So, as I predicted, the Dobbs decision doesn’t seem to be some great rallying cry to sink the GOP in the midterms. Sure it’s affecting a few close races here and there, and an argument could be made that it possibly could be the difference between the GOP taking the Senate or not, but here’s why the Dems aren’t capitalizing like they had hoped: Dems in swing states say that they don’t want any restrictions on abortion. So they’re taking on an extreme position of the right by offering their own extreme position. The net change: Very little when you factor in the economy, border security, energy, etc.1 point

One of the biggest things I miss about Japan…no homeless in sight. It is considered shameful. One of the cleanest countries I’ve been to besides Singapore.1 point

Do nuclear detonations count as instantaneous climate change? Or is that too much political spin?1 point

Saying the words multiple times doesn't make them the focus and context matters. Equity is mentioned 6 times, Inclusion is mentioned 6 times, the emphasis is clear. That's not true and you know it or you didn't actually read it. The entire "Strengthening Our Democracy" is about the election and aftermath, the wordsmiths just got creative so they wouldn't have to use the words. In the same section there is one mention of China and no mentions of Russia. Again, context and emphasis matter. No sure about dream big, but I read it. Overall I give it a C, there was an attempt to work in all the DIME instruments but the social and climate change goop dilutes this into a fairy tale. I am a knuckle-dragging mouth breather but I did note these other items. When reading you will note the first theme in his vision is Climate Change. He proceeds to countering authoritarian regimes but comes right back to Climate Change with this statement - "Of all of the shared problems we face, climate change is the greatest and potentially existential for all nations." I am sorry, Climate Change is an important issue but with Putin dropping threats to use tac nukes that could lead to Armageddon, I think there is a bigger threat to the survival of our country and mankind. In Climate Change section there is another "work of art" - "We have also experienced a global energy crisis driven by Russia’s weaponization of the oil and gas supplies it controls, exacerbated by OPEC’s management of its own supply." It is a fact that gas prices were WAY up BEFORE Putin invaded Ukraine. Also, there is a solution that makes us energy independent. I really enjoyed him throwing Clinton's vision under the bus "Fifth, we recognize that globalization has delivered immense benefits for the United States and the world but an adjustment is now required to cope with dramatic global changes such as widening inequality within and among countries" No Shit, this so called globalization outsourced a metric shit ton of American jobs and manufacturing...micro chips for all my friends. The section on modernizing and strengthening our military is capped off with his social agenda - "We will strengthen the effectiveness of the force by promoting diversity and inclusion; intensifying our suicide prevention efforts; eliminating the scourges of sexual assault, harassment, and other forms of violence, abuse, and discrimination;" The section on Climate and Energy Security is again nothing but social agenda. Again to quote "Events like Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine have made clear the urgent need to accelerate the transition away from fossil fuels." Not a single word about securing energy for America, just his agenda to shut down fossil fuels...an abhorrent fail IMHO.1 point

Wanna have some SF fun and make em cry? Rent one of these from Hertz. Introducing the The Shelby GT-H (H for Hertz). 500HP of 'Merican V8 power, sporting a Hertz custom Borla exhaust (sounds AWESOME), fat tires, big brakes, 10 speed auto tranny (so you can keep both hands of the wheel of this power monster). You can rent this in SFO. Now I will add that more fun is had if you go north and get into the winding roads. Every gallon of gas is a blast. So Much Fun! 0-60 in 3.9s, and I know, Tesla Plaid blah blah blah, but Tesla sounds like eh. This baby growls all the way, so they hear you coming... and going. Hertz is also making some custom 900+ HP supercharged Shelby GT500s for rent, but none for SFO.1 point

If someone would look down on you for getting and keeping a job to further your life goals then that isn’t a unit you would want to be apart of.1 point

I still fail to understand the mandate outrage from military members. The military can literally order you on an ALR-extreme suicide mission in some bullshit war halfway around the world. Of course they don't have your best interests at heart. The military can mandate things about your fitness, alcohol consumption, drug use, grooming standards, and they can even put you in jail for things that are perfectly legal in the civilian world. And you signed up for it. No one made you. So if they need you to be vaxxed so the rotator doesnt get held up by a customs shitshow at your deployed location.. tough cookies. Do I think the mandates did anything? No. Do I trust the government or big pharma? Also No. Do I think the vaccine risks are zero? Also no. But the military mandated it for a multitude of reasons, some bad and some less bad. And in the grand scheme of things a 84% increase in a 0.01% chance of maybe getting myocarditis doesn't even register on the scale of things that are actual health dangers. Id believe the "my body is a temple" argument a lot more if it weren't for the bro-science pre-workout powder, twice-a-year cardio regimen, 7 shots at roll call, 3 monsters, and a pack of zyns per day. Because I promise all of those things are far worse for your heart.1 point

So there’s this whiny FGO in my squadron that seems like he doesn’t want to fly with me. I’m the DO, and I have a ‘go-fly’ list of people I want to fly with. I specifically ask Skeds to put us together, but every time we end up on the schedule together he takes “emergency” leave or says he can’t clear his ears. I’m pretty much the best pilot in the squadron, if not the wing, so I know I can show him a thing or two. When I talk to my life-size doll of Robin Olds, (that I keep in my office) his mustache speaks to me and says I should just smash his soul out of his body. Oh whatever should I do? These damn millennials…-1 points
