In UPT, I Launched out in a T-38 as #4 in a 20 second trail departure in crappy weather to about FL200. Broke out on top, picked up a visual on #3, plugged in the blowers and started climbing to catch him. After some time climbing and approaching the top of block, my feeble brain comes to the conclusion something ain't right about the time I vis ID "#3" as an Evergreen International 727. Oops. Rolling the jet on its back, I see the other 3 jets about 4000 feet below me and I'm hoping they didn't notice as I rejoin. All my IP said was "Nice recovery."8 points

Warnok is a POS scumbag. This was a case of scumbag vs idiot. I would have voted for the idiot.4 points

No, 1.7 million saw the numbnuts warnock and thought, no way in hell, and then said I'd rather have someone brighter than POTUS but still not all there.4 points

I’m also largely Scottish with some Irish thrown in and Catholic…so I’m surprised you are unsure who you can blame for your family’s plight. The British! You can and absolutely should still blame them. Screw King Charles the Turd and his whole wanker family. 🏴🇮🇪 This is also a classic American view that the Founding Fathers would 100% endorse 🇺🇸2 points

I grew up Catholic (I'm a mick bastard). I never once heard race brought up at mass. Never. Can a Priest (preacher for non catholics) get away with saying stop worshiping blackness in 2022? When do black people stop getting a racism pass? If we paid reparations, would the black population be happy? If we give them their 40 acres and a mule? We have all been made painfully aware for the sins of our fathers. How far back do I get to blame others for crimes against my family. I'd like to blame England for forcing my family from Ireland during 1870 (actual year most of my family came over) due to starvation. Who can I blame. Maybe this is why my family is full of drug abuse and alcoholism? Get over your race. We don't get to choose that (as of today). We're all stuck here together for some magical reason in the USA. The sooner we quit making things about race, the better. I have a complete disdain for slavery. I find it very difficult to imagine humans doing that to others. Telling your followers that whiteness is the reason for your problems is a lame excuse to remove responsibility from your actions.2 points

I’d rather cut all the dead weight personnel than new tech. At my base if you got rid of all the NCO’s that are sucking up $60k per year struggling to justify their existence you could give each pilot a $100k+ bonus and still save money.2 points

I 100% endorse this. We do not attribute enough responsibility of our country's history with slavery/racism to the British. That was not a system we instituted. It was a system they did, particularly one ultra powerful family did, to benefit their wealth and empire. They really should assume and take responsibility for the majority of the blame.1 point

1. "America, nobody can serve God and the military. You can’t serve God and money. You cannot serve God and mammon at the same time. America, choose ye this day who you will serve. Choose ye this day." That's the full quote, referencing Matthew 6:24, and I would tend to agree. Unfortunate that he would choose to pick out "the military" rather than just "your job/career" but he's the preacher and I'm not, let him cook. 2. Oh no, the black preacher from Ebenezer Baptist is getting political and I don't like it...when has that happened before? 🧐 White people may not feel comfortable with some of the messages on race and politics being preached in Black churches (and vice versa FWIW), also breaking news, the water is wet. Look I'm not super religious and I don't really like religious figures who are political all that much anyways...but I accept that it's not my flavor and move on. There are tons of other religious figures taking overt political stances and that's fine in a free country. Also, tax the churches. It also might be semantics, but calling Warnock a "fake 'Reverend'" seems weird...he has a MDiv, MPhil and PhD from Union Theological Seminary and is the full-time head pastor of a church. Seems to me like he's earned the title even if you don't like the messages in his sermons! All that to say, I like Warnock in general! He is a middle of the road Democrat who seems well spoken on policy and connects with regular people. I think he has a bright future in the party and the fact that he won GA now 4 times in 2 years kinda shows that voters even in a relatively conservative state tend to agree. Better luck in 2028! The GOP should try not to nominate a totally soulless corporate nobody (Loeffler) or an unfortunately brain-damaged college football star with a lot of hidden kids, abortions on his credit card receipts, and fake police badges (Walker) 😎1 point

The Herk is awesome and you’ll get a great mix of flying. Formation, airdrop, low level, NVG, dirt strips, airline style point to point with everything from Class B to uncontrolled fields, and oceanic legs. Beans can be a pain, and we’re the red-headed stepchildren of AMC/AFRES/ANG. If you like flying with your hands, stick and rudder, the Herk is where it’s at.1 point

Can confirm that Strike Eagle VML cycles are 2 years and 8 months. Most "get lucky" and stay for roughly 3 years. Some unlucky ones leave right at 2 years 8 months or less1 point

You are fundamentally wrong here. Democrats have done an AMAZING job of convincing their base that Republicans are generally evil. In fact, both parties have successfully contorted their cultural war platform into a morality war platform, which has provided vigor to their base that this is a political fight that needs won for moral reasons. If I don't support democratic/liberal/progressive values I am clearly a racist, a misogynist, homophobic, fascist etc... This has blanket applied to every single Republican candidate in every election and progressives have pushed and promoted it.1 point
-
That’s just it. Republicans & conservative media have perfected the art of absolutely demonizing any D candidate (or sitting representative for that matter) as an existential threat to America & their voters are eating that shit up. Unfortunately, the tactic works quite well. To be fair, liberals seem to be trying the same tactic, but they’re not nearly as good at it.1 point

I’m genuinely curious if you just think all Democrats are POS scumbags or if you have some issues with Warnock specifically.1 point

That’s it boys, right there. Bitch all you want about all the shithead voters in this country, but that will accomplish nothing. This is the only way forward to get the GOP back where it should be, and stop the insanity the Dems (via progressive takeover) have inflicted on our country.1 point

I completely agree, but your ridicule of GA's 1.7 million who voted correctly given 2 shitty choices, was misguided. The GOP def screwed the pooch, but lets be honest, even a good candidate would have struggled given the fervor the leftist have for tanking this nation.1 point

I'm cheering hard for the GOP, I really am. But they need to put forth candidates that aren't obvious idiots. So glad that this dumbass lost. The scariest thing is that it was close. 1.7 million people thought he should be a US Senator.1 point

Sounds like it’s time for the USAF to initiate a study on the topic. Maybe some surveys. I’m sure it’ll all be fixed right after.1 point

After seeing big Air Force drag their feet on using the full authorized amount for bonuses, I'm not optimistic about seeing $1500/ month flight pay. Especially when we have B-21s to pay for.1 point

I would be shocked if you weren’t while on MLOA. You’re still a member of SWAPA. I was in newhire training during the 2015 TA1 and we were all allowed to vote. We had little clue what a turd it was at the time, but we were able to vote.1 point

TBH I think wearing mask in a clinic actually makes since and probably should stick. Not just COVID, but really healthcare facilities are places sick people conjugate. Mask are effective with some types of illness. I would like to see our culture change a bit where people do start wearing mask when they have the sniffles and work centers become more tolerant of sick leave. I'm tired of this societal nonsense that you should tough it out when you're sick and go to work spewing snot everywhere. Not talking military here but mainstream society. Everywhere else though.... Yeah get rid of it.1 point
-
When a judge struck down the justification for masks on airplanes, no ensuing additional wave of illness ravaged the country as was predicted by “experts.” This anecdote alone is proof that we must terminate all COVID-19 related health mandates. It’s time for them all to go. I can’t believe we are still wearing masks in the clinic on base, utter foolishness.1 point

Are there a lot of O2 tanks in the waiting room? Even then... shouldn't everyone be free to make their own risk decision? "That guy is smoking next to an O2 tank, maybe I should leave". Of course the point is we accept some mandates... it's part of living in a society. I don't know why some people have decided wearing a mask in a hospital is the last straw towards a totalitarian society.-1 points
