Bound to happen. Wondering if Big Blue will follow suit? .4 points

Are they going to waive the 1500 hour minimum and the mandatory retirement age? How about scheduling for what you have the resources to do and not overbook.3 points

Remember when Trump couldn’t walk down a ramp at West Point?! His twitter reply to the uproar is so ironic two years later… https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/15/politics/donald-trump-ramp-west-point-speech/index.html3 points

Actually most of it centered on how much the requirements are severely limiting the pool of potential applicants (several people/retired guys said they’d happily move to XL if this was a GS-13 gig). And also how much the pay would suck. And they standard wheels coming off/dumpster fire/this will work as well as the dryers downrange type stuff.2 points

I’d take W as a CC. Probably would have pretty wild roll calls and a good party atmosphere.2 points

This administration and much of the left live in fantasy land. Reality is bitch slapping them in the face right about now.1 point

This guy... What amazes me, is that 9 out of 10 times, I see ole Petey on talking head news, he's never discussing anything transportation related. He's always throwing in his two cents on things way outside the purview of the Secretary of Transportation. Of course now that his travel plans have been negatively impacted, maybe he will start doing transportation stuff.1 point

That's a great sound bite and all, but who is going to train them? A huge portion of our experience took early retirements during the great overreaction we lived through over the last few years. So now we have a vastly inexperienced (relatively speaking) work force trying to right the ship, and that shit just doesn't happen over night. In many sections of the airline, we have the equivalent of 4-ship flight leads running the IPUG and are surprised when the product is shit. My understanding is that many of our experienced folks have been called back as consultants to help, but there is only so much you can do when you lose the staggering amount of experience we have lost. This experience gap is but one result of policies enacted by our government (and those around the world).1 point

As did the Republicans in 2020, and while that election still has considerable stink associated with it, it's not worth arguing about anymore! Conspiracy theories aside, I believe Trump was his own worst enemy far more so than Biden being a viable alternative, and time has proven me correct. Had he stood on his accomplishments, and parked his ego in the corner for a while (yes, I realize that's an impossible task for him), he would/should have won re-election by a landslide. I still cannot fathom what anyone saw in Biden, he stayed out of view as much as possible during the run up and let Trump put a noose around his own neck (probably the best strategy he could have used). Personalities aside, there is no way anyone will convince me that Biden is a better president than Trump. For all is faults, Trump did get the economy going in the right direction and put this country's best interests before others. The current administration seems hell bent on sending it into the toilet!1 point

Concur...I don't like Trump and would not want him as a boss, I truly hope he doesn't run again. That being said, was all of this damage worth it?1 point

On that we agree. I wouldn’t expect him to ever be “smart enough” do do anything other than put himself first though.1 point

Really? Biden was hidden away during most of his campaign. I don't remember him "articulating" anything, and would be surprised if he did as most days he's challenged to know where he is. Go back and watch his performance during the debates. If you really think that was "articulating," please explain how it is for the rest of us. Sure, DeSantis hasn't started campaigning yet, it's a bit early but given how the Democrats are digging themselves deeper into a hole with their economic "plan" and other failed efforts, it won't take much to defeat them in 2024. Honestly, after 18 months in office, tell me one "success" the Biden Administration has achieved. Just one. I'll wait. Hopefully "The Donald" will be smart enough to stay under the radar this time and no longer divide the Republicans...1 point

I roomed my my FE on our first deployment; he’d make a paste from Pepto-Bismol and crushed ambien, then brush it onto cigarettes and smoke them. I never tried it myself, but it did appear to create substantial effects.1 point

Howdy y'all, Long time stalker, first time poster. Wanted to contribute to this thread as this was integral to my success in securing a fighter slot this past spring. Almost everything that was asked had some roots in what has already been said here. The one thing that I'd never heard before was something along the lines of: "You're going to get back from the B-Course and be qualified to fly one of the most advanced weapon systems in the world, and I'm going to make you make coffee and popcorn. How do you feel about this? Do you know why we do this?" In addition, I was asked very tailored questions as I had been rushing and interviewing with the squadron for the previous 2.5 years. This, being my third round with the unit, was the most relaxed interview I had ever been in. General gouge for the readers: if you are anything like me, you have been viewing this pursuit in the form of checking off boxes. In my humble opinion, that is the wrong way to think of it at the interview stage of the game. The reason why I got the slot this year was that I truly got to know myself outside of my desire for this career. This gave me a deeper understanding of my motives and inner character, which allowed me to communicate effectively and confidently in the interview. Number one piece of advice for the applicant who gets their first interview: think introspectively and truly get to know yourself before going in. Best of luck to everyone!1 point

Am I under arrest officer or am I free to go? Dissecting words here like I’m on trial, good grief. Yes, I, nsplayr of BO.net do hereby once and for all condemn violent protests/riots/insurrections that damage government (or private!) buildings, hurt cops (or innocent bystanders!) and especially which attempt to change government policy via violence, regardless of who participates. In case it was for some reason unclear based on me previously saying I feel “strongly negative” toward these events and “don’t support” them 🙄 Do you feel the same about Jan 6th, 2021? How about the Bundy Standoff? I’m mainly talking there about the 2016 incident in Oregon. How about bombing abortion clinics, the Oklahoma City federal building, or the Nashville Christmas Day bombing? My take: they’re all bad! Violence in the name of domestic political aims or insane political conspiracy theories is bad and people who do it are bad and should be arrested, prosecuted, and convicted if guilty.1 point
