oh no you don't...we KNEW pretty early on that covid was statistically a non event for young, healthy people. and turns out Fauci and his buddies at Pfizer KNEW it didn't prevent the spread...we were told straight up lies and coerced into taking a shot that provides zero protection and is very harmful...latest numbers i heard were 1 in 800 have side effects. that is a very high number and this shot should NEVER have been MANDATED. so don't give me this 20/20 bullshit....the warnings were being issued very early on but FUCKING CENSORED7 points

The progressive arm of the Dem party are the most regressive group in our history. I can’t think of another time we actually went drastically backwards in American society. By the way, dems are calling for segregated classrooms, etc. in 2023…they’ve literally regressed past 60 years of societal advancement.4 points

A whistleblower alleges DOJ and the FBI have an unclassified document that describes a criminal scheme between Joe Biden WHEN HE WAS THE SITTING VICE PRESIDENT and a foreign national. FOXNEWS, NY Post and the National Review are the only ones reporting on it so far (shocking I know). "The document, an FBI-generated FD-1023 form, allegedly details an arrangement involving an exchange of money for policy decisions." A question for our liberal friends on the forum, given the anal probe the FBI, the House and the main stream media gave Trump over the dossier, don't you think this should at least be investigated and reported on?3 points

It’s kinda like Jonestown as an analogy. A whole lot of people were willing to drink the Kool-Aid…. Some people were so crazy they were willing actually Make it… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Don't act hostile towards others and you won't have appropriate actions taken against you. People need to remember that actions have consequences. Not glad that homeless criminal died, but if he wasn't acting that way it wouldn't have happened.2 points

There's a lot more going on here than the news story covers. At the base of which is that these urban police departments refuse to patrol their metro systems. 6 months ago we are berating passengers for standing by doing nothing while a woman is assaulted (and another one raped in Philadelphia) but now we want to denigrate someone who did do something in the only way he knew how. If there's any anger over this situation is misplaced at the bystander and needs to be directed at the city that is turning the daily commute for 90% of it's residence into a Purge movie. If you haven't seen this video before, its going to trigger anger. The genuine fear in this poor woman's eyes... https://youtu.be/44-IpvZRfAw2 points

No, I assume he did not intend to kill that criminal. He responded in kind, unarmed.1 point

Sucks the "houseless" (nice that my spellcheck says that's not a word by the way) dude died, but he was not an innocent party. As others have said, actions have consequences. I feel far less sympathy towards him than I would have for some actually innocent girl that he may have assaulted a minute later. Funny thing about crazy people acting crazy; you never know when their behavior will go from very concerning to lethal. Sucks the Marine had to go through this, but also reassuring that we still have guys with the balls to intervene in a situation they see as dangerous. The Marine may have gone too far, but tough to judge without being in his shoes. Would have been worse if the "houseless" dude acting in an aggressive manner suddenly pulled a knife and killed someone when an obviously capable individual could have prevented it. Finally, the first report is always inaccurate. Was it a forearm across the throat hold or a sleeper hold? I would bet most of the witnesses don't remember (if they even knew the difference in the first place) and the reporter sure doesn't know the difference. Also, were there drugs in the dude's system? I bet this Marine has trained with that hold on fellow Marines in the MCMAP with no ill effects, so his previous experience likely told him he was simply subduing the "houseless" guy.1 point

Absolutely! Definitely put the chief of police and mayor on trial for murder and for abdicating their duties to protect citizens! 100% agree with you.1 point

I’d just like to point out literally none of those masks is anything but a cloth napkin…. The president isn’t wearing an N95 compliant mask… neither is the 2nd in line in our chain of succession. So besides optics what the F was the point. It’s like they literally think we are too stupid to notice them not obeying the made up rules. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

"Houseless" man who has been arrested more than 40 times for assault and the like was choked out on subway while harassing riders and ultimately ended up dying. Twitter is full of subway riders commenting on how he has attacked them in the past. AOC takes this chance to defend the man and..... https://twitter.com/AOC/status/1653880169516466178?s=201 point

It’s a damn shame to be pushing these young aviators to be flight leads at 500 hrs with a young co/pi fresh out of Rucker while flying Red illumination NVGs training missions. Damn dangerous shit Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app1 point

denigrating an alleged rape victim because her trauma isn't traumatic enough for you or fits your personal threshold is a new low.1 point

@WTFAF As I’ll continue to say, if we were as bad at our jobs as they are at theirs, there’d be about 5 pilots over 25 yo still alive, and the Euro “air show-only” air forces would look like rockstar tacticians compared to us. Thank God we actually give a fuck about succeeding and not being miserable failures.1 point

Dude I'm sorry that happened. Sucks. But I think it says something about the value of PME if commanders aren't willing to prioritize funds for people to attend. If the AF doesn't think it holds value why should we?1 point

The first person to cut their dick off in the pool of applicants will definitely be the next CSAF.1 point

That was the path CQB followed (7AF->PACAF->CSAF) but its a bit of a jump to suggest that experience as a PACAF or even a USAFE CC yields a thorough understanding of the theater logistics. Under US doctrine we decouple most of the logistics functions from the geographic elements under geographic combatant commanders. So why Ramstein does have some USAFE C-130s at its disposal, their nesting is designed more to support commander priorities that would be otherwise ignored by TRANSCOM who is planning at a global level. So for example, if you are going to perform a JFEO as the USAFE Commander, you would probably want to use your C-130s rather than petitioning TRANSCOM to add it somewhere in their list of priorities--to which you would get a response that's something like: "we will deliver 1/4 of your troops next week, and then a few more the week after, and then the rest the week after that." Well that's not really how JFEOs work..... so clearly that's not really useful. When hiring at the executive level, competence becomes less of an issue because almost all of our O9/10s are probably competent to lead HQ AF. Heck, probably even a few high speed O8s. They have decades of experience in organizational leadership by this point. So a more important facet that comes into play, in my opinion anyway, is suitability/fit. Who is the right commander to lead right now? Specifically, who has the expertise to solve a pressing problem, and be able to articulate that problem to congress in a detailed enough manner that they can secure money for it. At the end of the day, the CSAF's role is to get money. That is really all he/she is--a sales person.1 point

A chokehold is never a good idea, and while the Marine who did so won't be charged, there was no reason in this instance to use it. The guy was yelling at passengers and throwing trash, but that still doesn't justify using what the DOJ has determined to be a potentially lethal tactic... As for AOC, she's just being her usual ass hat self...-1 points

I don't think most of us who you would call "vax enthusiasts" were going "rah rah mandates are amazing, get your 69th booster or we're all gonna die." Can only speak personally but it was more of the sentiment that when you join the military you sign some of your autonomy away. They can literally order you to go die for your country. Last I checked that's bad for your health. So it's pretty silly to act surprised and upset when they make you get a shot. Not to mention, the "my body is a temple" argument doesn't hold much water when no one says shit about: -the even sketchier anthrax shot -the statistically unlikely to work yearly flu shots -the malaria pills that cause lasting risk of birth defects -the go and no go pills proven to cause dependency that are prescribed like candy to bump up mission durations stopgap the regular obliteration of your circadian rhythm -the culture of concealing actual problems from doctors to preserve flying status So forgive me if it came across a bit like a political crusade. But the fun part is now we all have the benefit of hindsight 20/20. We now know covid isn't particularly dangerous for unvaxxed healthy young people and we also know the vaxxed aren't dying in droves from some hypothetical late-onset side effect. Turns out neither were that dangerous.-4 points
