  1. Anyone else notice the White House make a subtle change to their Joe and Hunter Narrative... Rather than saying the father and son never discussed Hunter's array of international business deals – language Biden himself has used – Jean-Pierre said the two were never "in business" together. Subtle, but very important distinction as more evidence drip drip drips out.

  2. No one will be punished. And even worse is millions of Americans will be just as retarded and lacking all critical thought during the next “crisis.” Nobody who should learn from this disaster will actually learn anything.

  6. Not a single one of our liberal friends on this forum has explained, defended or even acknowledged that millions from foreign companies (including one run by the CCP), ended up in accounts of multiple Biden Family members...including his grandchildren (at least the grand kids he acknowledges). Just nut jobs conspiracy theories...except for all the transactions that were flagged and are now part of the public record. Let me guess, it's Trump's fault.

  8. How many lies have we been told recently? Recent government information on nearly every issue that has captivated the public fear and fascination has been suspect. COVID, climate change, vaccines, Monkeypox, Russia, North Korea, AFG, inflation, gov spending, DEI, elections, immigration, social issues, etc, etc, etc. Now UFOs. I have two theories: Either we have these non-elected "intelligence" services promoting narratives that either contribute to the expansion of authority, enrich DC elite, or distract from their failures.... Or, it's just a bunch of morons wasting time and money deliberating over rumors, fantasies, and gossip. "I want to believe." But, given the recent track record, I'm not buying the whole "Well, Sally said Peter knows a guy whose cousin saw a dead alien. Here's a 240p video of a white dot in the sky at night." Show up with a wrecked spaceship, head of an alien, or kick rocks.

  10. Basically identical to this video I've seen balloons, drones, stars, planets, farmer joe in a Cessna, and airliners etc.. many times through the pod, nvgs, and with the naked eye. If you trust that I have any level of competence operating military aircraft believe me it was not any of those things.

  12. How did the yes men get the numbers? Could you imagine having to fight WW2 in today's awesome military? Our leaders are pussies who care more about promotion and post military careers than their people and the mission. Any shitty leaders reading this, grow a fucking spine. I bet they all were mediocre pilots.

  17. Likely not a spy and I don't think anyone who has been banging the drum thinks he is actually a spy...HOWEVER, it is a crime and a further drip drip drip of evidence linking his him and his father peddling political influence and power for money. A LOT of powerful democrats are very nervous right now as they continue the "attack the witnesses and deny the evidence" narrative.

  18. You probably won’t even take your suit jacket off at an airline interview and there is no such thing as an inspection process. So if you have some tats on your forearms, you’ll be wearing the long sleeves the rest of your career, but that’s it. No problem. I suppose I can’t speak for all airlines. Wouldn’t be surprised if DL guys got the full open ranks inspection each morning. - Joking!

  23. Every candidate at his level has and will push whatever flavor the current administration touts (right now: woke); so all else equal, I’d rather have a relatively apolitical and quiet Air Force fighter pilot at the helm that will advocate for air power than another indecisive and incompetent Mark Milley.

  24. Definitely doesn't have anything to do with telling people they are born racist, gender doesn't exist, and their kids should get hormone treatment without parental knowledge or consent. A couple decades of that nonsense will raise the hackles. All while the untrained son of the vice president blackmails Chinese Nationals with threats of his father's retribution if he isn't paid a lot of money, while people like you insist that not only is there nothing wrong with that, but you surely wouldn't have cared if the last president did that. To those of us who can see your basic and generally boring political hypocrisy, it's just obnoxious. But to everyone else it's maddening, and now they are acting mad. Democrats took for granted for decades that Republicans would never act as unhinged and insane as they acted anytime they didn't get their way. Republicans have since started acting and unhinged and insane, and the liberals are not liking the taste of their medicine.

  25. Just doing a little reading. 20 July - Grassley released the FBI memo regarding the foreign bribery scheme. Three of the people mentioned are: the CHS (Confidential Human Source) Zlochevsky - Burisma CEO who claims to have text messages and proof of bribery. Ostapenko - Works in the Zelensky administration, connected the source and Zlochevsky. All three were associates working together. Sources are now claiming that Zelensky, through Ostapenko, has had possession of all information and materials related to the bribery scheme. Zelensky became president in 2019. Biden in 2020. In September 2020, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved Ukraine's new National Security Strategy, which provides for the development of the distinctive partnership with NATO with the aim of membership in NATO. https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natohq/topics_37750.htm Jan 25, 2021 - The Biden administration immediately began spending billions on Ukraine - all before the invasion. https://www.wilsoncenter.org/blog-post/biden-has-proven-track-record-ukraine-what-can-we-expect-his-administration Coincidence? What would you do if you were a foreign leader with proof of crimes committed by the current US presidential administration?

  28. This. Everytime I had an O-6 or above asking why my generation didn't want to stay in longer, I had to explain that I simply didn't have the same memories they had from their CGO years. It takes a lot of emotional attachment to the military to want to deal with the life of an FGO and above, and frankly, we didn't have that, especially in the heavy world. Instead, we had the all-men-are-rapists campaign, the great cleansing of 2012, RIFs from my second year at USAFA until the sudden reversal in 2015, 0-0-1-3 and literal article 15s for shenanigans that were tame compared to the stories the O-6 writing the Art15 would tell in private, blah blah blah. Never mind the two-months-on two-months-off deployments to the Died that guys would do for years because the AF decided that trickfucking the 90 day flying hours restrictions was more important than any sort of balanced family life, or the camaraderie built from deploying as a squadron. Ironically, after I was court martialed (not guilty all charges) it *improved* my Air Force experience. I was immediately relieved of all the non-flying nonsense that they make you do to chase down the next promotion. I would have done anything to get "back on the path," but they were done with me, and boy when you start producing the quality of work that you would expect from someone who has been guaranteed to be passed over, they stop giving you work to do. If the AF wants to improve retention they need to accept that young people who want to kill people for their country have a lot of energy to burn in unsavory ways. Fail to provide that and they will not serve for another 10-20 years off the inertia of great memories and personal connections. Those people will in turn help recruiting.

  30. Air Force JROTC has a full ride PPL scholarship with no obligation incurred and yet in the three years I've been teaching it, I've only had 5 out of 250+ cadets apply. I would have killed for an opportunity like that when I was in high school...

  32. This. In spades. The work the military did within the absolutely abhorrent constraints our moronic political leadership imposed was as good as it could have been. It should have ended under GW. If not, it definitely should have ended under Obama. I'll not even address the absolute abortion that generates our current military and political 'guidance', as the word "leadership" in no way applies to them. Backing up even more, the concept of a "war on terror" was doomed from the very beginning, and never should have happened. Regardless of the idiots in charge, the boots on the ground did an outstanding job to get the job of identifying and suppressing bad actors as best possible within the shitshow that was the ROE. Amazingly, they were able to keep bad actors on their side of the ocean, even if they spread. They spread because they had to in order to come close to surviving. The destruction of ISIS was a fair enough example of having some of the gloves taken off. In any case, they were definitely kept on their back foot, and rarely had the initiative. It was not in vain. What's concerning to me is that we developed an amazing surveillance capacity to develop POL, and I can easily see those capabilities turned on our own citizens by a government that is quickly turning into a ruling class instead of one that derives it's power from the consent of the governed.

  33. It’s all hindsight - of course it’s easy to sit here and think about all the negative shit as a disgruntled 10+ year vet. You also had a lot of good times and did awesome shit. Tell kids those stories and let them go have the same awesome experiences amidst the bullshit. News flash, there’s bullshit in every avenue of life. I don’t envy the 23 yr old Delta FO a single bit. I couldn’t give two fucks how senior he’ll be at 65, how much $ he’ll make over a career, etc…he will never have the badass experiences I’ve had, he’ll never go to awesome places I’ve been, he won’t know the camaraderie that combat brings. I acknowledge he also won’t ever know the pain, the hardship, and the struggles. No ragrets - do it young guys.

  34. That’s a normal experience when first using RDS on pistols, happens to everyone. It can help to still pick up the front sight first (helps you find the dot) and then transition 100% to the dot before you would be lining up the rear sight. Sounds like your “defeating the purpose” of the red dot, but you’re not, it’s just an intermediary training crutch. You’ll be subconsciously finding the red dot immediately in no time. It’s so much faster than iron sights on initial and follow up shots, especially on multiple targets.

  36. This thread is wild and baffling. Military service is good for the person and it's good for the country. I encourage my kids to join. I have three and I think one will. I told them the same thing my dad told me, do four years and if you're having fun keep going. Otherwise get out. The more we isolate the military from all classes of the population the more we will see the political-mil issues we see today.

  38. I’ve steered several friends toward the Ranger Regiment , NSW, the Marines, and AF Special Warfare. They all were worried about transferable skills and I told them if they could handle one of the aforementioned jobs, they’ll be able to get some job on the outside because they’ll be able to make things happen with a winning attitude. What really drove the point home to me was when I went to a recent reunion with a bunch of bros I played college football with. They all were so interested in my stories and a bunch (including 3 former and 1 current NFL player) said they wish they would’ve done that. Do cool shit with your life and don’t rush to being a fucking square.

  39. Great questions. The answer is no. Every GO sold out, repeated the same supportive tripe in public while privately voicing concern at our trajectory, yet continued up the chain of rank and pay. Imagine if we had leaders who said this: “I resign from active service. I love our country but cannot continue in good conscience to lead our men and women into danger with no clear objective or purpose. Indecisive political policies are irresponsible, and I resign in hopes the ensuing attention will cause this matter to be taken seriously and resolved with urgency.” GOs reading this, and I know they are, will doubtlessly guffaw at the simplistic scenario I present above. However, they lacked the courage to take bold action. Everyone with combat experience knows we don’t have bold/courageous General Officers. We have highly intellectual GOs who can stay up 20 hours a day, run miles each morning and work their staff to death analyzing a multitude of variables… but they aren’t bold and can’t win.. So to the GOs readIng this in fury at my condemnation- I’m certain you think I am ignorant of how futile and ostracizing my proposed COA would be. You’d be embarrassed in front of your peers. It would be awkward and socially uncomfortable. But had you played that card, you’d be a hero today. Instead, congrats on the retired rank but you’re forever attached to the ignominy of how those wars ended. FWIW I practice what I preach and burned every bridge on my way out over an issue to help my young squadron members. It was uncomfortable going from #1 to the trash can, my peers and supervisors despised me at the end and I didn’t have a retirement ceremony over this issue. However, I played every card and logged a major win for the young captains 6 weeks before retiring.
