  1. There’s a line…and Demonrat crossed it. His recent posts and subsequent replies have been deleted.

  2. Neither actually. Herbies, afsoc and helo bound will never fly the T-7. For the maf types (the plurality of AF pilot accessions) its T6 wings and straight to airline training (sim based initial qualification). There's plans for some half baked crm centric t1 sim only as a precursor to their heavy FTU. Beyond that, it's gonna be a significant bifurcation of qualitative training difference between the IBF product (aka navy strike pipeline, for our 11F/B), and everybody else.

  4. What I don’t understand is when the FAA said ‘nah’, why they didn’t just go do it in Mexico, where anything goes. They were in Arizona already…just do it over there. Instead they directly challenged the FAA, after they’d made their ruling.

  6. There isn't a pilot shortage. There are more than enough qualified candidates. The problem at most airlines is simply training throughput. If you look a bit, there is plenty of info circulating around the interwebs to support this. https://www.alpa.org/advocacy/pilot-supply is one example. Airlines are quick to jump on the pilot shortage myth instead of taking responsibility for their own poor planning which is creating a training bottleneck. Age 67 is an uphill battle because it hasn't changed with ICAO. Not the same as when we went from 60 to 65. 65 had already changed internationally and the skids were greased to make it happen fast and it did. 67 is not the same situation and at least at ALPA, it is not supported by the majority of pilot groups. I'm sure there will be some pilots that will want to fly until they die, but from what I'm hearing from my union contacts on Capitol Hill, it's unlikely to gain much traction.

  8. Amen, Lets get back to how the Russians suck. In this case deliberately hurting themselves to get off the battlefield.

  9. 2, I really hope this thread doesn’t devolve into another left vs right pissing contest, literally half a dozen other threads to argue that shit in.

  11. Just posting an update. I've been grinding away working and generating flight time. Got about 10 hours under my belt now with no intention of stopping. Hoping to accumulate 21+ to get me to an 85 PCSM by the Mako's deadline of June 6th. Went to visit Jacksonville in person early last month, saw them at their social this past weekend, and I'm hoping to get back there at least one more time soon to keep rushing. If I don't land an interview that's ok, I'll just come back next time with a stronger packet (or I'll get nabbed by AD; who knows?). They're by far my top choice. Anyways, hope you're all doing well!

  12. What hasn't changed is how the Democratic party still strongly believes that race is a person's most important attribute in determining who they are.

  14. Prozac you've made some really phenomenal arguments that we can reduce social spending, back off student debt relieve and not worry about making housing more abundant and affordable. Thanks mate.

  15. As much as I admire what Redbull has done to promote aviation, I think the FAA needs to go after the company as well. Someone there planned and approved the stunt, even after the FAA declined to approve it. And yeah, the pilots should’ve known better too.

  17. Yeah…$30.5 TRILLION in debt but we shouldn’t put America and her taxpayer’s first. And the left will literally say it’s because the top 10-20% isn’t paying their “fair share”.

  19. They used cell phone data to track "pings" that visited different drop-off boxes and NGOs (democrat HQs). They located at least 2000 individual phones that visited at least 20 times to different drop-off boxes. Based on video evidence, each drop off was about 5 votes. Systematic voter fraud.

  20. The new conservatism is forgetting the past century plus' worth of historical lessons, paid in blood (to the tune of about 200 million dead), all for immediate convenience. But yay America First!
