So is what you are saying we are trying to hit a random moving target with our ambiguous selection criteria because the composition of the US is changing? Nsplayer. Please explain why the military needs to match the skin color and genitalia percentages of our country? Why it matters more than combat effectiveness or capability? Also how is preferring one demographic of skin color over another or gender not racist or sexist?3 points

Let’s just make sure we have an equivalent officer core of fatties and handicapped, we wouldn’t want to be fat phobic or ablest. Let’s ensure we retain those with severe psychological problems as well because #Fairness or we could focus on attracting people who value victory and know how to fight.3 points

Chump change compared to the $240 Billion for student loan relief, and a much better use of tax dollars imho. Afterthought: student loan relief should only be given for those that travel to Ukraine to assist. [emoji1787] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

The 122FS is expecting to have a UPT board in the spring of 2023, with squadron visits/rush events starting back up November drill 2022. These rush events involve visiting the squadron Friday/Saturday and a social event on the town Saturday afternoon. They are by invite and require a completed/qualifying application to attend. Invites will be sent out about a month out to allow time to plan travel. Requirements for a completed application are below. In addition to that please fill out the one page powerpoint document that is attached (this helps us put names to faces during visits). Submit this powerpoint as a separate document to your application. Your application should include the following items, in order, in a SINGLE PDF file: 1. Cover letter addressed to the 122FS Hiring Board stating the position you are interested in interviewing for and outlining your qualifications. 2. Printout of your AFOQT and PCSM Scores from the official website. 3. Resume to include civilian, military, and sports experience (Please make this as comprehensive as possible on a single page, it will be heavily weighted.) 4. Transcript Summary from an accredited 4-year or higher degree. 5. Minimum of 3 letters of recommendation. Address to: UPT Selection Board 6. If prior service, your last two EPR/OPRs. Redact any sensitive info like SSN. 7. A current photo and date of birth. Submit this information as well as any questions you may have to 122fspilothiring@gmail.com Good luck! We don't have teachers' unions here in South Carolina and yet there is the same craziness. I would say that in addition to teachers' unions, teacher's colleges are as much of a problem.2 points

^ this is fair, but I’m also not sure that’s what the OP meant. If so…as I was!1 point

In this case, somebody hired off of merit would not look like they were reading statements from a book. They would look like somebody professional enough to think on their feet and talk extemporaneously with honesty about the questions that are asked, not somebody who spends 80% of every briefing reading pre-written notes that may or may not answer the actual question. Count the number of “umms” and “ahhhs” and tell me the average undergrad communications major couldn’t do better. Psaki was a liar but at least she looked competent at speaking in public.1 point

Someone who was hired on merit wouldn't struggle so much with incredibly predictable questions.1 point

Isn’t it impossible to make the percentages of skin color and gender when you can change how you identify at any given moment? Gotta believe that’s a little difficult. But we should spend our treasure and time to try to do it. Who cares about doing military type things.1 point

Came straight off the US census website fact sheet, which is odd now because now I want to know where the data discrepancy is since this fact sheet was updated for 2020 census. https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/fact/table/US/PST0452211 point

I'm confused by this, can you explain what you mean? What does someone look like who got hired out of merit? I kinda thought the idea was that merit was unrelated to what you looked like but maybe you have a different philosophy and I'd like to learn more about it.1 point

I posted this in the airline thread a few days ago...others have since said it was debunked.1 point

The unions are bad, but worse is just the overall culture of education. From elementary school to doctoral degrees, the culture is generally far more liberal than the surrounding community would warrant. The left made a concerted effort to take over the education system in the 60s and it paid off big time for them.1 point

Just a thought, but in that scenario they’ll still have a border to protect and a neighbor with a history of continuing to meddle even after things are “settled.” UKR would be strapped for cash yes, but I’d think they’d have a compelling interest in retaining whatever self defense capability they held. I’m thinking more along the lines of Israel after Nickel Grass.1 point

UFB!!! Instead of being appalled the teachers union doubled down and told teachers they should not speak with "non-vetted" reporters.1 point

Just a reminder that these people had parents who opposed LGBT curriculum that included graphic depictions of oral sex branded as "domestic terrorists" by the FBI. https://thenationaldesk.com/news/americas-news-now/doj-memo-which-compared-parents-to-terrorists-allegedly-requested-by-education-secretary-miguel-cardona-national-school-board-association-white-house-education-deparment-justice-marrick-garland-nsba-school-board-domestic-doj-doe1 point

**message end** … rest of what you wrote valid, but you nailed it in your first sentence. Time to move out and onward. I will say this… a year at the Deid sucks…but I didn’t miss the constant political BS around every news or media corner. You could just bury your head in CAOC queep . Granted…I’m now back home on Cap Hill…so I’ll punch myself in the nuts for that one. Scooter…wake up it’s meeting time. ATIS1 point

Trump's lunatic call to re-reinstated is laughable, he needs to just go away. However, the truth is slowly coming out and it is becoming ever more clear elements within the FBI put their fingers on the election scale by purposely suppressing/discrediting the Hunter Biden Laptop. If the multiple whistleblowers who have come forward are to be believed there is good reason two top FBI agents resigned after allegedly purposely thwarting an investigation of the laptop. Did anyone see the Mark Zuckerberg segment on Joe Rogan where he says the FBI came to warn him of a misinformation dump that was about to occur, the shocking part is the FBI already had the laptop at that point...they knew it was real. There is most certainly some rot in the once hallowed halls of the FBI.1 point
