  1. All jokes aside. My middle son is leaving for Navy bootcamp in an hour. He's going for SWCC. Ive met some of his fellow trainees (been training with navy special warfare dudes for over a year) and there are still bad ass kids out there. I dont think they yell about it on social media as loud as the greenhaired woke Hobbits trying to neuter our male population though. We still have little bad asses out there. Sleep safe. Edit: My son after a few helicopter rides:

  2. Corruption is a major problem in Ukraine. Check. Some people may be pressured to keep aid flowing in order to keep some Ukrainians quiet about certain American financial/political issues. Check At the end of the day, Ukraine is still fighting against an unjustified invasion by one of our "competitors," and stopping that sort of thing is in our interests and the interests of basic justice.

  3. Its sad when political ideology clouds common sense, for pennies on the dollar and no American lives we have humbled the Russian military for a long time to come.

  8. Oh man, you guys are bringing up some memories. PACOM TSP20ican'tremember. AF couldn't decide where to put us for our TSP and a last minute change meant we were headed to Guam. No availability on-base for an entire Expeditionary Fighter Squadron so we ended up at the Hyatt Regency, directly across the road Porky's/The Viking. $3.50/day bs is for chumps! Every single Friday was 8-ship quick climbs (became a base event with nice crowds by the end) to either fly BFM, ACM or DCA. Beer light on at 1100 for a quick academic session and off to the base golf course at noon. Drunken golf till sun down...lots of damaged golf carts, sand traps and trees, I'm really not sure how we never got kicked off that golf course. Push downtown for standard buffonery to shut down the after hours bars. Tiptoeing out of hotel rooms I shouldn't have been in, pass out with the balcony door open listening to the waves crash into shore. Wake up to scuba/snorkel/hike, beach bar, rinse and repeat the previous night...for 4 fucking months! Checked out as best friends with the hotel manager/staff, 200k points, Hyatt Platinum status and a severely damaged liver. It was certainly one for the ages! Standard AF act, our AOS tankers kept getting taken for "HHQ tasking," so we kept getting delayed. As much fun as we were having, it was time to go. So Guard standard, we reached out to the bro network and made it happen internally. The tanker unit from our state was in town and had a two tankers headed home at the same time. Since a lot of us are college buddies, a plan was hashed out, likely while having drinks at the beach bar on Gunn beach. They worked their network for us and found a Fairchild Guard tanker to get the last 4-ship home a few days later. First 8 jets made it home without a hitch. My 4-ship left a few days later and ended up stuck in Hawaii for days waiting for that tanker to get fixed. They took as as far as they could (around Durango) before they had to head home, which meant a night in Denver for the night (more Hyatt points)...but thanks to that crew, great dudes! Apparently we ruffled quite a few feathers up at ACC or AOS for making it happen, but fuck'em, tankers were headed East anyway and we likely save the AF tons of cash/headache. Some people just get pissed when you do their job better than them. I know, I know, "we don't see the big picture..." Good times.

  9. No, but given the open source nature of this forum it is a far more trustworthy source than some guys YouTube video or Twitter research. At least looking across political alignments with the actual shown math format of their products you can formulate and evaluate the information. There are historical and active examples of the undeniable gains in disinformation campaigns turning into political effect and translating that into actual tangible battlefield capes. It’s the same reason we have Psyops as a domain within the Special Operations community. From a Russian cost analysis, Fomenting Anger and ignorance in vacuum chambers = political effects = no artillery shells for the Army they are fighting. It is the Information Age equivalent of Leaflet Drops or Tokyo Rose. You would have to be an idiot to ignore it both going on and who it’s targeting actively and passively when its obvious. 10. Immediately makes comments on a Russian backed narrative of how the US/NATO broke a promise and that’s why their actions bear justification. (Not their deliberate attempts to cross into NATO airspace lately). Posts earlier about the Maiden Revolution implying it was a US backed Coup. (First advanced via RT and Sputnik and still present in circles on social media) Makes comments on the other threads about illegal sale of western munitions and corruption. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-62983444.amp congrats, you’re being duped. Finds every open source example (because I doubt you’ve been on SIPR in a decade) of such examples highlighting their origins and advancement on social medie by Russian state actors and cyber brigades as “swallowing the mainstream media narrative.” Yeah dude you’re too smart to be used. You see through the giant Soros group media Cabal of information and understand how we can’t be supporting Nazi weapons manufacturers designing a Covid strain to target ethnic Russians… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. It’s (Ukrainian war)become a proxy war between the globalist left (not meant derogatorily) and the sovereignty focused populist right (again not derogatorily) in Western particularly American politics. I think both things are true at once but which do you prioritize? I suspect we need to call it (supporting counter offensive Ukrainian operations) but not quit supporting the Ukrainian state. They’ve taken back about 100 sq miles of territory at an unsustainable loss rate against the Russians so far, the Ukrainians know this hence the anecdotal stories like the above conscription bribery ones. I’m not for ever recognizing that territory as Russian and not for treating Russia in a antebellum manner until Putin is gone but it seems to me that we are approaching the point of negative returns if we push, encourage, support and resource continued Ukrainian offensive ops to reclaim territory. Free Ukraine has to be long term viable and I think the cost in blood and treasure to retake more territory probably works against that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. and when ukraine is losing you won't hear a fucking PEEP from the MSM or any of these other shills much like the crumbling COVID narrative, these cowards will quickly move onto the next "outrage" they're being propagandized to support. they'll put the "I SUPPORT CAUSE X" facebook banner as their temporary facebook picture, fly whatever flag in their window, and brow beat ANYONE who questions the narrative. such a simple minded existence

  16. I was a C-130E pilot at the time. There was absolutely nothing unique about my experiences, and I implied as much in the post prior. I did countless HR movements and MEDEVACs as did any other crew. This one was memorable and I'll tell you why. I don't care if you like my perspective, but I am always willing to listen to an opposing explanation. You know I've written on the matter quite a bit. You've had every opportunity to present an alternative viewpoint. Instead, all I am getting from you is "You're parroting Russian disinformation!" You may want everyone to deep throat and cradle the same government approved narrative you do, but I think it's important to continuously challenge it. I get it though... you're going to deploy soon. If you were to entertain any questions as to the validity or purpose, I suppose it would have detrimental effects. I did the same. I tried not to think about all the BS I saw because it made my deployments easier. But now that I've retired, I'm free to honestly reflect on it, in spite of your disapproval. Classy. I specifically remember Matt because after the deployment, his family had written my crew a very nice letter. Turns out his brother, now General Mark "Buzz" August, was my first instructor when I arrived at my first operational unit. One of, if not the, best C-130 pilots I've ever flown with. Someone I always admired and considered a friend. I realize the life of that "poor dead grunt" holds no importance in the mind of a strategic thinking stone-hearted killer like yourself, but as I plainly stated before, the threshold for conflict should be higher than it is to prevent the loss of life like his. But please, continue. The more you talk, the more you reveal.

  17. The only time I was ever late for showtime in my flying career was in Guam. They had to get the maid to let the AC into my room. Lol. He was laughing, I was throwing things telling them I didn't want room service. My Chief Boom didn't see the humor. He basically told me. "Biff" this is your one mulligan. We had a few other booms on that flight so it didn't leave the sqd. Fucking Guam!!!!

  18. Yeap. Those dudes make me laugh. They always seem to be extra bitter towards those who actually did the mission. Maybe when they see that a six year SrA has 10 more AMs than the 20 year O6, they'll let you guys stop wearing blues. Edit: Those guys always list every aircraft they “Flew” in their bios as well. Example: T-37,T38,C-5, F-16D (4 hours),B1 (5 hours) MC-130 (6 hours) , MH-53 (4 hours), Spirit Airlines (69 hours). 1 Air Medal. 10 bronze stars. Lol

  22. Hey everybody, the crew of people insisting they are interested in the “middle ground” approach are here to remind of a bunch of reasons we should stop helping the Ukrainians. But remember they want Russia to fail. We just have to wait until we find the flawless pure allied entity to do it for us, because until then we can’t allow our resources to be used for that purpose.
