Biden slammed after report reveals number of grandchildren his aides instructed to say publicly: 'Monsters' "Biden is facing backlash from conservatives following a report that his aides have been told to say publicly that he only has six grandchildren, omitting Hunter Biden’s 4-year-old estranged daughter." What an incredibly horrible human being.2 points

Many good people sacrificed their lives for you to enjoy the freedom of your incoherent and confused narrative. These included many young conservative Christian men, whom you do not have the privilege to bin into your narrow perspective. Those young conservative Christian men had, and still have, a valued place in military aviation. These Christians lock arms with believers and nonbelievers alike to defend the rights of people who believe like them, along with academic bloviates who shout arrogance only rivaled by their ignorance from the sidelines. I’ll leave you with this quote from Jim Downey... What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.2 points

Heh, that's called Tuesday at AFRC. At a former squadron of mine, we used to apply and get approved for 125% overhires by default, given the rather stipulated condition of our unit being a de facto AD-separating inprocessing center. We scrolled more people with zero intention of sticking around than a fucking MEPS center. Of course, we make brick with the self-interested (redundant, they are airline pilots 😆) temp help we understood would 1288s in short order, depending on airline hiring per usual. At least leadership was honest about the regional airline condition to our outfit, and that of my full-timer %ss as your neighborhood friendly "regional lifer", of course. I should change my callsign to RED.... Can't get ya a reco to Delta; on the inside though I can give ya a ride to the BX before they close the Subway early (because Air Force, of course), and TODC that 938 for ya before they wrap your "$5 dollars doesn't buy my undivided attention, Robert" MUTA special BLT. 😄2 points

I know that you've been there and done that /s. The military will not ask you to fly a mission with shitty weather, bad guys lobbing exploding telephone poles and fire rocks (tracer rounds lol) at you, in a foreign land 1,000s of miles away from your family. They will order you to. Just like the jab. I hate the Covid vaccine as much as the next guy but dudes in the military don't have the option to punch out just because they're scared. When you fly mission where lives are at stake, shit gets real. We weren't playing video games and listening to Drake (hes a Canadian how gangsta can that dude be? lol) getting pumped up on how tough we are by using our imaginations, we did real shit. Shit that keeps me awake at night. Edit: I bid you good day Sir! (Imagine me saying this with a West London accent). That's a polite way of saying GFYS. Edit 2: There were 18 yo dudes on the ground, carrying guns, looking into the eyes of the targets they had to take out. I'm sure they'd applaud your efforts to help them get home by quitting. Some of them never saw home again and died in that shithole (take your pick which one). That was the last place they saw. No family, no Drake, no internet tough guys. They gave it all. You gave nothing.2 points

Got a late start to watching the Tour De France, but was shocked to see that all the riders and staff for the race are being required to wear masks and apparently the riders are being tested every day and will be kicked out of the race if they pop for COVID. JFC this idiocy will just not die even when you think it finally has.1 point

There's a reason why there are literally "no go" arrondissements in Paris for the police. Has been this way for over a decade and getting worse as a result of the lax immigration policies "enforced"?/embraced. The "religion of peace" is incompatible w/ democracy contrary to what Islamists will tell you! It is NOT a facilitator of democracy.1 point

Despite wide ranging views on immigration, one of the things we do well in the United States is integrate people into our system. Generally, within a generation, families who come here no longer consider themselves Chinese, Mexican, Indian, etc, rather they identify as American. It’s arguably our greatest strength. This is not so in the rest of the world & France is particularly bad about this (their German neighbors aren’t too far behind). Most of their migrants live in borderline slums and will never be considered “French” by their hosts. It’s a thorny issue and I can certainly understand those who are trying to hold on to their culture when the vast majority of immigrants don’t share the same history, language, religious values, etc. But history tells us that a large population of second class citizens in a country tends to cause problems that will eventually have to be addressed. The current French system isn’t working for many of the people who live there & they will eventually have to do something different.1 point

Most of us on this site did some sort of "boot camp" along with "military pilot training" and actual "combat deployments". You're talking with big boys and girls now. If you choose the military, make sure to tell your flight commander on day one of UPT that you went to boot camp. He/she's gonna respect you more than anyone else in your class. Lol1 point

Most places where you find gainful employment as pilot are going to make you play some sort of "game". The military makes you play more. People who have not been to war always say they dont have a problem killing. It will have an impact on your life, whether you killed bad guys or couldn’t recover that one guy because of the weather. Being responsible for others lives is a huge burden. But for me, I took pride helping my brothers in arms come home or helping someone on a bad night. You can teach a monkey to fly a Cessna. Flying military aircraft takes a different mindset than being a regular old PPL aviation god. Good luck.1 point

They just need CNN to come help shape the narrative...you know for the cause and all that stuff.1 point

From the plea deal to the conduct of this investigation, the system is completely corrupt. Search warrants, including one to a storage unit that would demonstrate a link to Joe Biden himself, suppressed by DOJ...but it gets worse...DOJ then notified Biden's defense counsel of their interest the storage unit. How do you even remotely defend this?1 point

have you considered swindling other young conservative christian men? I hear it's pretty lucrative...1 point

Howdy y'all, Long time stalker, first time poster. Wanted to contribute to this thread as this was integral to my success in securing a fighter slot this past spring. Almost everything that was asked had some roots in what has already been said here. The one thing that I'd never heard before was something along the lines of: "You're going to get back from the B-Course and be qualified to fly one of the most advanced weapon systems in the world, and I'm going to make you make coffee and popcorn. How do you feel about this? Do you know why we do this?" In addition, I was asked very tailored questions as I had been rushing and interviewing with the squadron for the previous 2.5 years. This, being my third round with the unit, was the most relaxed interview I had ever been in. General gouge for the readers: if you are anything like me, you have been viewing this pursuit in the form of checking off boxes. In my humble opinion, that is the wrong way to think of it at the interview stage of the game. The reason why I got the slot this year was that I truly got to know myself outside of my desire for this career. This gave me a deeper understanding of my motives and inner character, which allowed me to communicate effectively and confidently in the interview. Number one piece of advice for the applicant who gets their first interview: think introspectively and truly get to know yourself before going in. Best of luck to everyone!1 point

If you are interested in flying fighters, I am going to be doing zoom calls with people who have been recently hired by guard units. I will chat with them for about 30 minutes and then we will open it up for questions. We will discuss a lot of topics/questions brought up in this forum. I have been flying F16s for 8 years now both on active duty and in the guard. If you are interested in listening in on these zoom calls please send your name and cell phone number to fighterpilothumancapital@gmail.com I will reach out to you and get you added to the zoom link distro list.1 point

All of the interview gouge in this thread is still relevant. I'm sure its been said, but I will reiterate that its important to have a bunch of stories that you can apply to lots of different questions. Try to think about what they are really asking about when you read through questions in here, there are about a million different ways to ask the same question, but they all want to hear the same thing. The basic questions you will be asked in some way: Why this squadron Why this mission Are you a leader/team player Will we want to spend time with you Also some random questions to throw you off your game/ hear what you are really like without prep I visited and had experiences during those visits that came up in the interview, it made the interview much more relaxing and conversational. Know when to be serious answering questions, and when to be lighthearted; visiting helps you know what the squadron members are like and will help with this immensely. It's hard to "practice" for an interview and not have canned answers. The best thing to do is to really think about stories in your past that show who you are as a person. Record yourself talking, or even have a friend ask you some questions from a list and try to relate these questions back to your stories/experiences. Anyone can say things they want to do or will do, but they are looking for someone that can back up what they say with an action.1 point

I am extremely grateful for all the posters in this group and can proudly say I was offered my dream job as a KC135 UPT selectee today. This thread has been a wealth of knowledge. KC135 board. 3 pilots, 1 boom operator (Captain to LT Col). Most relaxed, human interview I've participated in and so glad I get to call this unit my future home. "Tell us about yourself" "Tell us about your civilian job and what its like" "Do you want to be an airline pilot?" "If you could get in the plane right now and go anywhere, where would you go and what would you eat?" "How do you handle conflict with another person?" "Tell us about your flight experience" "Ever have an instructor you didn't mesh with and how did you handle it?" "What do you do as an Army Officer?" "Favorite movie/food/drink? " "Questions for us?" PCSM 97 Pilot 87 250TT Age 26 If anybody has specific questions or anything, please feel free to message me and we can talk!1 point

Recently got picked up by a fighter unit. This thread was incredibly useful during my preparation so I wanted to return the favor. Here were some of my questions: 1. Tell us about yourself. 2. Are you okay with the possibility of shooting down a civilian airliner? 3. Why should we choose you over all the other qualified applicants? 4. Convince me you wont wash out of UPT? 5. Have you ever been in a fight? 6. How will you interact with the enlisted personnel on base? (Asked by enlisted member) 7. What if you’re in UPT and failing, what would you do? 8. What is something you struggle with while flying? 9. What’s more important, being an officer or a pilot? 10. Do you have any questions or closing remarks? Biggest piece of advice I can give is to actually answer the question and relate your answer back to how you’ll succeed at UPT, flying, etc. At one of my interviews, I was so focused on deliberating that I never gave a straight answer to the question asked. Also, be yourself, be honest, and be confident even if you get pushback on some of your answers. Best of luck to everyone!1 point

IQ is built on pattern recognition. When an evil pattern is recognized, either you can fall in line or you can rebel. You can say I quit all you want, but you're not the one that got chewed out by several handfuls of RDCs and legal and medical petty officers for standing up for what you believe in. I did that. I had to spend over a month in Separations with REAL quitters, delinquents, and crybabies. I got an honorable discharge because they knew how much of a shit storm it would be giving people like me general or dishonorable. You can call it crying from the sidelines, but have you ever asked yourself what you are prepared to give up your life for? Are gay rights and Israel really worth it?-1 points
