What do you argue for, @Best-22? Or are you content to keep looking like a particularly impotent loser with your ubiquitous and utterly predictable downvotes from the sidelines?2 points

I still maintain that the way it reads, you only need a coyote shirt if you’re going to have undershirts with logos on them. Otherwise all colors are good. I’m a dirty sea lawyer and unfortunately my reasoning didn’t convince the vice.1 point

FIFY. And it tracks since you ignore pretty much all other fact in favor of your bloviated opinions, but they’re definitely important since you’re clearly the only one of authority who could possibly be correct.1 point

The subtext is (since you’re unlikely to understand it): you’re not nearly as important as you think you are1 point

Looking back at my points, I received points for doing SOS while on an overseas deployment, so I'd think you would get them. The only thing I can think of is if you're doing a full year of orders, you may not get them because you only get 365 retirement points in a year. break break Update to an earlier post in this thread. It has been done, a great friend/squadron mate has successfully ROPMA'd to LTC without doing SOS or ACSC. It couldn't have happened to a better guy. Fucking legend!1 point

I always hear that about top level players but it wasn’t nearly as widespread as people think. Some definitely got some shady money under the table, but the vast majority of players didn’t get anything beyond scholarship and stipend. Now with NIL, there are high school kids signing multi-million dollar deals just to sign at certain schools. It’s truly nuts. That coupled with the transfer rules changing completely changes the landscape. The dirty secret about the transfer portal is something like 50% of kids that enter it don’t find a home on the other side and their career is over. Wild stuff.1 point

Don't play their game, seperate to airline instead, or if you do-do it better...free agency, or maybe Guard or Reserve?? Active Duty Rated force is crumbling and buyers market is upon the rated pilot with free agency. For Big Blue: work with people without contracts, second order affects will follow accordingly. Oh, and make your acquisitions and test process better (i.e. equipped, manned, and informed) in order to be more responsive to rated forces/MWS inputs, needs, wants, and dreams. People want to do cool, shit hot missions..with today's tech1 point

And they think this will work? Rhetorical question. It won't change anything, just give more money to people that were planning to stay anyways. Some real "smart" people came up with this dumb idea. Sent from my SM-F926U1 using Baseops Network mobile app1 point

We are not "making" them fight, they choose to fight because well you know the Russians INVADED their country. I guess we should have forced them to roll over and surrender rather than defend their sovereignty.1 point

All jokes aside. My middle son is leaving for Navy bootcamp in an hour. He's going for SWCC. Ive met some of his fellow trainees (been training with navy special warfare dudes for over a year) and there are still bad ass kids out there. I dont think they yell about it on social media as loud as the greenhaired woke Hobbits trying to neuter our male population though. We still have little bad asses out there. Sleep safe. Edit: My son after a few helicopter rides:1 point

Series of articles arguing for an armistice and negotiated settlement to the Ukranian War: 3rd in the series, 1 and 2 linked in the page The Hard Truth: Ukraine Has No Realistic Path to Victory Over Russia - 19FortyFive Just to add to the discussion. I argue for my position with no enthusiasm but only because I think it is the least bad and best in the long term.-1 points

Sorry, busy rolling hay this week. Of course I am. "Universal scientific truth" is just a redundant way of saying "truth". I think you have developed your own personal truth, which (let's be honest) is just a collection of narratives you've been told to defend. Again, what good would you be as a soldier if you didn't espouse the "current thing?" You're currently in a contractual obligation. That obligation requires that you see things a certain way to be good at your job. You simply couldn't be good at your job if you allowed yourself the luxury of a non-biased objective perspective. You're a good soldier. The best kind. I no longer have any such obligation to military or civilian leadership. If I were in your position, I'd probably be vigorously defending my choices, and likely be better at it than you are. 😄 Aid and comfort to the enemy, eh? By arguing about Russia in a thread about the Chinese on forum which, (again, let's be honset) isn't exactly the most-visited website? I appreciate the promotion of my importance in your delusion of grandeur, but I'm aiding the enemy about as much as you're harming it here. Someone posted something around here about the Chinese being on the verge of collapse. Russia is having the very same internal domestic problems. Economic woes, population collapse, etc. Russia was doing perfectly fine digging their own grave. Again, in the course of two years they've been unable to project their military power more than a couple hundred kms into their own front yard. And this is the major geopolitical threat you feared was going to steamroll the European continent? As you well know, irrational fear is still an extremely effective propaganda tool to motivate people to do things they wouldn't ordinarily do. Did you take the shots because you believe in it, or were fearful of what you were told would happen if you didn't? You seem like the type of person that could justify most anything with an ounce of fear. Not good. Oh, really? What would those arguments be? List them. I could give you a dozen and you would simply say that they're all Russian disinformation and propaganda. It's an easy out. You're no different than anyone at MSNBC. Deliver the approved perspective while simultaneously shouting "MISINFORMATION! DISINFORMATION! MALINFORATION!" at everything contradictory. It's weak and transparent, but the funny thing is: you actually seem to believe it. It's the same projection we see from your side on nearly every issue. Accuse others of doing the very same thing you are. And when you say I "puff up and scream about the First Amendment", you seem to be mocking it. Honest question: Do you believe I should be restricted from saying the things I'm saying here because you've deemed them false propaganda and giving "aid and comfort to the enemy"? Lawman, as a gesture of good faith, allow me to disseminate some anti-Russian information from an official Ukrainian outlet to demonstrate that I'm not wholly opposed to promoting your side of the argument. https://twitter.com/SarahAshtonLV/status/1691105018215317504?s=20-1 points

In general I downvote bad faith arguments and people who exclusively post content that echoes Russian talking points. I don't bother engaging with gearpig or bashichuni, but I don't know you so I'll assume you're a reasonable person. I don't really have a lot free time to go in circles arguing on the internet. I appreciate the user's who take the time to counter the disinformation though and post things a little more grounded in reality. The last thing I downvoted for example: if you look at the authors other work it seems he only writes stories about how Ukraine has no chance and how the US shouldn't help Taiwan in a conflict. It seems that author would prefer the US lets Russia and China bully their neighbors while we sit at home on our hands. He's been posting with shaky logic and half truths since the start of the war about how Ukraine is doomed and we should just make concessions to Russia. It's very obvious that guy is pushing an agenda and is not an unbiased reliable source. To answer your question: I argue for a rules based international order, and supporting our allies.-1 points

Lame and weak. I haven't posted under the username gearpig in going on 6 years, right around the time you arrived here. You're obviously posting under a sock-puppet account because you're afraid to engage using your primary account. "Rules Based International Order" LOL. And you accuse me of repeating talking points. You don't have an original thought or phrase that hasn't been gleaned from a political talk show. Hypocrite.-1 points

Importance is subjective, by definition. Facts are not subjective. Either you don't know the definition of the word "importance", or the word "fact". Which is it? I crack myself up.-1 points
