  1. @pawnman @Pooter @Prozac @disgruntledemployee @nsplayr @Homestar @Snuggie @jazzdude You all just got directly called out in the debrief. Full accountability. Care to defend, retract, alter or otherwise explain your stances? Accountability is what we need and what most of you have preached.

  3. Update: the A-37 will be flying the Hill AFB Airshow 29-30 June. We are trying to work it so it goes to the static area when it isn't flying. It's a waste to leave it in the non-public Hot Pit. Mark is the other pilot and he does all of the demo flying. I'm hoping to be there to help out and talk to the public. If I'm there, say hi and identify yourself as being from BO.net.

  4. Ditch the orange flight suit, carry a grease pencil and wear the "gay" scarf I sent you. The kids will love it! I should send you my A-37 model sitting in the closet. You could auction it off for gas money.

  5. Listened to an episode of Honestly today going over the NY Trump verdict. In the discussion was a comparison of the NY prosecutor's zeal and the prosecution of Capone, an alleged murderous mobster convicted of whatever investigators could grasp onto at the time--tax evasion. This seems to fall into the same broad metaphorical bucket but at the other end of the spectrum; given what is known via Hunter's laptop and witness statements, the gun charges are token at best; more realistically just a distraction from the reality that no meaningful justice will be pursued. Move along, people.

  6. Why don’t you try explaining it in your own words/opinions anyway? If you want to/can. In other news, Zelensky is now plan ing on releasing prisoners to fight in its war.

  7. Also having a hard time remembering that place...but maybe for different reasons? First overwater trip in the FRS, so first stop after LPLA. Great watering hole for several fantastic trips in the next few years. 🍻

  9. Probably business as normal-ish. T-38 delays dont affect T-1s. Different squadrons, instructors, planes, sims, etc....T-38s were delayed when I was at UPT. My classmates that went 38s just washed back classes and we kept on goin.

  12. The Constitution preempts any and all state laws including business licenses. It doesn't matter what law a state passes allowing police to search businesses. Just like a state cannot pass a law saying National Guard troops can be lodged in someone's home without consent. A butcher shop is subject to state inspections, but those inspections are consented to. If an inspector shows up, wants to do an inspection, is refused, and then continues anyway and arrests the person for not complying, that is an unlawful search and wrongful arrest. The state can immediately revoke the butcher license, but they cannot continue a search (or "inspection") after being turned down without a warrant. In this case the police should have said 'fine, you won't let us in, we'll suspend your license'. As soon as they forced their way in anyway, they became the bad guys.

  13. Seriously? I'm assuming that you're military and have actually read the Constitution that you've sworn to protect. Police don't conduct "inspections". They are clearly searching the store without a warrant, which is against the Constitution. They arrested a man for not complying with their illegal search, which is a wrongful arrest. Very likely they broke some things in the process, like the cop going over the counter by sitting on a glass case and other guys forcing the door open that is designed to keep people out. Every one of these cops should be fired and then arrested for breaking and entering. The modern tyrannical police state has broken the public faith and the only way to restore that faith is to hold themselves accountable for following the law they pretend to enforce.

  14. Averages in the AD fighter world: - Gone from home 50% of the time (TDY, deployments) - 60 hrs/week at work (at work time, not counting the hours you’ll sporadically spend at home finishing prep for upgrade rides…first as the student, then in the future as an IP). - Daily work times all over the place depending on training plan, airspace times, etc. If you have young kids be prep’d for time periods you won’t see them for days at a time since you’ll be gone to work before they wake up and home when they’re back to bed (or at least close to it). But then there’s a night week where you get several hours with them in the morning…just have a good coffee plan since you went to bed at 0230 and they woke you up at 7. The above are general for CAF fighter squadrons. If you take an assignment at some point to AETC, test (kind of…can actually be worse time-with-family wise sometimes), UPT, etc. you’ll likely get a reprieve from the hustle and have a lot more time with family. Great leadership vs. meh leadership can swing this either direction. The ANG is better QOL. How I handled the above with wife and kids: maxed the weekends with them, if I had the ability to get home early enough to have dinner and some post-dinner time with them I’d do that, then finish up whatever prep-for-next-day I had after kids went to bed. I took leave when I could and didn’t feel bad about it. There are less ops tempo times as well…sometimes you have a phase where you can get away earlier. Use those “gifts” to do things with family instead of having that 6th beer in the bar (but definitely have a couple!)

  15. They took the back cover off of the UPT syllabus and the front cover off of the IFF syllabus and put them together. Expect your non-fighter dudes to do the standard UPT flying, and your fighter dudes to do the IFF sorties primarily. Most likely scenario is that the different IFF sortie types (BFM, BSA, etc.) will be a letter of X's thing.

  16. Are you in now? If no, do some soul searching on what you really want out of life because military aviation will absolutely cut into family time and spouses opportunities, etc. If yes, then accelerate that soul searching and talk to IP’s from a variety of sources because there isn’t a flying job out there that won’t take up a ton of your time. And if you just want wings and plan to be a shitty wingman/copilot and not be good so you can spend all your time at home, please don’t pursue this job.

  18. I notice all the defenders of C19 policies from a few years ago have gone silent. Anyone getting the new boosters? Anyone still think schools should’ve been closed longer & masks on airplanes “saved lives?” Anyone still glad we censored actual scientists & allowed malicious actors like Fauci to drive the narrative? I don’t want to shame fellow posters here. Moving forward I just want us to acknowledge that we shouldn’t reflexively trust the government, we should value and preserve freedom, and we must demand accountability from these people. And in the future, when an event happens and all media is synchronized that we have no time to think or debate and must immediately implement highly restrictive measures for safety, and the experts will tell us when we’re allowed freedom again… when that event inevitably happens: they’re lying. Resist.

  19. I have yet to meet someone who uses the term "cuck" as a pejorative who can reliably make a woman cum. Your internet troll persona is weak and frightened, but now you're venturing into the 14-year-old with an internet connection territory. Relax a little.

  21. Maybe, maybe completely invalid. All depends on if one made a good spouse choice. @wikz If you meet someone who shares your values/morals, has good female/maternal qualities (even if you don’t want kids right away, those are still good qualities to look for), and is supportive of your goals, then do not pass her up. My wife has been instrumental in my life, and that includes 3 days after the honey moon when she moved alone to Vance and I went direct to party my face off at Maxwell for 6 weeks before starting UPT. The right one is out there, don’t be in a rush, but don’t go so fast you miss the signs of a quality mate. It may happen at the most unexpected time.

  22. There’s still leaders in the AF that do right by their people and who give a shit about getting the mission done. Never worked for/with Mini but glad to see a guy who had such a positive impact on his formation go out with style.

  25. My only interaction with soon to be Lt Gen Conley was when he was the 1 SOW CC and he said we couldn't wear Friday shirts anymore. HOWEVER, most people that I respect who have actually interacted with the guy are excited so that's good. When I heard the rumors that a 1 star was jumping up, I thought it might be BG Tom Palenske (Conley's 1 SOW predecessor). I actually interacted with him a few times and he did one of the coolest things I've seen a commander do. When I told him my dad was in the 20th SOS "Green Hornets" in Vietnam, he told me he had been the Commander of that unit and went out of his way to make sure to send my dad a coin and have the 8th at Hurlburt show him around and give a really awesome CV-22 tour when he came down to visit. Very cool thing to do that he absolutely didn't need to.

  26. The douche canoe below known as Cat 5 (he has done more damage than a Cat 5 hurricane), also known as Fat Tony. As a SQ/CC he gave out 20+ Commander directed Q-3's, he tried to punish a U-28 crew dog with an LOR for losing his weapon only to lose his weapon a short time later and have it covered up when his Chief found his gun in the shitter. He was "soft fired" by the SOCOM/CC Gen Brian Fenton. Multiple people in the room/on the line for numerous confrontations between the two including a VTC in that dissolved to a shouting match. Fenton being the four star CC called CSAF and said move him or I will publicly fire him. USAF in it's infinite wisdom decided to save this piece of $hit and screw all the cadets at the Academy. They don't want any more bad press. Former AFSOC/CC and now VCSAF Jim "Slife the Knife" Slife has maneuvered to PURPOSELY keep gunship guys out of play (In the history of the only command that has gunships there have only been three gunship guys to command AFSOC....three out of the last four CC's have been Pavelow dudes...Fat Tony is a Talon turd, the only platform that will lift him off the ground. Slife is a complete sycophant who thinks only BPZ folks are qualified to command. He knows better than ANYONE...truly a HORRIBLE HUMAN. BGen Mike Conley is a well respected Pavelow/CV-22 dude, has been nominated to go from BGen to LtGen and become the next CC. He is level-headed and thoughtful and will hopefully bring some peace and stability to the command.

  27. If I was in command, there would be huey gunships, P-38s and A-26s. We wouldn’t last 5 minutes in a war but we'd have some fun training. And your commander would be an Air Force O-3E.
