Because the Liberals control mainstream media and just like they did with the laptop, they are going to kick as much dirt as they can over the story to protect uncle Joe...retaining power is that important. They same thing happens on this forum, folks are happy to bury their heads in the sand or call it fake rather than contemplate the implications of it being real. Seriously, why wouldn't a person who has sworn an oath the Constitution, regardless of political ideology, at least want to know if the President is a criminal like his crackhead son. Even more details are being put together Hunter Biden-linked account received $5 million days after threatening messages: 'Sitting here with my father" On Aug. 4, 2017, Chinese firm CEFC Infrastructure Investment wired $100,000 to Hunter Biden’s law firm Owasco, according to a 2020 report published by the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee. Then, days later on Aug. 8, 2017, CEFC Infrastructure Investment sent $5 million to Hudson West III, a firm Hunter Biden opened with Chinese associates. I guess the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee is more Russian disinformation.5 points

The screenshot is a media created image based on transcribed texts, not screenshots of the texts. It’s a common practice. Spoiler alert- they’re the same thing, we just don’t see the custom meth/dick background undoubtedly on Hunters WhatsApp account. Do you really not know that? For those not following the numerous Biden corruption scandals I’ll summarize some facts that are not in dispute: 1. Hunter Biden laptop is real and the FBI has known this since 2019, they just let you think it was Russian disinformation. It provides a host of records (which we care about) along with thousands of incriminating images of drug use and prostitutes (which no one cares about). 2. Those records helped refine other investigations, which show industrial scale tax fraud by Hunter along with serious questions for Joe. 3. investigators have linked dates Joe traveled with Hunter, to texts of Hunter meeting with locals, to millions of dollars being funneled directly to multiple Biden family members using shell companies and circuitous banking paths… methods that have no legitimate explanation and trigger Treasury department suspicious activity reports. Hundreds of them. And the Biden’s have no business to explain the payments. 4. Many texts mention Hunter keeping a portion of monies for “the big guy” who eye witnesses involved in these business dealings have named Joe Biden himself. Hunter and Joe shared a bank account at one point during these dealings. 5. we now have additional texts where Hunter literally tells Chinese communists to pay up now or my dad, who is sitting next to me, will retaliate. The FBI fought to keep you from knowing all this. After that text was sent the Chinese communist party, through wholly owned subsidiaries, sent money to Hunter. I understand Partisanship, and we all see things from our own perspective. I thought the Trump-Russia thing was a hoax, and it was, but I was fine with the investigation, even though it significantly impacted his presidency. This case appears different to me. I cannot see anything except a smoking gun of soliciting bribes and being corrupt by our current president. The one piece that isn’t completely solid (to me, knowing nothing except what I read) is what policy implications were purchased with this money. It is provable that “access to Joe” was bought, but so what? The house investigators say they’re working to tighten up this piece. There are circumstantial things they’ve released, but it needs to be more convincing. But yes, Trump is bad and orange and lacks tact.4 points

It’s the classic situation of multiple things can be true at once: 1. Humans absolutely affect the planet, climate, etc. 2. Humans should continue to develop cleaner energy and bring it to bear when the technology is mature/able to actually support civilization’s energy needs 3. “climate change” as defined/argued by the left is absolutely a complete bullshit lie and only pushed for the gain of wealth/power for select groups of people. People like Greta are just useful idiots in that process.4 points

Excellent opportunity for Ukraine to exploit the logistics open question Wagner has created with Rostov-On-Don, and make inroads towards splitting the land bridge to the Sea of Azov. "Better lucky than good.. fuck it, now Choot!" ~Sun Tzu, probably slava Ukraini.3 points

That’s what it was as of 4-5 years ago. They certainly could have changed, but AFAIK for anyone picked up by a Reserves unit, there were no options to drill/get paid and we sat inactive until orders started. And the hiring unit doesn’t own pipeline studs; a Reserve-wide training unit does until after FTU. Guard runs it differently and you can drill/get paid before starting the pipeline and your home unit manages all schools/pay/leave/issues/etc. from day 1, from my understanding2 points

Thanks O Face and Burt for confirming the path forward. I'm super excited he's flying with the local unit and he just got hired by NetJets as well. FC I is complete, although WP was a bit touch and go. They find stuff even parents didn't know about! This forum is a great resource. Happy I can contribute a little now and then. Cheers. Your classic denial is truly sad. So now it is whataboutism when someone discusses what the Whisltblowers are saying about the DOJ and IRS?...especially when we know the FBI faked FISA warrants and knew the dossier is fake. Everytime there is negative news about the Bidens you guys default to yeah well what about Trump. You do realize both things can be correct. Sorry it doesn't fit your narrative that only the Orange Man is bad. How about we hear about the crimes of BOTH families. If true then send them ALL to prison...in the same cell for all I care.2 points

Hey Doc. I’m glad some of us can finally answer a question for you since you’ve dutifully been answering countless medical questions on here for years. First of all tell your son congratulations from all of us on here!! That’s a big deal!! The answer is yes. Swear in ASAP. He can begin going to drill and get paid for it, and even though he’ll be sitting for a while waiting for school dates he can get a good year in the reserve towards retirement. When he goes to visit your old stomping grounds at WP, and if they DQ’d him for something, he would be eligible for release. He won’t be committed for his 10 yrs until he completes UPT. Again - congratulations.2 points

Yeah it probably wasn't a great time immediately after that impact. But my point is that far more calamitous things have happened to earth than humans driving cars and flying planes, and it's still here supporting life. The earth has been far colder, far hotter, and far more polluted than it is now and supported life throughout. So the notion that we're going to somehow irreparably break the earth or make it completely uninhabitable is just a cute case of humans having main character syndrome, and failing to understand how tiny and insignificant we are in the cosmic sense. The other piece climate panic pushers fail to account for is how good humans are at adapting. Earths population grows every year, and climatologists tell us natural disasters are getting more severe and more frequent *citation needed.* But somehow we find that less and less people every year are killed by natural disasters when you adjust for population growth. Seems counterintuitive but that just shows how good we are at adapting to and mitigating problems. As green technologies progress they will become cheaper, more efficient, more reliable, and will one day take the place of fossil fuels. I truly look forward to when that happens. But trying to force them into prime time use prematurely by outlawing energy forms that we still depend on is not the way to do it. Saddling our economy with restrictions while China still pisses in the pool is also not the way to do it.2 points

66 million years ago the earth got hit by a 6 mile wide meteor traveling 12 miles per second. It resulted in 600 mph winds, 300 foot mega tsunamis that obliterated global coastlines, threw 25 trillion metric tons of debris into the atmosphere, which rained back down causing mass wildfires destroying 70% of forests on earth. The impact also caused an explosion the equivalent of 72 trillion tons of tnt which is more than all of the nuclear weapons currently on earth combined. The earth is still here. Still supporting life. But what's really going to determine the future of earth is whether you drive a F-150 or a Prius to work. 🤦🏻♂️2 points

What enlisted career field are you in currently? Do you interact with the pilots at all? If so, wait for an opportunity when they’re not busy or in a rush, and respectfully introduce yourself. Tell them you’re hoping to apply as soon as you finish up college. Nothing cosmic, no secret formula. You already know what annoying looks like. Don’t follow anyone around like a lost puppy dog, don’t be obnoxious, and don’t act entitled. Be helpful, respectful, funny, and humble. Offer to help the Lt’s clean up the bar or help DD after a Sqdrn function. The fellas are going to remember you come interview time. I know it’s easier said than done, but don’t be nervous talking to the pilots. Remember we’re always looking for our next pilot and like hiring our own folks, so be the guy that you’d like to work with.1 point

@stuckindayton, seconding what others have said: Congrats to your son and please utilize us for any questions you may have! You helped many of us out so much along the way; it's the least we can do to repay the favor and help your son. @O Face hit the nail on the head with the commitment issue and to get rolling on enlisting. I don't believe he's obligated to anything until at least finishing OTS/gaining his commission (and even that can be released), so swearing in won't hurt. 2nd piece about enlisting ASAP that is often overlooked is that the enlistment date is the official Date of Service; something that'll be in his file and on every LES. Seems cheesy, but this will be the date that starts the 2 year clock counting until the AF starts their TSP contributions. It's not huge money, but it certainly helps to get that rolling earlier. I'm also not sure if this is also the date used to start the 20 year clock, as well, (I'd think it would be) but it's another big piece, if so. I do have to differ with O in experience with the drilling/getting paid after enlistment/before OTS. I'm not sure if he's speaking from Guard or Reserves experience and perhaps things have changed, but when I went through the Reserves process we were explicitly told we were not to go to drill/get paid by/or do any sort of in processing with our hiring units. Basically, from the moment of hiring/enlistment until heading to Randolph for Inprocessing a couple weeks prior to OTS, you won't have any opportunities for pay. Not to get too into the weeds and it certainly could be different these days, but for non-prior service folks hired by any AFRC unit, you're not actually owned by or doing any drilling/orders your home unit until you are in the last piece the training pipeline (your seasoning orders). Starting from getting picked up by the AFRC UPT Board (which is usually a few months after hiring/FC1), a new hire is completely owned by the 340th FTG; a Randolph-based unit that handles all aspects (pay, orders, schools, vouchers, leave, etc.) for all hires (no matter what they're flying) through OTS/SERE/UPT/IFF/FTU. When you finish FTU, you then put the paperwork in to be "gained" by your home unit and be under their care/going to drills/dealing with their finance/etc. Again, things could have changed, but that was my experience. Congrats again to your son!1 point

The official memo with the OTS class dates for the next FY was sent out a couple of weeks ago to the unit training managers (at least on the ANG side) from NGB Rated Management. Confirmed that it is new classes roughly every two weeks. Aside from that it's been radio silence for me. I've been seeing a bunch of people that were previously slotted for the Aug class already get dates for Oct (when they start the new curriculum/system/etc) but I believe so far all of those have been either AD or AFRC. NGB did say they are hoping to put people in the Oct classes that were previously slated to go to OTS in Aug (or at the very least slot them before people that hadn't gotten a TLN yet on the guard side before this whole restructuring was announced). In terms of if/when that would occur is a bit vague. My UTM seems to think that she won't hear anything for my OTS TLN until the end of July. Per her, that is when they usually release them for the next FY for NGB. Anyone else have any additional info? Specifically any ANG hires that already had their packet approved? I'm also curious how this flow would impact any projected pilot training dates I had gotten previously. Also I second the congrats for @stuckindayton! You've been an invaluable resource on these boards over the yrs.1 point

Absolutely it is a fake screenshot, it is a recreation and sadly for America the words are an exact quote from the transcript as reported by all your favorites: CNN - Hunter Biden invoked dad’s name to get paid, text shows CBS - Alleged sweeping misconduct in the Hunter Biden tax investigation, new transcripts show Washington Post - IRS whistleblower says Justice Dept. slowed, stifled Hunter Biden case The Whislteblower shared the transcripts and even more disturbing, the fact that Justice Department prosecutors denied requests to look into messages Surely, if there is even a 1% chance this is all corroborated, as an American don't you want to know the truth? Or is the liberal grip on power that important to you? I mean you are here, you swore an oath to the Constitution, didn't that mean anything? I don't want this to be true, I don't want my President and my DOJ to be corrupt but something really stinks here. The house bent Trump over the rails for a completely fake dossier and you guys don't even want to listen to an increasing list of Whistleblowers inside the IRS and DOJ that are screaming SOMETHING IS CORRUPT! Come on man! Better Geritol than Koolaid.1 point

That's my point. How many humans do you think would have been strolling around after that? I should have specifically said human life I guess. My poorly worded point is in the end it doesn't really matter how 'green' we go, the human race is on a timeline. Well thought out regulation that protects our water, air, and land without fucking over economies and people is what we should be about. If developed nations are burning coal 20-40 years from now they fucked up.1 point

I did have a wing/cc once who said everyone who gets an incentive ride will shadow the entire 12 hr day prior for mission planning, etc. And on execution day would be there the entire 12 hr day. For all the time they couldn’t be with the pilots due to lack of vault access, they would shadow the SARMs, AFE, go out on the flight line with MX, etc. 2x 12 hr “average days” was a massive eye opener for everyone who went through.1 point

I think we do pretty well at “whole person concept.” Of course high scores, GPA (degree type factored in), etc. matter. But also the interview is huge - I’ll take the 29 yr old hockey player with a 2.9 GPA who’s a volunteer EMT over the 4.2 GPA/99s, works at LM, awkward 23 yr old. Scores aren’t everything - demo you can handle hard work, have faced adversity and not quit, are a team player and a dude we want to go to war (and the bar) with. There are also incredibly smart people who are gifted academically, but you can just tell they’re not the “get into the fray” type. That’s OK, just fighters aren’t for that person.1 point
