  1. You’re a helo pilot. Every input you’ve ever made is batshit and an affront to aerodynamics.

  3. It’s refreshing to see that the average everyday working class NORK can take their family to a nice waterpark………

  4. My wife and son say the same thing about me, my wife can't believe it, especially with my propensity to overlook chores around the house "how did you see that?" The product of playing Pop Warner, high school and college football. RPO has made the game even faster and I am glad the refs have kept up. I was reading some game analytics the other day. The average high school QB has 4 seconds to throw the ball, the average college QB has 3 seconds and the average NFL QB has 2.2 seconds. I thought about volunteer coaching at my son's school but my work travel has been stupid the past year, maybe when I retire.

  5. I know several guys that failed these personality tests for one of the majors and got hired by another one. Good system.

  6. No shit, there I was…downtown San Salvador, May 2023…three-ship of Salvadoran A-37s flying through the sunset. It was righteous.

  7. More recently it’s two parts: the would you rather amputate baby legs or kill a bus full of nuns section, and the fly blocks through canyons.

  8. It looks like this owner deleted the minigun option in favor of the out and back to Navy Brunswick lobster cubicle. Many a tweet trip from Plattsburgh and Loring to Brunswick was made in the 1980s and early 90s. Every time I made that run out of the 'burgh, there was another tweet there picking up lobster...I mean practicing PAR approaches.

  9. Great... and funny... video. Don't discount his knowledge based on his humor: he's got his facts right. The more I read up on the A-37, the more amazing it is that this tiny killer hasn't gotten more respect in the Vietnam history books. Here's a pic of the only one flying in North America. There may be a 2nd returning to flight status in 2024. It's MIL thrust is the same as a T-38 in MAX.

  11. Just when I think we've seen it all the Florida Gators set a new low by spitting in the face of an opponent. Filthy animals.

  12. 1. Have to go to work in a few hours so, no, not drunk. 2. Posting here, because this is where the target audience is. 3. 20y ago, I was a casual 2Lt waiting to start UPT. 4. -->On reflection, based on a totality of factors, I was dreadfully under-qualified. But somehow, I was there. 5. Pretty sure I blasted Eminem's Lose Yourself every morning driving in from base housing to the squadron, well into Phase 2. Seriously, if you're browsing this forum, my advice is to fight like hell: it's totally worth it!

  13. Not just that I’ve flown both methods of Helo. Explaining tandem aerodynamics and control principles is truly dark voodoo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. Yeah man, I think that’s obvious. I’m saying it’s a complicated topic that people have been trying to figure out for thousands and thousands of years. I’m not able to add anything… We’re all about 60 lifetimes of reading behind as is. For the purpose of this discussion, re: ‘will to fight’ it’s the folks who have the credible and enforceable authority to order forces to fight on behalf of a state. Also for the purposes of this discussion, it obviously varies by how you bound things in time (among a billion other ways to frame). For example, in our system the ‘will of the state’ comes down to exactly one human at a singular point in the first few minutes of a full-scale nuclear exchange… but you can zoom out from there to all the factors that put the button in his hand, and farther to the system in which that button exists, ad infinitum.

  15. I'm still confused that anybody in the military would hold a general to some sort of higher expectation. If anything my experience demonstrates that they are less likely to impress. These are the people that taught themselves to love the taste of shit just so they could one day be a general. The ultimate "yes men". They were not promoted in the field due to battle competence.
