  4. I like dogs. But this one time, my friend's daughter was riding her horse and the neighborhood nuisance pitbull mix or whatever tried to attack her (and him) through the woven wire fence. He went to his garage. He never saw the fat-headed dog or his vice grips again. Just remembered that and it made me feel good.

  10. Oh I’m well aware of what is acceptable and what is not. As I have said many times, I don’t approve of what the guy did at all and find it very immoral. But if someone thins that this is unacceptable but aborting a 7 month unborn baby is…well, there’s the rub.

  11. Stories I'm seeing just from scrolling the last half hour or so. Things are accelerating pretty quick. Sounds as though Israel (?) is bombing Aleppo, Syria. Reports are the airport has been destroyed. Military convoy attacked on the Iraq/Syria border. C-130J model Gunship in the skies overhead. Tonight, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh is meeting with the Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in Doha, Qatar. USS Eisenhower officially joining the USS Gerald Ford in the Eastern Med. Massive Pro-Palestinian protests in London Sweden Sydney Currently reading "The Fourth Turning is Here". Great book if you're trying to make all of this make sense. Also, Ray Dalio's "Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order" is good. Here's a video he produced with a fantastic space station perspective of what's currently happening (although he seems to be plagiarizing the work of lots of others). Worth your time. 12. I know this place is a conservative echo chamber, but rhetorically imputing disloyalty/impurity in a fellow service member's reason for choosing to serve, absent a dismissal or dishonorable discharge, is not good optics. I know it's the internet and all, but we all come from different backgrounds, very different backgrounds in fact. It's one of the things I have most appreciated about my time in the military, vis a vis what I've always considered to be, a banal conglomeration of rather insular and nativist regional cultures of the continental US. The irony of which does not escape me. At the end of the day, we are all guilty of disagreeing with 6-9 things that the State does which we tacitly support and get called baby killers/sympathizers/Empire-facilitators/bystanders for, by virtue of merely putting on the uniform on a voluntary basis. Given that political discourse non-starter, I think we could do without the true scots fallacies coming from our own side of the proverbial trench. Happy anal eclipse, er, annular eclipse! 😄

  13. Its hard to articulate the difference in words but choking a dog with jumper cables is not socially acceptable. Catching and releasing a fish is. If i saw a person choking a fish with jumper cables I would question his sanity. I love lamp

  14. I thought of suing my accuser for doing the same shit to me. I was told that the reasonable doubt that acquitted me would also make it almost impossible for her to be found liable for any damages. The only time a favorable outcome would happen is if one was to have "smoking gun" evidence of a text, or recorded conversation, of the girl claiming she made it up.

  16. Assumptions are the best deal out there if you have the time and money to cover the gap between their balance and the purchase price. Mortgage servicers don’t staff their assumption departments well because there is not any money in it for them which is why it takes a long time. I know many of my past clients who have done assumptions but the story is always the same…takes way longer than you’d like, lack of communication/updates, and paperwork can be disjointed. It’s worth it in the end but keep your expectation level low going into it. Once you get into underwriting then the pace picks up. If it doesn’t work out we’re always here to help with a new loan and then we’ll do a no cost streamline refi for you next year as rates come down. Good luck! 21. That's actually not what he said. If you listen to the whole briefing, the question the reporter asked was in regard to how long existing appropriations would last for both Israel and Ukraine before additional Congressional action needed to be taken to continue that funding. Action that can't be taken due to the lack of a Speaker as of now. The end of the rope was the currently approved funding, not the end of the rope of aid to Ukraine. Of course a carefully edited twitter snip doesn't capture that... White House Daily Briefing | October 11, 2023 | C-SPAN.org 39:00 if you want to hear the full question and answer.
