  2. Spent the last two days completing my company's DEI and Microaggression training. I am now prepared to employ microinclusion...oddly I still hate Navigators.

  3. I believe this is just for the IFT-R program. So like how peeps used to go to IFS (turned IFT) before UPT to fly the DA-20. This contract is for a helicopter IFT that uses bell 505s. the last I saw about this small companies had the contract and had their first IFT grads last year. The company I saw was called Brenner aviation down in Texas. it’s my understanding that the UPT next for helicopters only is currently running, but they still use the Huey and it’s still at Rucker

  4. I sat there watching the hangar scene after the Cantina, with Jabba and Han chatting it up a-la-CGI with my jaw on the floor. Immediately wanted my money back.

  5. 3 Viper tours, a ROK visit, and throw in a sweet gig flying the hornet with some Northern friends takes me just over 20. I picked up an ATP before the big change over during a white jet tour. Turns out I may have wasted my money. I did like flying the Barron around though. i thought about doing the Guard job/ transition a while back, but the AF kept pulling be back with some sweet assignments. I have no regrets. I am looking forward to the light at the end of the tunnel, but im sure im gonna miss the Viper.

  6. Sorry if this the wrong thread to post this at but seeing Steve Davies post at the top reminds me that if you haven't seen his Youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKRC6h8Vk4d2a9hHDrS1hMA) 10% True, you are missing out. Tons of great aviation interviews on there.

  8. Completely agree. Also think a well organized group of federal law enforcement officers would have ended that situation very quickly.

  9. I took several of these tests with no prep and failed about half of them the first time. Probably because given the choices above, I'm always shooting the bus full of nuns.... it's more scalps and moving targets are fun. But they're looking for different priorities. The majors were a 6 month pause before reassessment, so I recommend being as honest as you are on the post deployment health survey when they ask if you have more than one to two drinks a month. Of course you don't.

  10. No shit, there I was…downtown San Salvador, May 2023…three-ship of Salvadoran A-37s flying through the sunset. It was righteous.

  11. Oh, a brain dead take on political issues on base ops. Who would have guessed. You (specifically) can’t help but make false equivalencies and invalid broad generalizations, which you demonstrate literally every single day you post here. The truth is that Americans support way more nuance in this discussion than your backwards reductionist views. The majority of Americans do not support abortion past 24 weeks. Only 19% of Americans believe abortion should be legal with no strings attached. Oh that’s against the narrative you’re stating? Source: https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2022/05/06/americas-abortion-quandary/ A lot of people think that it should be allowed in extreme cases beyond an arbitrary time stamp (guaranteed non viability, extremely high risk of death, fetus is almost guaranteed dead). This is not the same as when you try to insinuate democrats support anyone - for any reason as flippant as they just don’t feel like it - should be able to get a third trimester abortion. THATS AN EXTREME VIEW DEMOCRATS DONT EVEN SUPPORT. But it’s in talk radio. You’ve been propagandized. You have to know this, right? But I guess you couldn’t win this argument without bending reality or convincing yourself of some slightly flawed logic. Finally, you guys are wrong about the potential of this to be perceived as just a states rights issue. This is a big deal. To the MAJORITY OF AMERICANS, this was a fundamental attack on Women’s and men’s rights to plan their families. That’s how the majority of Americans (and a supermajority of Democrats) feel, and the longer you try to pretend it’s just a legal battle or was justified via some federalist debate, the longer you lose. Just telling you the truth. Here’s a graph showing how republicans are actively losing the support of independents across the country. 57 to 41, that’s not even close. Now that we’ve had a good time debunking the logical basis of your arguments, let’s go to the emotional way you’re losing this debate (and with it, the American people’s support): Go ahead and explain why does it affect your poor Christian family if another family that you have never interacted with gets an abortion 2 cities over? Get out of people’s lives. Also, are you suddenly okay with it if it’s just across state borders? Choose a side. If you’re gonna play the pathos argument and then go straight to a legal logos you just sound disingenuous. Which you are. But you sound like it, too. Oh, and is it really a states right thing? Or is it an overreaching control over everyone thing? Why is Texas trying to inhibit the ability for federal citizens to go to states that align with their views to enjoy the freedoms of those states? https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Health/wireStory/west-texas-county-bans-travel-roads-seeking-abortion-104256476 Shit like that is what Republicans laugh about. It’s what the rest of Americans are terrified of. That’s a disadvantage for y’all, sorry.

  12. https://www.edwards.af.mil/Units/USAFTPS/ Does anyone here have experience with the space test course? The website is pretty vague, and doesn't really explain who its targeted for or what its like beyond "college academics". It seeming to be a sister school to TPS makes me intrigued that it might be more hands-on than just college classes in the desert.

  14. Failure is not an Option - Gene Kranz. Saw the guy talk at KOSH last year with all the Apollo astronauts, it was great, he still drove the conversation and was the clear leader, when he spoke people listened. Hero of the Republic.
