Have you not read any of the reports and investigations. POTUS can't (and shouldn't), force those efforts...especially when lower levels in the system conceal the evidence. At numerous levels the FBI was ACTIVELY working against Trump and they covered up evidence. I get it, they didn't like him, I don't either but they let that bleed over and crush their ethics. Again...the FBI FALSIFIED FISA warrants...they KNEW the dossier was fake and didn't tell anyone...they had a copy of the laptop and helped promote a narrative that the story was false...and they had the memo on Biden but none of that made it to Wray and Barr. The first three items are all facts...are you cool that they suppressed these items? Dude at the end of the day I want Trump to go away and if the latest deal takes him out of play...cool beans, but there is some serious rot in the FBI and it helped sway an impeachment, an election and it is potentially covering for a corrupt POTUS.3 points

The reason why liberals live in liberal cities and states is because the “Takers” outnumber the “ Makers”. The MAKERS are taxed more, their businesses and success are ostrisized by the Left and their wealth is targeted by the Left, so they leave. The Takers, stay because they are the recipients of Democrat largess. Show me a City or State that’s better off under Democrat rule. I travel the country all the time. Cities like San Fran, NY, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, are all in decline, and rapidly in the last 5 years…all run by Democrats. NSplayer, I’m glad you hope to live back in the City…Hope you and your family will be safe..I know in NY today, none of my relatives or friends , all native New Yorkers, even want to visit due to the parade of crimes we see each day on the NY News. Oh, and don’t forget, If you defend yourself on the subway after a psycho criminal threatens to kill you, You may get arrested for it, and they will erect a memorial to the psycho criminal..Fu$#@ng ClownWorld. Liberalism truly is a mental disorder.2 points

Like I said before, leftists and liberals don't care if everything burns down to the ground as long as they get to rule over the ashes. Everything is wonderful, nothing to see here, pay no attention to businesses shutting down. https://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2023/06/14/progressive-decay-another-ominous-sign-for-san-francisco-n26244412 points

The truth is slowly coming out and it appears the Chinese no longer give a F@ck if they are blamed. Covid: Top Chinese scientist says don’t rule out lab leak Michael Shellenberger is now reporting with 100% certainty that COVID patient zero was a scientist at the Wuhan Lab. HE has also written articles about Facebook censorship, especially during the Pandemic. He is a former Democrat who ran as an independent for Governor of California, he wrote the book San Fransicko: Why Progressives run Cities, and is an Op Ed contributor to the National Post. Now that many are acknowledging what most assumed to be true all along, what do we do? Do we give China a pass? How do we hold them accountable? What about Fauci?1 point

"I'm not triggered, YOU'RE triggered" Cute. Sad to see that you have no intention of to answering hard questions or engaging in nuanced discussion. I do genuinely want to hear the reasoned arguments behind why people believe liberal agendas, but I guess that won't be coming from you.1 point

Seems pretty obvious that liberals live in these liberal cities, or they wouldn't be liberal cities. I don't know how they see the disaster that is downtown LA and decide to vote for more of the same...but they do.1 point

I’m curious how many of our resident Liberals live in Liberal states and cities paying huge liberal taxes and exposing their families to liberals committing crime with impunity. At my airline, the few liberals amongst us, all preach social justice, equality, compassion etc as they sit ensconced in their safe, well run, low tax Republican States. I grew up in the Bronx, and it’s hard to be liberal when you see their policies and programs crash and burn around you on a daily basis for decades.1 point

Jesus Christ, so much "but her emails" copium in this thread right now. Not a lot of solutions. Here's a wild idea, although it makes too much sense for republicans to actually try it: Let trump go down in flames. Just let him go. If you think this is a big unfair liberal witch hunt or at the very least a terrible double standard, thats the fastest way to fix it. Take this opportunity to divorce yourself from the un-electable clown and get a frontrunner who can actually win. Then when you win in 2024, you can indict Hillary and Hunter and Biden and Kamala and Dylan Mulvaney and Whoopie Goldberg and whoever else you want. This is a massive F-big opportunity for republicans, but they're so blinded by "ITS NOT FAIR" they won't even be able to capitalize. The fastest way to right past wrongs is to get power back and the fastest way to get power back is to dump the criminal lunatic who alienated more people than have ever voted in history into choosing the senile houseplant. We've been over this in this thread before. Why is the mainstream media running near-constant hit pieces on Desantis even though he trails trump in every poll? Why is trump exclusively targeting Desantis? Say it with me all together now: Because. He's. The. Candidate. They're. Actually. Worried. About.1 point

Yeah, you're not wrong. I fall into the "I don't know shit about investing" category. But... mainly on other airline websites... I read posts where pilots get on their high horse and admonish other pilots for their "need" to have an 85 hour month. Or they bad mouth this and that, and tell us how smart they are for doing X or Y. And if it works for them, I'm happy for them. But lecturing others is poor form. Some pilots are living on the edge of their finances because they are taking care of a parent suffering from dementia... or devoting their efforts to a special needs child... or dealing with a painful and costly divorce. Some have sick spouses that require treatments that exhaust life savings. Life is tough for many people. And before someone starts pontificating on how other pilots should be saving for college and how they should be more careful with their money... then they should stop... give thanks to God that they are not in a bad situation... and simply pray that others can find a way to become financially secure. Frankly, no financial advice given on this forum is going to make a difference. As such... I will shut my fucking piehole before I offer my less-than-sage wisdom on the subject.1 point

I think they're busy at work designing the next software that will make life even harder on the force (pex 2.0, dts 6.9, mypay 2020???). We have a few guys trying to retire right now and myFSS certainly isn't helping their blood pressure. I'm within a month of retirement and thankfully I submitted, and received, my retirement order before the switchover. But now I'm trying to get my early retirement stuff finalized before I lose my CAC, but something that only took a few weeks years ago, now is on month 4. Reason? myFSS switchover (supposedly). Yay, "advancement..." How is myEval 2.0 working out? I've said it numerous times on here, very few "improvements" the AF has rolled out over my 22 years has actually helped me. Mostly it's just dumped the duties of others onto me and has caused me to spend more and more time doing admin, and less time on my real job. Get off my lawn!1 point

I don't know where you went to college or what you majored in, but I thought slacademics was a lot easier than college. But that was just me. The point is that you probably don't need to study ahead for academics, but you might want to start looking through the Dash 1 during academics because you will have a bunch of free time. A lot of dudes in my class did this and they did pretty well in Tweets. You can get the Dash 1 immediately when you get to your UPT base - you don't have to wait until a week before academics like you have to in order to get your other books.1 point

As far as getting a dash 1, you will have to wait until you get here and stop by the bookstore and get your pubs. Unless you know someone who has an old one, this is the only way that I know of to get a dash 1. The bookstore does not mail them out to future studs or anything like that. You should have time to study the dash 1 during academics at UPT before you hit the flightline (see post below about studying before UPT), so I won't worry too much about getting the dash 1 before arriving at CBM. Just realize that you are allowed to get the dash 1 the day you arrive at CBM while you have to wait until like 5 days before classes start before you are allowed to pick up the rest of your academic pubs (they don't want people getting an advantage because they arrived here early or something like that)1 point

I think a great way to hurt yourself is to not be prepared when you show up at the IP's desk to brief. Whether that be with a profile, GK, or just an overall mental state. Sometimes people hook a daily ride here and there and big deal, they move on. But the people I've seen here with the biggest problems don't seem to be very motivated and are kind of just making it through. No one has washed out of our class, however. I think there are plenty of people wearing silver wings out there who are not smarter than the average person. But if you have the tenacity to hang on, motivate yourself, study, and make sure you're prepared for stuff all or most of the time, you'll probably make it through. It's not easy, but I also found that there's a lot of hype surrounding the program. It's still a military training program and caters to a certain degree to people who may not "get it" as quickly as others. But keeping your fecal matter consolidated and being sharp go a long way here. One tip - never be self-depricating. Don't call yourself stupid or say you suck or anything like that. Though you might be joking, it's not the way to be and can actually affect you after a while. I say that because I see it happen all the time, and I think it actually causes harm over time. Others might think this is a strange, obscure thing to write about, but I think it's important. Confidence (and humility) also goes a long way here.1 point

I am not an expert, and I probably should be studying right now instead of surfing the internet (or I may be likely to wash out), but here goes: I don't think you can really pin it down to a single reason. I am not an IP, but I have seen a few guys wash out mostly for the same thing - inability to learn and/or stay ahead of the jet to be safe and proficient (I guess that is like 3 reasons). The truth is that it really takes a lot to get forcibly washed out these days. You need to hook like 3 daily rides and go on CAP (flying probation), which means that not only are you hooking rides, but you have manifested to the IP's that you are not studying/trying hard enough, hence the reason you get put on CAP. Next you will probably go through an 86 ride (freebie) to try and catch up or to move onto the next block. If you hook that, you will move onto an 88 ride, which is basically a pre-elimination ride. If you are unlucky or bad enough to hook that, you go onto an 89 elimination ride. Most people hook 86, 88, and 89 rides because they are unable to accept instruction. Part of hooking so many rides may also be due a lack of ability to coordinate your brain and hands to stay ahead of the jet and get all the things done at the speed you need to. Bottom line, you literally have to hook like 5 or 6 rides in a row to get thrown out (hooking a checkride sends you directly to an 88 ride, but they will usually hook you before your checkride if you are not ready, hence giving you the extra remake ride and possible 86 ride before an 88). We had a guy in this situation who went to an 89 ride and passed. Later on he somehow made it back to another 89 ride and passed. He struggled but kept working hard and made it through. Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention. After you hook an 89 ride, you go before a board and try to convince the CC that you really just had a bad day (or 5 bad days in a row) and that you really possess the skills to finish the program. So you get another change to not wash out. I don't know if I answered your question or if I just gave you a dissertation on the elimination process, but I would have to say that having a poor attitude, not accepting instruction, and constantly being behind the jet (perhaps due to lack of natural talent) are the reasons why people wash out. And I’m the one who’s triggered? A little over sensitive/borderline histrionics here man. Sorry you think I’m hateful because I don’t want to engage with your painfully meandering and obtuse arguments. I’ll try and keep your sensitivities in mind in the future.-1 points
