  1. Bound to happen. Wondering if Big Blue will follow suit? .

  2. Concur...I don't like Trump and would not want him as a boss, I truly hope he doesn't run again. That being said, was all of this damage worth it?

  3. Really? Biden was hidden away during most of his campaign. I don't remember him "articulating" anything, and would be surprised if he did as most days he's challenged to know where he is. Go back and watch his performance during the debates. If you really think that was "articulating," please explain how it is for the rest of us. Sure, DeSantis hasn't started campaigning yet, it's a bit early but given how the Democrats are digging themselves deeper into a hole with their economic "plan" and other failed efforts, it won't take much to defeat them in 2024. Honestly, after 18 months in office, tell me one "success" the Biden Administration has achieved. Just one. I'll wait. Hopefully "The Donald" will be smart enough to stay under the radar this time and no longer divide the Republicans...

  4. $10 Trillion is net worth WIPED out. 8.6% "transitory" inflation. $5+ National Average for a gallon of gas. No mean tweets.

  6. As did the Republicans in 2020, and while that election still has considerable stink associated with it, it's not worth arguing about anymore! Conspiracy theories aside, I believe Trump was his own worst enemy far more so than Biden being a viable alternative, and time has proven me correct. Had he stood on his accomplishments, and parked his ego in the corner for a while (yes, I realize that's an impossible task for him), he would/should have won re-election by a landslide. I still cannot fathom what anyone saw in Biden, he stayed out of view as much as possible during the run up and let Trump put a noose around his own neck (probably the best strategy he could have used). Personalities aside, there is no way anyone will convince me that Biden is a better president than Trump. For all is faults, Trump did get the economy going in the right direction and put this country's best interests before others. The current administration seems hell bent on sending it into the toilet!

  7. It depends of course, but in your example if it were allegations/rumors, then the cause wouldn’t be released. It would take said Skipper needing to be charged with a UCMJ violation. Now, what leaks out is a totally different story.

  8. I’d take W as a CC. Probably would have pretty wild roll calls and a good party atmosphere.

  12. Why not simply offer to put young, experienced CFI's through OTS and commission them... put them through UPT...guarantee them a FAIP assignment... and only give them a ~4 year commitment (post UPT)? Then... offer them the option to remain on active duty and go to a new assignment if they so desire.

  13. It irks me to no end about the “just normal ops” line when looking at awarding medals to folks. By that logic, there should never be a medal awarded for any action short of self-sacrifice. Sal Giunta was just doing his job as an infantry NCO. Leo Thorsness just supported a rescue (that was unsuccessful and got an A-1 shot down). Tom Norris helped rescue some downed aircrew in a riverine environment well within a SEALs “normal ops”. Thomas Payne helped the core activity of Delta by doing a hostage rescue…pretty “normal ops”. See how monumentally stupid that sounds? I’m not saying the actions from various aircrew at HKIA are MOH worthy. What I am saying is that there was some serious gallantry, skill, bravery, and perseverance to make things happen. That deserves to be honored officially in the form of medal awards. I’ve got no connection to the C-17 community beyond riding as a pax a few times, but seeing what those guys did made me incredibly proud to be in the Air Force. Same goes for the Army helo guys, the Marines at the gates, etc. Massively proud of all these folks and their execution of “normal ops”.

  14. I was told he flew a CV-22 into the trees and did some minor damage to the bird...was also "told" they continued on with the training mission after the tree event. One of dudes in the back thought for sure they were going to flip over and crash. The then AFSOC/CC was prepared to end him but Slife stepped in and said he could "save him"... Cat 5 was 3 or 4 BPZ at that point and as I heard that same AFSOC/CC say to my face after another incident, "some people are too far along to let them fail" meaning they had invested so much in making him a GO they didn't want to waste it because AFSOC is obsessed with making AFSOC GOs. Truly one of the worst humans on earth.
