OMG!!! I'm a victim of grooming! I feel so used. Lured me in and convinced me to throw high explosives all over the planet while drinking heavily and singing rude songs with my fellow Hawg drivers. I'm going to need a whole lot of counseling by a hot blonde, an emotional support puppy, and a case of good Irish whisky to fix this.3 points

Prozac that's a bunch of partisan bull and you know it. This isn't a case of "Elon Musk said this happened...." This is a case of "Elon Musk released an archive of direct correspondence between the DNC, FBI and Twitter board officers to journalist who then published it in its original form."3 points

I’ve had to walk Airfield Managers through their own pubs to figure out weight bearing capacity twice. They no shit had no idea what their taxiways were good for. I’m guessing there’s a good chance the Stillwater manager thought he was ok until he wasn’t. Keep those emails, kids.2 points

No military groomers in high school!!! However, let us groom your 7 year old child to become a transgender. The difference is nobody is forced into Jr ROTC or ROTC. As it stands, they want to force you to change your children's sex.2 points

There was also an airline pilot who chainsawed his wife up and put her through a wood-chipper. As to the sugar-tits comments by a pilot, while I wouldn't advise doing that...I have had much, much worse stuff said to me by female flight attendants. Of course, those FAs have been here long enough to remember when people used to have fun on overnights, back before the world started getting offended by everything lol.1 point

I agree it’s f****d that people are able to push the agenda of allowing kids to choose what sex they want to be and then allowing them to seek those changes without parental consent. But the data on the MiG is incorrect. The Fox News article you quoted actually referenced an article I saw a few weeks ago (One headline from Dec. 11 portrayed the JROTC as ensnaring teenagers, "Thousands of Teens Are Being Pushed Into Military’s Junior R.O.T.C." ). In multiple low income areas across the US, school administration officials are in fact forcing kids into JROTC programs without either the kids’ or parents consent. (https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/11/us/jrotc-schools-mandatory-automatic-enrollment.html) Not advocating for the abolishment of JROTC, and half of the crap in the article I think, is overt sensationalizing. Just giving more context.1 point

I think obesity is the worst problem facing the citizenry of this country and while a lot of that has to do with personal choice, this country is not set up to make meaningful change to curb it. Subsidies to farmers that are still in effect from the Great Depression to incentivize them to grow crops that exclusively end up making food crazy unhealthy (high fructose corn syrup, soybean oil, etc) will never be repealed thanks to lobbying and big agriculture. What actually made me officially leave the Republican Party to become a registered independent was the furor surrounding Michele Obama’s “Let’s Move” initiative and wanting to make school lunch healthier. The Republican response to that was purely political and proved nobody wants to actually make a difference. I’ll admit that school lunch and breakfast are just a piece of it, but JFC look at the average group of kids and how many are overweight. It’s terrible.1 point

Finally the left is actually correct for once in labeling something as a "phobia". I actually am scared of fat people. Scared that they might sit next to me on an airplane and take up half my seat. Or scared that they will get the window exit row seat and we all burn to death while they try to unhook their seatbelt extender, extract themselves from the seat, only to have them get stuck halfway out the door.1 point

Thank you for making the case of having a limited government, and a constitution that limits the power of elected officials..almost like our founding fathers intended. The RNC didn’t chose Trump, Trump chose the RNC. Trump was a reaction to years of condescending and elitist behavior from Obama and his like who only cared about costal metropolises and Chicago. Most Americans want a government that leaves them the hell alone and protects/values American ideals. Trump spoke to that crowd. But yes, time for him to go, way too toxic. A DeSantis or Haley ticket would revive the Republicans.1 point

Can we stand back and look at this. I'm not sitting here happy that Biden is president. I'm also not sitting here happy that Trump was the president before Biden. WTF is going on? The best the conservatives could do the last election before Biden was to put the most ridiculous clown into office. Drain the swamp. Liked his policies that actually made it through, hated everything else about Trump. Did he drain the swamp? No he did not. Put a bunch of his relatives into office - yes. Did he fix healthcare? No. Immigration? No. Lowered my taxes - yes. So there's that. And didn't get us into anymore "wars." But he is a toxic unpredictable mess that is only interested in cajoling other humans to make money. Really RNC? That's what you had to offer? You gave us someone who was predictably a one term president. Thanks. Then to react to that atrocity that was Trump we put someone up there that is a grandpa that you need to be several dates in before you intro him to your girlfriend, because....he has tendencies. And he's very likely senile. I don't agree with his policies, but I'm not going to knock the party for that. He's a ed up mess who can't articulate effectively. Not a personal attack, but he's ed up. As was Trump. WTF is going on here? We have had on display for at least the last 2 election cycles some of the worst Americans that I could nominate to run the country. There is something going on. Why can we not get a sane, stable, predictable human being through the primaries on both sides anymore? I think most people on this forum could. But as a nation we don't. Everyone I talk to that is non military thinks about the same. They might be a democrat, they might be a conservative. But to a man and woman they all agree that Trump and Biden were not good choices. So why are they ending up on the general election ticket? This is why election fraud is getting the attraction that it is enjoying. I don't believe there is fraud enough to overturn an election. I could be dead wrong, but I haven't seen the evidence. So if its not election fraud, what is it? Who is being represented in the elections? Its not me. At the local level, the person that is sitting in the seat makes sense to me. Here are their credentials, here is their background, here is why they are sitting there. Even if its a democrat, I can explain to anyone that asks how they got there. I can't explain this at the national level. I hang out with a truckload of conservatives. Every one of us says Trump should never made it into office. Always did. How did he take our party? And why is the RNC allowing it to continue? There is a huge WTF going on.1 point

But the spoke-persons for the democrat party, i.e. the media, will never call Brandon on his outright lies. Trump's bullshit statements were breathlessly reported and repeated 24/7 along with comments regarding suitability for the office. But Mr. Top in his law class, 3 degrees, plagerized speeches, stormed the beaches of Normandy, and inventor of the semi-colon gets a free pass.1 point

https://www.cnbc.com/2022/12/19/gen-z-on-new-college-and-career-plans-in-post-roe-america.html I cant have an abortion for convenience so I want to move to another country. It's a lot cheaper to wear a condom. Why is the USA so infatuated with getting abortions? Did George Washington fight for abortions? If I fry up an endangered sea turtle egg and put it into my breakfast burrito, I'll go to federal prison. Most of the people fighting to remove defenseless humans from a woman's body will be the same people lynching me for eating that burrito. Are they too stupid to see the irony in this?1 point

Of course they did. But that's the point, isn't it? Are we really prioritizing that type of conflict? We don't have the luxury of another, better country picking up our slack while we toy around with a dying empire. It's super neat watching a plane land vertically (but not take off vertically...). But it's fucking stupid for the US to prioritize that capability, to the great detriment of the more-relevant capabilities of the A and C models. We could barely fund enough of these planes during the most financially permissive environment in modern history. It's very possible we have austerity measures soon. But our Argentina-like foes will be suitably humbled I'm sure. Marine leadership, like nearly all government leadership, are unserious people in increasingly serious times.1 point

In the Air Force you’re actually a finance officer first, a personnelist second, a logistics officer third, an amateur pharmacist fourth, a security forces officer fifth, a lawyer sixth, and a pilot, oh, I dunno, maybe tenth?, twelfth? Because….all of the people who are supposed to be doing all that other shit have gone home for the day by the time you’re back from your flight.1 point

Personally I don't care if they're a former felon. You can risk analyze that all you want but the data also says that felons are more likely to recidivate when they are denied gainful employment and reintegration into society. Who the fuck is going to go from a white collar employee, lawyer, or pilot to being a lawn care worker? Without the concept of redemption in our culture it means no one is better than their worst day. That's a sad world because it ignores the fact that many of us grow as humans and become more phenomenal the longer we are on earth.1 point
