  1. 66 million years ago the earth got hit by a 6 mile wide meteor traveling 12 miles per second. It resulted in 600 mph winds, 300 foot mega tsunamis that obliterated global coastlines, threw 25 trillion metric tons of debris into the atmosphere, which rained back down causing mass wildfires destroying 70% of forests on earth. The impact also caused an explosion the equivalent of 72 trillion tons of tnt which is more than all of the nuclear weapons currently on earth combined. The earth is still here. Still supporting life. But what's really going to determine the future of earth is whether you drive a F-150 or a Prius to work. 🤦🏻‍♂️

  2. Your classic denial is truly sad. So now it is whataboutism when someone discusses what the Whisltblowers are saying about the DOJ and IRS?...especially when we know the FBI faked FISA warrants and knew the dossier is fake. Everytime there is negative news about the Bidens you guys default to yeah well what about Trump. You do realize both things can be correct. Sorry it doesn't fit your narrative that only the Orange Man is bad. How about we hear about the crimes of BOTH families. If true then send them ALL to prison...in the same cell for all I care.

  3. you understand how fake that "screenshot" is, correct?

  4. Yeah it probably wasn't a great time immediately after that impact. But my point is that far more calamitous things have happened to earth than humans driving cars and flying planes, and it's still here supporting life. The earth has been far colder, far hotter, and far more polluted than it is now and supported life throughout. So the notion that we're going to somehow irreparably break the earth or make it completely uninhabitable is just a cute case of humans having main character syndrome, and failing to understand how tiny and insignificant we are in the cosmic sense. The other piece climate panic pushers fail to account for is how good humans are at adapting. Earths population grows every year, and climatologists tell us natural disasters are getting more severe and more frequent *citation needed.* But somehow we find that less and less people every year are killed by natural disasters when you adjust for population growth. Seems counterintuitive but that just shows how good we are at adapting to and mitigating problems. As green technologies progress they will become cheaper, more efficient, more reliable, and will one day take the place of fossil fuels. I truly look forward to when that happens. But trying to force them into prime time use prematurely by outlawing energy forms that we still depend on is not the way to do it. Saddling our economy with restrictions while China still pisses in the pool is also not the way to do it.

  5. She's the one who wants the total ban on fossil fuels. Not my idea dude. She's an ignorant rich child that doesn't understand the 2nd and 3rd order effects of what she's proposing. Parts of the developing world still burn wood and dung for heat and would kill to have basic fossil fuel infrastructure. (Which would also be a green improvement.) Again, It was her stated goal to eliminate fossil fuels in 5 years, not mine. This would be disastrous to the 3rd world and 1st world alike. Luckily we didn't do it, which might have something to do with it being literally impossible right now. Green technologies are progressing but trying to force it down everyone's throat on an unrealistic timeline is how you get the Texas windmill freeze debacle or the California's rolling blackouts or Europe's disastrous dependence on Russian natural gas. This is her personal crusade and it is divorced from the realities of what our power grids demand and what green energy can supply right now. The Energy storage piece is another huge component to the green infrastructure that is not fully figured out yet. But if you still don't think she's a spoiled, grandstanding, holier than thou, hypocritical climate influencer I'll offer up this. Instead of flying commercial from New York to Lisbon for a 2019 climate conference, she chartered a ride on a rich couple's racing catamaran across the Atlantic. Cool. Super green. Except for the part where they flew her boat captain commercial from Britain to New York prior to the voyage, later promising the flight would be offset with carbon credits. Which begs the question, why doesn't Greta just fly places and pay for carbon offsets? why it's almost like it's one big publicity stunt

  6. Relaying from bros I know out there. “Applications are still at HQ, about 1/2 done being processed. After that’s done there will be a social and the board will meet to select interviewees. More info will be pushed out in the future. Tell ‘em thanks for applying and we’re looking forward to meeting them all in the future.”

  7. 50 years of bad doomsday climate predictions and the planet remains undefeated in proving those predictions wrong. Throwing an enthusiastic but completely wrong 15 year old into the loss column continues the Earth's perfect record.

  8. It says humanity would be wiped out if we did not "stop" fossil fuel usage by 2023. Well... we didn't. And we're not going to. Humanity has remained undefeated in the last 2 million years. You have my personal guarantee that you're going to be okay. No need for hysterics.

  10. Huh? This is the exact article from the link in her Tweet, found in about 5 seconds. https://web.archive.org/web/20180501150731/https://gritpost.com/humans-extinct-climate-change/ Some brilliant highlights: A top climate scientist is warning that climate change will wipe out all of humanity unless we stop using fossil fuels over the next five years. “The chance that there will be any permanent ice left in the Arctic after 2022 is essentially zero,” Anderson said, with 75 to 80 percent of permanent ice having melted already in the last 35 years. However, the bad news for humanity is that as long as Donald Trump is President of the United States, swift action to combat climate change seems unlikely prior to 2020 LOL. So Ridiculous. Why are you accusing anyone else of not being able to read?

  12. "State of Fear" written by Michael Crichton sums up the environmental doomsday screeching quite well, keep people scared by preaching doom and gloom so that those preaching gain power and/or wealth. Despite the 3 or 4 dozen grim predictions since the 1970s of global warming, global cooling, mass starvation, overpopulation, extinction of animal species, seas rising, acid rain, melting polar ice caps, ozone depletion, etc., humans are still here doing better than ever and the planet continues to spin through space. But 100% failure doesn't deter these people. I might admire that determination if they weren't so annoying.

  14. Recommend you get you PPL first. Accumulate whatever hours you can afford the next few years. You can’t apply for a UPT slot until your last year of college anyway, so start studying for your AFOQT as you near that timeline. You can only take it twice, so put in the effort preparing for it. Also, and equally important, spend these next few enlisted years getting to know the pilots in your unit. Don’t be the annoying guy, but rather be the bro they want to hire and keep around. Try bringing a bottle for the bar, on a drill weekend, every once in a while. I bet you’ll be invited to stay for some drinks, let them know you’re interested in flying with them.

  16. Absolutely it is a fake screenshot, it is a recreation and sadly for America the words are an exact quote from the transcript as reported by all your favorites: CNN - Hunter Biden invoked dad’s name to get paid, text shows CBS - Alleged sweeping misconduct in the Hunter Biden tax investigation, new transcripts show Washington Post - IRS whistleblower says Justice Dept. slowed, stifled Hunter Biden case The Whislteblower shared the transcripts and even more disturbing, the fact that Justice Department prosecutors denied requests to look into messages Surely, if there is even a 1% chance this is all corroborated, as an American don't you want to know the truth? Or is the liberal grip on power that important to you? I mean you are here, you swore an oath to the Constitution, didn't that mean anything? I don't want this to be true, I don't want my President and my DOJ to be corrupt but something really stinks here. The house bent Trump over the rails for a completely fake dossier and you guys don't even want to listen to an increasing list of Whistleblowers inside the IRS and DOJ that are screaming SOMETHING IS CORRUPT! Come on man! Better Geritol than Koolaid.

  20. You guys nut hug this demented idiot and his crackhead son worse than Cornpop rubbing Joe's hairy legs. IRS agent tells House committee there was meddling with Hunter Biden case The whistleblower, Gary Shapley, says Attorney General Merrick Garland was not telling Congress the truth when he asserted in earlier testimony that Weiss, who is based in Delaware, had the authority to charge in other jurisdictions, including California and Washington, D.C. Shapley said bringing charges in those districts is not something the U.S. attorneys there, who were appointed by President Joe Biden, would do. Shapley told the committee that as an investigator for the IRS, he obtained messages Hunter Biden sent on the WhatsApp platform, including one that he read demanding payment from a Chinese businessman named Henry Zhao. In the message, Biden appeared to suggest that he was sitting with his father, then the former vice president, saying, "I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction. Almost every conservative on this forum has said hold Trump accountable but for some reason you guys can't do the same with the Bidens. The constant drip is overwhelming and you don't even want to see if it is real...truly sad. Also, how you support these two horrible humans who have denied their own blood. Refusing Hunter's child the Biden name (maybe that is a favor), and Ole Joe even acknowledge her, ,what a horrible thing for that child. Her Grandfather is the President of the United Sates and through no actions on her part, her family turns their back on her as if she does not even exist...truly a sick group of humans doing that to a child.

  21. That's my point. How many humans do you think would have been strolling around after that? I should have specifically said human life I guess. My poorly worded point is in the end it doesn't really matter how 'green' we go, the human race is on a timeline. Well thought out regulation that protects our water, air, and land without fucking over economies and people is what we should be about. If developed nations are burning coal 20-40 years from now they fucked up.

  24. My son got hired to fly C-17s at the local Reserve unit. He was verbally hired in December and they have no idea when he will get picked up for OTS/UPT/SERE, etc. They don't think it will be until next year and he obviously isn't getting paid at this time. However, they want him to swear in next week despite no timetable for moving forward. Is this normal? Is taking the oath akin to signing a contract? Does one incur an obligation when they take the oath or does that only come with signing a contract? I'm confused by the timing of events. Thanks in advance.

  29. Lots of paths, some happy, some not so you’ll get mixed responses. I did 20+ yrs Active duty, enjoyed it enough to separate into reserves vs retire. I could have more money but feel I have plenty (just being disciplined, not smart, not lucky) a line # and I still get to fly fast, low/hi etc. so other than the USAF being a shitshow, it was well worth it. My social circle is now fairly hi end and the super wealthy people are more jealous of me than I am of them….money isn’t everything is what I learned. To me nothing can replace a day of flying fighters then drinking afternoon beers in the squadron bar like I’m 22 again. I do it again in a heartbeat. 31. I really don't know how you post this with a straight face, have you even looked at the facts. You made comments about the Trump appointed judge...that is NO the point. The vast majority of judges agree with plea deals and this likely will as well. This is about the DOJ who is violating their own rule sets and CLEARLY administering a two-tiered system if justice to protect a crackhead son of Biden. For 20 years DOJ has been operating off precedent called the Ashcroft Rule which provides very clear prosecution guidelines: First, it requires federal prosecutors generally to pursue "the most serious readily provable chargeable offense." Let me help you, that would be the FELONY gun charge Crackhead is going to avoid by pleading guilty to a misdemeanor. And in case you think they had room to maneuver and plead down...the rule goes on to say having pursued "the most serious readily provable offense" in accordance with the first part of the policy -- generally cannot drop down to more modest charges in order to secure a guilty plea. Rather, they must compel the defendant to either plead guilty to the most serious readily provable offense, or face trial. Look no further than Rapper Kodak Black who was just sentenced to 46 months in prison for the same crime that Biden’s son has been charged with. Bradford Cohen, Black’s Florida-based attorney who has handled many cases like this, decried “After 26 years, I have yet to have a plea in a case with an illegal possession of a weapon and tax evasion, that did not come with some kind of prison sentence. Indigents charged the same way would be getting jail time,” Cohen said. Even if you somehow find a way to hand-wave the felony gun charge, the two tier system is happening on the tax evasion charge as well. Look no further than my Jersey Boy Mike "the situation" Sorrentino, in January of 2018, he pleaded guilty to one count of evading taxes on $123,000 in income. He was sentenced to 8 months in federal prison. Hunter failed to pay taxes on $1.5 MILLION, more than ten times that of Sorrentino and he is gonna walk free. This is a complete embarrassment and that fact that Liberals are ok with it...and even defend it, is shameful.

  32. @frog You’re not wrong, but also being a truly mission-focused wing/cc who calls out failure and demands ops-like performance out of the MXG/MSG gets shitcanned in 6.9 sec in this AF. So they ask about the grass instead. Ultimately your rated leadership failure is happening at the O7+ level. Of course there are careerist douche wing/cc who stand on their own lack of merit, but hard to be a stand out warrior leader at the O-6 level and not get fired when you’ve got the crop of GOs that exist today.
