  1. Quote from an EWO, early 90s "Can I dance with your date? Mine has a dick"

  2. Yeah you can do what you want until it starts to negatively impact others. That's where my libertarian limit ends. People want their daughters to get a fair shake in sports not dominated by records set by biological dudes. It's pretty telling when a male swimmer barely in the top 1,000 "transitions" and becomes a record setting destroyer of worlds, obliterating the competition by entire pool lengths and immediately claiming national titles. Ffs democrats created title IX to carve out an equal space for girls sports in the first place.

  4. You haven’t lived until you’ve failed to convince a drunk bro that it’s a dude, he then “discovers” that fact on his own, and runs away screaming “it’s a dude!” back to your side of the bar. Pretty standard South Pacific TDY back in the day!

  5. Multiple teenagers beat some NYC subway riders just a few days later and put some of them in the hospital. Zero charges filed. This Marine's "crime" fits the political narrative, so he's being charged. That's the one and only reason. Unfortunately, most people who could and would help bystanders in the future will be far more reluctant to do so now and it's hard to blame them. The cops are apparently only there (if/when they're there at all) to arrest people after the fact IF they think the politically minded DA will press charges.

  6. Let’s be honest here, bone smugglers, trannies, gender fluid, are all clowns in the same circus. We all knew where this was heading even if some people had their heads buried somewhere. This was the logical destination from the start with the entire alphabet crew and our “live and let live” attitude on throwing out community impacting norms. The research in anthropology, sociology, psychology, and medicine all show the negative impact to individuals, communities and societies when deviant lifestyles/actions are tolerated. And, we’re way past tolerance into full blown encouragement. Ygtbsm

  7. I mostly lurk on here but feel compelled to comment on this foolish post. You don’t have to “care about women’s sports” to actually care about women in this country and to ensure they can work, play, shower, congregate without the presence of men’s genitals in their locker rooms. 5 years ago, I would have said of course we ALL want that for our sisters, girlfriends, wives, moms….how is it even possible that I can’t say that today? The let “…other people live their lives “ argument made above is utter nonsense. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app

  8. Irrelevant, red herring argument. If we want to go somewhere and needed everybody, we’d do it, period. Exhibit B: entire navy ship goes NMC for a week because their 100% vaxxed crew all got COVID…but they all were green on a slide, how could this happen! Making an argument based on green slides and appeasing country X is nonsensical.

  9. If we really wanted to stop this nonsense, we would get every single male athlete, who isn’t good enough to play D1 athletics to identify as a female and soak up every single female athletic scholarship. Watch how fast that narrative would change. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app

  12. Been on BO.net for a long time. I got roasted here back in 2010-2011 for supporting the Defense of Marriage Act. My point was, the left was never looking to just allow gay couples who had been together forever the right to marry. They weren’t going to stop with just removing law that stated marriage was between one man and one woman. I saw this coming. Look where we are now after just a decade. You have to draw a line somewhere. One man and one woman made the most sense to me. Still does.

  13. I was having a rough time in 2021. I wasn't feeling 100% healthy in the mind. During this time, my mom let me know that she found a news clipping that my Grandfather wanted her to read to me over 30 years ago. It fell out if a book randomly. He's the one who got me into aviation. The universe does some weird shit sometimes.

  14. Did you file online? If so, log in here and go under 'SUBMITTED/IN PROCESS' https://eforms.atf.gov/ You can also track the average turnaround dates here... https://www.atf.gov/resource-center/current-processing-times Right now paper Form 1s are averaging 45 days, electronic ones 40... Remember, if you filed under ATF Final Rule 2021R-08F, you are "in compliance" once you filed so you don't have to worry about the 31 May 2023 deadline!

  17. The right honestly needs to do more of this. Republicans identifying as silly nonsense is not only fun, but a good way to expose leftist intersectional lunacy. I think we've been trying to reasonably debate this stuff for a long time with people who can't be reasoned with. Maybe turning their own rules against them is the way to go. Imagine the dem conniption that would ensue if trump retroactively identified as a trans, lesbian/demisexual, black woman, with xe/xzer pronouns for the duration of his 2016-2020 presidency. Then claim every intersectional "first" for the presidency imaginable. And then when they accuse him of faking to make a point he can just shout them down for denying his truth. I so so badly want this to be a thing

  23. Good read (yes it’s NYT…Still, very well written and reasoned). Would encourage those here who are concerned about escalation of the war to read with an open mind. There are myriad reasons that appeasing Putin’s nuclear threats are a bad idea, not the least of which is that the threat itself becomes a weapon Putin can use at will to get what he wants. This essay expounds on that idea & makes a good case for holding the line against Russian threats. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/05/09/opinion/russia-war-ukraine-nuclear.html

  24. Says the guy on long term mloa... But seriously, do what Brabus said. You may actually find that being a DSG is just way mo betta. I just finished 6 months of full time MLOA and it was like dragging my balls through a mile of broken glass...FT just isn't for me. Being within 6 years of an AGR retirement makes that a tougher call. If you want orders, you'll get them, especially if you're willing to travel. We have one guy on indefinite orders at USAFE and we just got an e-mail asking if anyone wants indefinite orders at Hickam. We get requests all the time asking for bodies to fill orders.

  25. I maybe can understand that sentiment for some Russian 19 year old that was forcibly conscripted. The scumbags in the video I posted were part of Wagner, a private military company (mercenaries) that are all volunteers. No one forced them to join shit. Even the mass of convicted criminals recruited out of prison had a choice to stay in prison or volunteer to fight in Ukraine. Wagner employees routinely commit atrocities across the countries they conduct missions in. How anyone would feel sorry for any of them is beyond me.

  26. War is horrific...simply horrific. I remember my first few missions and the metric of success was always the number. We count everything, crap many of us growing up who dreamed of flying wanted to be an Ace because we thought that was the top of the glorified pyramid. In time and as I flew more missions and my "number" became stupidly high...(on one misisons I killed 32 men in 8 minutes)...I had to stop counting. Yes they were evil people who deserved to die but it was still someone's brother, father, son, cousin...and I didn't want to surrender my humanity in the process. I PRAY my son never has to see the horror of war. While I cheer the Ukrainians it is not lost on me that the ones dying are not that ones that caused this horror. Yes the Russian troops are committing atrocities but this is not a simple good vs bad situation and a lot of young men and women (and innocents), are dying because of a diabolical human in Moscow. I hope Ukraine kicks the snot out of the Russians and they flee back to Russia and I hope it all ends right there. At the end of the day we all do our duty, and I did it very well, but we don't have the celebrate the carnage

  27. If you truly feel like you have more in common with some guy from ISIS who's supportive of child brides, slavery, executions, torture ect than you do with some obnoxious American citizen working at Home Depot than I'm not sure we're having the same conversation. I don't believe WMD in Iraq or politicians in DC are relevant to the topic at hand. My statement/sentiment still stands.

  28. That's nice. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the average Ukrainian solider doesn't have a huge amount in common with some Wagner scumbag that volunteered to fight in Putin's war so they could get released early from prison for whatever murder/rape/theft charge they were in for. I'm also pretty sure that I have very little to nothing in common with Al Qaeda, the Taliban, or ISIS; I'm glad I did my part to help turn some of them into fertilizer. As I stated previously, good looking Wagnerites in that video/glad they're gonna be pushing up daisies.

  30. Years ago I was a guest of the FSB (former KGB), on a formal senior military exchange and had several official meetings (and an epic lunch meeting which included shots of vodka and cognac), at their headquarters in Moscow. They have what was at the time a classified museum in the headquarters and I was given a private tour. I asked and was allowed to take this picture. In the case is wreckage from Francis Gary Powers U-2, his pressure suit, items he was carrying and a portion of his parachute.

  31. Pass. I already think Fauci is a douche. That doesn't change the fact that the vaccines did drastically reduce the lethality of Covid among those most susceptible. I never wanted broad mandates for all Americans. I recognized that the president had the authority to make the military take the vaccine. That's very different than demanding the unvaccinated be kicked out of restaurants, schools, stores, hospitals, etc.

  32. Well considering the fact that you can't just say "I identify as female" and play in NCAA female events, good luck with that. NCAA requires at least 1 year of documented testoterone suppression treatment as well as proof they are below the required level for female events. I think you'll be hard pressed to find people to do that just for a "gotcha". Probably because most people don't give a shit about how other people want to live their lives. But go ahead and keep on pretending like you care about women's sports 👌
