The crazy part is that there are people out there who actually believe this. They're the same people at the whole foods who stared me down for not wearing a mask (a few months ago)! I hope I get to see their tears flow when the judges finally force the government to put the unvaxxed back in the system.

Yeah, I’d be willing to bet a lot of $ that one, or more, of these guys will lose their conference championship game. Which will completely muddy the entire thing - if only there was a playoff format that could help remedy this situation.

43X - perfect balance of size, capacity, and quality. I like bigger cartridges too, but I also like having a pistol that I’m comfortable carrying (IWB) all 4 seasons in any situation (t-shirt/shorts is no problem). I can keep it on my hip all day - driving, sitting, whatever. Whatever you choose, if it’s not comfortable AND works for you to put rounds ONLY where you want them, then it’s a bad carry gun (for you). Quality wise, I have several Glocks with thousands of rounds through them - excellent pistols that I trust my and my family’s lives against humans and dangerous wildlife. I’ll probably never carry any other company’s pistol (not to say there aren’t many great companies out there).

This is it right here. Our sports culture prizes physical toughness. The legendary performances are mostly people pushing through illness and injury to win: Jack Youngblood playing in the Super Bowl with a broken leg, Michael Jordan dominating in the Flu Game, Kirk Gibson clobbering a home run in the World Series on injured legs, Kerri Strug sticking the landing on a busted ankle, Byron Leftwich leading a comeback with a leg injured so bad he had to be carried by his linemen, Ronnie Lott having part of his finger amputated so he could go back in and on and on.

At this point not hiring people over the COVID vaccine seems dumb. Everyone either already got the disease or the vaccine or both or is magic…either way NBD. BUT, it’s also dumb to punish felons to a lifetime of drudgery and poverty after they have served their sentence. I’m fully on board with hiring rehabilitated felons at a wide variety of jobs if they can meet the requirements anyone else would need to meet.

Flew to OAK the other day, probably 80% of pax were masked (a strong contrast from literally every flight I’ve flown since the mandate ended). But it’s San Fran, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. I bet all of them would rather fly with the con than with an unvaxxed person.

Not to hijack the thread but on the overarching theme of American disinterest due to a perceived lack of action, I wish Rugby would get more of a following here. There’s constant action, violence, and toughness is encouraged. And the culture of player respect (“hooligans game played by gentlemen”) would play well with uptight Americans. I legitimately think if soccer outlawed or at least penalized the flopping, it’d get more of a following here. That part of the game is so antithetical to American sporting culture that I think it’ll hold the sport back here forever.

WE are definitely getting it this year lol. It’s my first time applying too. I’d be in the same boat next year. But I’d still apply!
