These are the same people who think 16-year-olds should be able to vote and 10-year-olds should be able to have life- altering gender surgeries.10 points

Couldn't find a good thread to put this in, so I'll put it here. Went to my 1st grader's art night...great to see her happy, but you can imagine how "amazing" all the art was with indistinguishable blobs, cats, flowers, etc. But then, I came around the corner and saw this masterpiece...this kid is fucking going somewhere!8 points

2020 BLM/Antifa riots: $2B+ in damages, 100s of small businesses completely destroyed, 100s more w/ significant damage, 700+ LEO assaulted/injured, 20-30 people dead…0 hearings and 0 ounce of give a fuck by congress/MSM. J6: $150M in damages, 0 small business affected, 80-100 LEO assaulted/injured, 1 dead…full up congressional commission and 6.9 billion ounces of congressional/MSM outrage and vitriol. I‘m not excusing the actions of some on J6 or arguing that this comparison means J6 wasn’t a thing. But people need to understand why it is very rational to view these facts, combined with constant censorship attempts/demands, and conclude there is some very fucked up, shady shit going on in our country. Those of you trying to shut someone down because they don’t share your generally MSM-approved viewpoint need to open the aperture. Personally I look at this and all the info I can find and conclude J6 was a thing, it was not even remotely what the Dems/MSM have tried to make it out to be, and the gov/MSM has no credibility when they ignore 2020, but are frothing at the mouth regarding J6.4 points

I'm talking about the thousands of people smashing in windows, destroying police barricades, assaulting police, vandalizing the capitol.. you know.. literally every other video of the event aside from tucker's super sweet 5 minute compilation. But you're probably right I don't know what violence is, I'm just a soy boy cuck. Not a big strong stone cold killer marine like you 😂 Do you hear how you're coming across right now? Here's a hint:3 points

Our speculation on on verbal jujitsu versus cowardly disorganization is irrelevant; the January 6 congressional committee should have investigated why the capitol police were unable to effectively protect the capital. Unfortunately, because of Democrats playing politics, the investigation was a complete sham. Indisputable. So instead Tucker Carlson has investigated, and say what you will about his motives, he is adding important facts and witnesses and video to the discussion. Everybody should be in favor of that, instead, Democrats are trying to censor him. Similarly, Republicans have started an investigation into Covid origins. Democrats did not do that for years and actively censored the public from knowing facts. I sense a theme here.2 points

I wish this was a joke. “because the brain is not fully developed.” If you haven’t developed a sense of morality by age 18, what’s another 7 years going to do? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Then you get idiots like MTG who are actively advocating for shit like that and it really makes you wonder, doesn't it?1 point

The f*ck are you talking about? I'm guessing you've never had to hurt or kill someone. I'm guessing you're in the camp that think "words" can be violence as well.1 point

I need to see FULL pictures to make an assessment. From the mugshot, it seems like she could be either a fat chick or hot. That would determine how much beer to bring with me. Nevertheless, she is better looking than most of the ladies I remember working in the cafeteria.1 point

I agree with the decrying of polarization, but this is revisionist history. Identity politics can be traced back to the 60's and 70's and have been incubated by far left (Marxist and progressive circles) for decades. Clinton was the last Democratic president who could be considered "liberal" instead of "progressive," whereas the Obamas were completely and proudly progressive. Joe isn't anything but an idiot, but his staff are all loyal Obama adherents. The "far right" identarians would be the white nationalists I guess, but the difference is the establishment right, Republicans, have never embraced the theories or promoters of white nationalism, whereas the left, Democrats, still heroize the grifters of critical race theory and their new scam, "equity." What you are seeing on the right is the response to unfairness. Fear, rage, and a retreat to tribalism. The tribe can be anything, but since the attacks from the left have been focused on race, the tribe of being white is seeing a resurgence. That should have been obvious when Obama said Trayvon Martin could have been his son. The Right's last unrighteous cause was the restrictions against gay couples. That fight is over, the Republicans lost, though curiously the most alarmist claims about the gay rights movement targeting children seems to have come true, if you accept that the trans movement is a branch of the gay rights movement. Either way, Republicans have not made an explicit claim that we are not, in fact, equal. Democrats have, and we are paying for it more each day.1 point

A whole lot of us in Eucom at the time we’re waiting while one of our poorest foreign policy leaders dithered and conducted poll’ing. The media narrative of “little green men” paralyzed us resolve combined with an IO campaign that it was a populist revolt by locals, because we couldn’t prove to the average person what the smart people in the room knew, that those were Russian troops from VDV and Spetz units. By the time our administration got off its ass to “do something” the Russians had all the key terrain and the Ukrainian military of them was not the military of today (a decade of FID/training saw to that). Also geographically Crimea is a much smaller operation than trying to take a region the size of Massachusetts (vs a country of 40+ million people that is the size of Texas). If we had responded militarily to it we would have been executing a joint forcible entry scenario to restore Crimea. And we’d have largely been doing it alone considering how Merkle ran her seat at the NATO table. We thought repositioning rotational troops and throwing some sanctions on the Russians would be enough to deter further aggression, but the whole time we prepared the Uke’s in case it failed. And yes failing to act then was one of our dumber mistakes and another big show of why Obama was a pretty awful leader in the form of foreign policy, and we all owe Mitt a public apology. Similar to where the Republicans were in 2016. I’m so tired of these parties and politicians running against something/someone rather than passionately advocating for their own platforms and ideas. And pundits like Carlson get an equal share of the blame (yeah, plenty of the CNN/MSNBC crowd does the same….this discussion is about the little bow tie boy for now). If he gave a shit about making this country a better place, he’d spend more time telling you why DeSantis or Haley make the best candidate, and less time getting you outraged at whatever perceived atrocity the other side has committed most recently. He doesn’t. He cares about ratings and being filthy rich (he’s worth $420M. His salary is $35M). Hell, even Rupert Murdoch admits he’s a shill but he’ll never be fired because he makes Fox too much money. Fuck Tucker and everyone like him.1 point

I've reached that viewpoint based on the body of his coverage of Jan 6th which seeks to generally minimize and downplay the severity of the event. As a result, he latches onto anything, no matter how small, which feeds that narrative. This video is just the most recent example. Putting aside that this is a 5 minute compilation in a sea of violence and mayhem, there are plenty of non-conspiracy explanations for why the cops were nice to buffalo guy for 5 minutes. -the capitol is a large building and the cops in the video didn't know what was happening yet -this occurred early prior to violence breaking out -they were vastly outnumbered surrounded by thousands of rioters I find the third explanation particularly convincing. Put yourself in their shoes. You're a low rent cop in a building that's already been evacuated and now you're surrounded by 10,000 maga nutcases. Do you: a) be nice to them and prevent escalation b) start unloading with your service weapon, guaranteeing a panic, and probably get trampled/assaulted to death c) arrest buffalo guy and march out the front door.. and probably get trampled/assaulted to death If I was a betting man, Id say most of the cops left in the building by the time it was breached.. at least the smart ones.. went with option A. Pop quiz: what are the first two things they teach you in the hostage portion of SERE? -Do and say everything you can to avoid being killed immediately -build rapport1 point

Can you give one example of a nuclear armed country getting desperate and using nukes? I can think of an example where a Russian speaking empire, armed to the gills with nukes, went through an economic collapse and didn't nuke anyone. And of course doesn't rule out of the alternative, but you just made a declarative statement about what desperate, nuclear armed nations do, based on nothing at all.1 point

We've sent $75 billion of aid total, and that includes near-expired or obsolete equipment and ammunition donated at book value. The war is almost certainly a net positive for the US economy - Europe is buying gas from us instead of the Russians, the developing world is getting their grain from Iowa instead of Ukraine, and the entire world is buying American military hardware instead of post Soviet crap or indigenously developed "better than nothing" gear.1 point

Agreed. I think it's disingenuous to call it an "armed insurrection", but I think it's equally disingenuous to dismiss it as "peaceful tourists". It was clearly a riot, not dissimilar from the ones the right was screaming about through the summer of 2020. Not an insurrection, but clearly criminal behavior.1 point

Great bro, do you own research. Hey somebody let the DIA know we don’t need them anymore. Nothing to learn that can’t be found out on dubious YouTube/Reddit posts of some guy shouting from the cab of a truck. Remember “experts” are the ones that told you gasoline is toxic to humans… better question that now because Covid. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk1 point

After seeing just a few clips of the January 6th footage that came out today, Adam Kinzinger needs to rot in hell. You know he had all this info from the Jan 6th Committee. He stood by and watched fellow veterans being persecuted by their government. Absolute piece of shit. I would refuse to share a cockpit with him.1 point

I was in the room when somebody asked Chief Friel (now CW5 but then pilot of the 47 that crash landed down the mountain) if he would have done anything differently. His response was had he known then he wasn’t going to be much use he’d have shut it down on the LZ and put himself and his crews into the fight with the rangers. There’s also a random civilian guy that works the ramp at SOATB on Campbell Army Airfield. Unassuming guy who runs blade tie downs and stuff out in a golf cart. You’d never know he has a silver star for his work pulling ammo from the wrecked aircraft and taking it in belts up the mountain to resupply the ground force gunners from their 240 ammo. https://www.cnn.com/2023/03/05/politics/biden-student-loan-forgiveness-scotus/index.html I'm laughing at humans "But if you talk to someone who comes from poverty, or someone who’s a person of color, they are going to benefit from the forgiveness program the most because they’re the ones that have to jump through extra financial hoops in order to get where everyone else in the educated country is,” he said -. The people of color will benefit more? Lol. Fuck this guy. I know I'm beating a dead horse but how much more of this racist shit do I have to listen too? "His parents, immigrants from Mexico, couldn’t afford to help him pay for college. Enriquez was wait-listed at a state school that had a meteorology program, so he instead enrolled at a more expensive school out of state. He is now pursuing a master’s degree, which he felt he needed to stand out in a competitive industry." He "felt" he needed.... Well Mr Enriquez, do you know what's funny? I too couldn't afford school (working class parents), but instead of taking out a student loan, I joined the fucking military. I flew in combat, got to invade a country, lost a wife or two, lost some people I considered friends, spent most of my life gone or on alert. Guess what I didn't have to do? Ask uncle Biden for a handout. I have zero sympathy for these clowns. I really do. I have none.1 point

So, on 1 March, I think, Col George Gray directed the aircraft under his control to begin looking for Spirit 03. On 4 March Myself and a couple of other guys were selected to go up on two H-3s belonging to the 71st SOS out of AZ. We weren't having much luck until an HC-130P called and said they saw something orange in the water just off shore, it was a 20 man life raft. They vectored us to the area and we found the crash site in shallow water. I identified the 105mm gun along with some other pieces of the airplane. When we got back to KFIA I drew a sketch of the debris that I could make out. The next day I'm on an H-3 headed back to the site along with a Pave Low carrying CCT and PJ divers. We landed on the beach adjacent to the crash site. The Navy had a small pontoon type vessel there waiting for us. They ferried our divers out over the wreckage. Meanwhile I was walking the beach and found a flight jacket and a helmet belonging to two of the crewmembers. Finding those two items and knowing the dudes they belonged to was surreal. I carried them back to the helicopter and put them in my bag. I later turned them over to the investigation team. Back at the chopper I'm sitting on the ramp having a smoke when the CCT dude on the radio said the divers found "software". I didn't know what that meant until he told me, human remains. It hit me who those remains had to be. It was cold that day and the divers were shivering when they came back to shore. But they kept going back out to pick up as much as they could. They filled three body bags. The first two went back on the H-3. An hour later we're leaving on the Pave with the last bag. An hour flight back to KFIA smelling that bag of guts that were my brothers.1 point

At least Brits value being witty and gifted with oratory (that’s max performing an STS) instead of whatever MTG, Lauren Boebert and the like are going for. I’m not even talking about policy, it’s just annoying behavior. And all these MP’s at least dressed like they belong and not like they’re trying to track down 101 Dalmatians to make a new coat like that moron.1 point

Only because the GOP played politics and filibustered the proposed 50/50 joint commission, even though that proposal passed the House vote 252–175. We would have been much better off with a joined commission.-1 points
