do question your philosophical bias in that case). My issue is that when Pelosi/Dem leaders set up the “bipartisan” 6 Jan committee but then wouldn’t allow the Republican leadership to choose their members, then it was obvious that this was anything but “bipartisan” and all it was ever going to be is just be a witch-hunt against Trump/his supporters in the House, etc. And when Adam then joined their committee, only because the Dems knew he was against Trump, then he joined the witch-hunt/political theater. If he would have then left the Republican Party to be an independent I would have said he followed his conscience, but he didn’t. The question now is this: Does he know he’s being used by Pelosi? If so, then what does he get out of it? Surely Adam can’t actually believe that the committee is anything but political theater?

The hard part about answering that is it can’t be answered on an Internet forum. Like you, I’ve flown with E-7 in real life (and in virtual test events). I 100% agree with CH we have better alternatives on a similar timeline. I talk to GOs and CODELs about it, I get the smile/nod and obligatory “supportive statements” from them, then watch them walk away and go blow Boeing some more (and I do like some Boeing programs). The E-7 is not the solution you want, it’s just the horse “the old guys holding the purse strings” want, alternative advocacy from warfighters be damned!

How about instead of AUMF’s for Ukraine and sending them $33 billion more in aid, we knock that down to a piddly $23 billion and put that other 10 towards getting barracks and common spaces that aren’t infested with black mold?

The problem wasn’t becoming an anti-Trump Republican. The problem was that in becoming an anti-Trump Republican he hilariously took on lots of the traits of Trump himself, including tweeting epically dumb shit. His “you’re only a patriot if you fought in the revolutionary war” tweet probably taking the cake. He had an opportunity to take a level headed approach and provide a straight forward, no nonsense, conservative opinion, and instead decided he liked the instant gratification of likes on his tweets from people with TDS and appearances on left leaning talk shows. Go look at his Twitter now. It’s almost entirely shit talking Tucker Carlson and focusing on Jan 6th and Michael Flynn. Meanwhile there are serious policy issues facing this country, including an out of control border, massive inflation, supply chain crisis, that could really use some no nonsense leadership to solve and he refuses to talk about it. That is why this guy is a clown.

Sure, I’d take a few operational E-7s right meow, but not if the procurement/sustainment sucks the dollars away from better shit that’s on a similar timeline as the actual E-7 (vs. the hypothetical 6 month timeline).

Timing is everything. It needs to be in place far enough in advance of the election to be useful. Elections, after all, are a stated primary target of this board. This way, if both houses swing hard right, the administration will have a tool to undermine faith in the legitimacy of those newly elected senators and representatives. Especially if they start treating the President with the same courtesy that was shown to the last one.

Lawrence of Arabia Just watched it for the first time. Some of the best cinematography I’ve ever seen, including in modern films. Set to an excellent score that helps do justice to the starkly beautiful scenery. Peter O’Toole gives an excellent performance, even if he tends to over-act on occasion & Omar Sharif nearly steals the show. Anyone who has experienced the ideals of youth being crushed by the cold realities of the world will have an instant connection with the storyline. I really think the movie needs to be seen in the theatre to be truly appreciated & I’ll be looking for an opportunity to do so. Highly recommend with the caveat that you must be prepared to have a nearly four hour chunk taken out of your day.

LAF-C O-5 board was in January and sounds like selects were informed today. For LAF-A, that timeline probably means late June to early July for release.

Something has to be done to combat disinformation, which is deliberately deceptive information made by unreliable sources like Russian and Chinese troll farms. There are too many dumb people in this world who live in their disinformation echo chamber. There are limited exceptions to the First Amendment, and fraud is one of them. While all disinformation couldn't fall under the fraud exception to the First Amendment, there is a subset of disinformation that could. Your response is extremely emotional, especially with saying something like "the Constitution is Dead." Take a step back and put on an analytical lens. Not everything Biden does is an extremist "end of the Constitution action," and the same held true for Trump during his Presidency.
