  1. Yeah, my CC just went on leave as well...but I'm manifesting it any way I can! No need to assume you haven't made it yet. But the moment I see someone post on here that they were informed, I expect we're all gunna reach out lol. Leave or no leave Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk

  2. I've never known AFPC to meet a suspense, either their own or an external one.

  3. Once again, the ATF gets called out on their unconstitutional bans. Hopefully the FRT is soon to follow. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-appeals-court-strikes-down-ban-bump-stocks-2023-01-07/

  8. Sorry, I was unclear. I didn't mean that he was quick to cry. I meant that he was a careerist twat who would do anything to stay in the spotlight. That's his public persona as far as I can tell, and that's what his squadron mate confirmed.

  9. So best I can tell you can not go back and get the bonus now that the year is over. However, you can sign a bonus under the assumption you will get a years worth of orders (small bonus only I think) in the future. So once you get a years worth of orders (after signing the bonus at the beginning of that year) you then just submit the orders as proof. As always read up on the bonus paperwork and talk with your AvB SME.

  12. Yes, that was my point, but without the negative implication. At the low end of the industry, PIC = FAR 61.51 PIC. If you are looking at low end CFI or banner flying jobs and they ask you for your PIC, you give them the FAR 61.51 number, including sole manipulator. If you're applying at FedEx, they will specify that you only give them the I-signed-for-the-aircraft number. To your original question… You’ll probably have 300-400 hours when you finish UPT and training. Your clearest path to aviation industry profit after UPT is to whore yourself out to every TDY, deployment, and exercise you can to get 750 on the .mil dime, no matter your airframe. Once you get 750, go to a regional and the path from there is pretty well established. If you want to go a non-airline route, there are many, many paths through the woods. They're much less established and will take networking legwork, but they can certainly be more interesting than DFW-OKC.

  13. So here's my logic... Last year's (2021) application due date was Oct 5th, and the results were sent to commanders January 11th, with the official release on PSDM January 18th open to all members to view. This last year's board application due date was Oct 4th (2022), so if using the same timeline, the date commanders would be notified would land on January 10th with it posted on the 17th on PSDM. Also, the member who commented a while ago who actually posts the results on PSDM said 2.5 - 3 weeks from when the board made their decisions (Dec 20th) is when they are expecting to post it. Jan 10th would be the 3 week mark, so..... Using all that overanalysis, and knowing what I know about the AF, I'm watching my CC reeeeaaal hard starting tomorrow [emoji28] Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk

  14. If "hairdresser at Walmart" didn't signal an immediate greenlight for extramarital butthole pleasures, the dueling foot tattoos are a reliable source of secondary confirmation.

  16. After Benjamin Harrison denied South Dakota it’s rightful place ahead of those godless heathens to their north in 1889 with his Dakota Territory statehood stunt (https://time.com/4377423/dakota-north-south-history-two/), we will finally settle it on the gridiron for the National Championship! North Dakota State and South Dakota State play on Sunday for the FCS National Title for the first time ever. The two schools have played each other 113 times in their histories (and have one of the best traveling trophies in college football https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dakota_Marker) but never for all the marbles. Tune in Sunday! I’ll be the drunk one in the Blue.

  17. Nooo, I have no idea what you could possibly mean. when we bugged out for the Iranian TBMs 3 years ago, we had a CSO find a secret kneeboard accidentally stashed in his go bag. His first reaction— he ate it.

  18. Lloyd, I think we're all on the same page. Nobody is advocating for abortion and deadbeat dads. We're highlighting the hypocrisy of this issue in America. A woman can kill her unborn child and go to Applebee's right after. She's not held to the same standard as a man who doesn't want his child. If a drunk driver kills a pregnant woman and her child, they can charge the drunk driver for 2 counts. Why is one murder/manslaughter and the the other not? That is the question.

  20. JAG friend. "Her take." Volumes right there. I'm not an INDOPACOM expert, sounds like you actually are, but the second you mentioned a JAG, I turned the volume down. I found that if you are in a shooting match, which we are not with INDOPACOM, but if you find yourself in one of those, the JAG is the furthermost concern from your mind. Honest question, when has a JAG ever produced any kind of execute value info? If one of your troops are in trouble all a JAG can do is offer you a laundry list of horseshit info that is highly invaluable. They can't tell you to do anything, all they can do is offer their advice. Which is a laundry list of horseshit info that your wing commander is going to tell you, no we're not going to do that. And the ADC pads their resume. JAGs love to get into ROE discussions. Because they are not accountable for people's lives. JAGs are some of the most useless creatures I've seen in the AF. Besides Navs and WSOs of course.
